  1. Hello! In march I completed my latest Moc, and today I took some photos. It's a wheel loader Volvo L 350H in 1.22 scale. It is an updated version of L 350G by Lego, which I used as parts pack. The bucket is in 1.22 scale, so I decided to build in this scale. I used XL motor for driving, and M motor for steering, by 2 mini LAs. Arm and bucket are controlled by L and M motors, and they have quite good movement range. Battery box and receivers are inside the bonnet. The tyres are third party, 96mm diameter. Sticker are home made! I hope you like it!
  2. Oh sorry! In this case, you don't have the small blue pump, but the big manual pump. Same system, but manual and not motorised.
  3. In my model I used: 2 "large cylinder" (boom and rise the back) https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=19467c01#T=C 2 "medium cylinder" (bucket and counteweight) https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2793c01#T=C 1 pump https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=19482c01#T=C&C=7 4 valves (switches) https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=4694cc01#T=C If you have the 42043, you have most of the required parts. Did you build the 42043? The system you find in this Zeux is more or less the same!
  4. Hello! I don't have any instructions, but basically I just replaced linear actuators with pneumatics, adjusting pivot points where needed, to obtain a good movement range. At the moment, the model doesn't have the motorised pump anymore. I replaced it with a manual pump (more accurate pression).
  5. It is more likely 1.17 scale. I like it, the cab is very recognisable, especially in orange. I also like the body and the modularity, it is something I'm gonna add in my next trucks. Well done!
  6. Theorically the 2 joysticks will control also the turret rotation (as in the real machine) and we suppose that turret rotation is connected to the hub in the undercarriage, so with 2 thumbs you should control functions connected to 2 different hubs.
  7. I see that in the last days TLG is releasing images of many summer sets (city, star wars, ninjago, Harry potter...). So can we expect something also for Technic??
  8. I think we all have our own feelings and thoughts. I forgot about old sets with many motors – in general I think there was a tendency to reduce costs and insert only 1 or 2 motors per set. The 8043 is absolutely unplayable in my opinion. When you operate an excavator you must move the arm and turret in the same time, and switch the gearbox every time you need to rotate the turret is not a good thing. The building was very enjoyable and the engineering inside the model is at a very high level. But playability is simply unacceptable for me. And that’s the reason there was the “ultimate 8043 mod” with 6 motors. I must confess that I build mocs just to re-create real machines and functions as more accurately as possible, but at the end I play with them… 10 minutes in a year!
  9. Yes, I think only the 42030 had all the functions simultaneously. In all the other sets there is a minimized number of motors and a lot of gearboxes, so you must operate one function per time. Here 7 motors and 7 functions, somebody will not be happy, but most of the mocs are done like this because they are way more playable like the real machines!
  10. Also the boom must be loaded on trucks. Just look on Google images
  11. It was already mentioned. It is the 7th function!
  12. They simulate the "hooks" that are in the real machine, used to load the disassembled parts on trucks.
  13. Good pictures here: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-42100-technic-liebherr-r9800-bauma-2019/78977
  14. The new LA's looks to be 17 studs long full retracted, including brackets. The current LA's are 13 studs retracted - 18 extended. I suppose the new LA's will be 24 studs when extended.
  15. It looks to be exposed at the Bauma now, so we can expect more photos today !
  16. One of the best Lego Volvo loaders! I like it a lot.
  17. O.T. question: how do you calculate wheel dimensions? Thank you!
  18. That means that there are already 9 hidden sets between the Liebherr (42100) and the Landrover (42110) ?
  19. Very very beautiful model. It does not look as a C-model, I don't see any compromise due to lack of parts. Very good job!
  20. I like it very much. Why so many motors? What does this truck will do after completed? My Arocs works very good with 1 XL motor for driving / tip and 1 servo for steering. Looking forward to see the progress!
  21. The suv is black or DBG, with red chassis and black wheels. The truck is red, white a and maybe LBG, the car looks medium blue. The crane is yellow, it looks to have the long linear actuator.
  22. I don't like the real machine, but this model is a must-buy in my opinion. It looks strong and functional, so I will build it for fun and to learn something new, and then disassemble it and use the parts for an other excavator. Liebherr is a good choice, so we can have white machines and not yellow as usual. I expect a big dumper in the future, if the collaboration between Liebherr and Lego will go on in the next years... We were waiting for a big excavator bucket... and now we have a front shovel bucket... and it is DBG... great!
  23. Did anybody try these tires on lego rims? They are 1.9” so they should fit on 56mm rims, but the dimension I see in the photo is 48mm (inner hole) Option 1 (1.9”, 96mm) https://www.ebay.it/itm/1-9-1-10-96mm-OD-Rubber-Tyres-for-RC-Rock-Crawlers-RC-4wd-AXIAL-SCX10-CC01-4PCS/223220301269?hash=item33f8f77dd5:g:eBYAAOSwab1b4Q-T:rk:3:pf:0 Option 2 (1.9”, 95mm) https://www.ebay.it/itm/5pcs-RC-1-9-Rock-Crawler-Tires-Tyres-95mm-Fit-RC-4wd-Axial-1-9-Beadlock-wheels/173382540219?hash=item285e679bbb:g:8AoAAOSwWwtbM1Jp:rk:3:pf:0 Option 3 (1.9”, 90mm) https://www.ebay.it/itm/5pcs-1-9-Rock-Crawler-Tires-Tyre-90mm-Fit-RC4WD-Axial-1-9-Beadlock-Wheels-Rims/282605555574?hash=item41cc9a8f76:g:sEQAAOSwIIxZjAJY:rk:1:pf:0
