  1. My alternative model of set 42139 is inspired on the old set 9398. The color scheme is almost the same, and some stickers of the all-terrain-veichle fit quite well. The model has basic functions: - Hog steering - double pendular suspensions - opening hood and fake engine - front winch The building instructions are available on rebrickable: https://reb.li/m/122398
  2. If it's like 2h 2022 we don't have much hope... I like your sarcasm
  3. Hey TLG where are the construction machines???
  4. I'm waiting for exactly those parts too and I think that one additional problem is that the inventory of the Ferrari has not yet been published on Bricklink and so sellers can't sell single parts either. Lego owns Bricklink and they're having the control of parts sales here too.
  5. The Volvo 42053, the Arocs 42043...
  6. In the list the release date is 01-08-2022
  7. Yes that's also my thought. And probably licensed ... Anyway, DBG is a more universal color than yellow, and nowadays almost all construction machines have black/dark grey actuators.
  8. Publish a photo with this one and the Lancia together!
  9. Very difficult choice! The loader is nicer in my opinion, but it is an "usual" subject. The Mecalac is very "unusual" and more complex and I think the arm is perfect, but I think there are some proportions are off, maybe the cab is too tall?
  10. The model is awesome, but I really think it is not a Technic model, at least it is not built in the Technic style, so I don't know if it will be allowed in the contest.
  11. Absolutely brilliant! Nice details in this compact scale.
  12. Excavator bodywork is very Technic style, some holes and some panels placed in the right way. Simply perfect. Small tracks are too small. Maybe the rubber tracks are the best. I hope you will make instructions for both models
  13. I think black hubs would look better on your model, I like the photo you posted on Wednesday with black hubs.
  14. I'm a big fan of Technic panels, you can create unique shapes with them, and this is the example!
  15. Both very good models and both very good candidates for the contest!
  16. The adjustable track width is a feature especially of demolition excavators, so my suggestion is to include also a tilting cab. Very good choice and a good start!
  17. The pins look very dark anyway, same color as the 6x6 plate below the load of the container handler.
  18. They are inserted in LBG connectors (ar at least they look LBG connectors) and they are darker... Sorry I meant "train" set. 60336.
  19. Looking very promising! I always like your building style so I will look forward to see the final result. Do you have an idea of what scale is this model? I also think that rubber tracks would be better.
  20. I spot half pins in dark bluish grey in the new train set. Not sure if they are the friction or frictionless version.
  21. An idea for a future contest could be to replicate an official Lego Technic set in small scale, setting for example a limited number of parts or a max dimension (20 studs) but keeping Technic style, colors and functions as close as possible to the original. More or less what I did with my Volvo
  22. Mmmh no, 42128 is a good example of medium-sized multi functional set, and it is also a showcase model. New Technic sets are more and more similar to scale models with some function, so they have more appeal in my opinion. What I noticed recently is that there is less emphasis to the introduction of new big sets. No "designer videos", no presentation videos, or very limited to cars (they did it for the Sian, the Ferrari, the McLaren, but nothing for the D11T of the BMW bike for example).
  23. It works really well! Why did you decide to have this feature (bucket at the same angle when rising boom) even if the real ones don't have it?
