Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
How big would people want this theoretical statue of liberty to be? I watched a YouTube video earlier today where the YTer designed a NWH final battle set based on those giant Harry Potter figures. Replace the second fig with some scaffolding, a stand and a shield and you've got a pretty packed set for under £100 (if they were to price it similarly) . Unrelated, any new thoughts on the Quinjet? I'm planning on selling my Endgame one but I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading.

LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Oh maybe, I'm just going off memory tbh. But yeah, different enough to be interesting, but similar enough that it wouldn't require too much effort on TLG's part. Hopefully they, and it, are more prominent next season so we can finally get him. At this stage he's shown up in a bigger variety of things than most other characters.

Ah okay, thanks! I was referring to that green X-Wing at Saw's base. I doubt it'll happen now but a remake of a classic vehicle but with its own unique look seems like the sort of thing Lego would be all over. Especially when you consider Poe got 3 X-Wings, 2 for TFA alone. But considering how brief it was, I wouldn't be surprised if TLG didn't know it existed until the episode aired. Would have been a good opportunity for a long overdue Saw and Two Tubes to boot.

Count me as someone who would also love to see more Andor sets, even though we probably won't until season 2. I do agree that Andor largely doesn't lend itself to toys outside of speeders and such, but was one ship that was featured in the last ten minutes of Episode 8 that I could have seen them making. If it came with the characters in that scene I think it would do quite well. (I forget how to do spoiler tags so I've kept it vague)

Re: the Kuill conversation, just seen one on eBay for the first time for £59.95 ($66). Same for the Blurgg and Mythrol. Then the same person's selling Mando and Grogu together for £75 ($83). Curious to see whether other initial sellers follow that lead.

100% with you on that. I want to be able to support Marvel modulars every step of the way but as soon as it starts hitting those prices I'm probably going to have to dip out. Far as I'm concerned the only things I'd spend that sort of money on are iconic SW vehicles. And even then...

I assume because both ships are silver in universe, so if they can do a good looking Razor Crest in grey they can do the NRS in grey as well. - Nothings changed since the leaked pictures. Still think it looks fantastic. Like the Falcon before it I'll spend the next few years trying to convince myself I don't need it while constantly yearning for it. I also love that Blurgg. If I can get a hold of that somehow (plus Kuill) and they start printing on Mando's helmet in regular sets then the Razor Crest's absence from my desk will be an easier pill to swallow. Maybe I'll try and make one of those N-1 Mocs to help tide me over. edit: the animated video on Instagram has Boba's helmet and jetpack in the correct colour. I feel like TLG are taunting us.

Oh, it's beautiful... But as gorgeous as it looks, I really don't think I can justify it after only just getting round to buying the Falcon this year. Maybe if I win the lottery...

With the Ant-Man set, what do people think the chances are of microfigs? Do those only generally show up in bigger sets? I've never really thought about it.

Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
I assumed the leakers knew what the set was, and that's why they were able to to say what the set wasn't? But if nothing's confirmed are they just being drip fed hints as well which they're then passing down to us? Regardless, anything Black Panther related, outside of Wakanda itself, for $500, is a terrible choice. As many have said, vehicles aren't really something Marvel are known for, but if you include the comics, I'm sure I could come up with a list of Marvel vehicles that could make for interesting sets... and the Black Panther vehicles would be a ways down the list. I agree the statement that a lot of companies seem to think that people will go crazy for anything Wakandan. And sure, Wakanda is cool, but the most interesting part about it, to me, is T'Challa himself. All in all though I'm just glad it's something I'm not remotely interested in. Besides I'd rather only have one massively out of my price range set to long for at a time and that honour will probably be going to the Razor Crest.

That's fair. I guess for me the boots on Spider-Man figures stand out due to how little printing they have (Sanctum variant and the inside out suit excluded - although I don't own the latter). I get what you mean though. But I think you could avoid that by stripping the blue sections of printing. They don't really need it imo.

Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Been pretty busy so I haven't had much time to work on the Sanctum, but I got to the bag containing Spider-Man today. While there's not a lot of boot printing, I feel like what is there really does make all the difference. I put it next to the Spidey figure that came with the bugle, and it just looks so much better having something on the boots so the torso and the legs don't contrast so much. Would full boot printing be better? Of course. But if this is as much as we're going to get I'm pretty happy. Hopefully it makes its way onto more Spidey figures.

Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
The printing's better on the older hairpiece too, but a slight downgrade on the figures seems to be the norm with the Sanctum unfortunately, Spider- and Iron Man excluded. I am tempted by Gargantos! I like his scene in the film and I would also like to get my hands on America and a better Wong. Might have to wait a while though - I bought the Sanctum before hearing about all the attainable deals from Zavvi and Argos so now my wallet needs a rest, I think Also, unrelated - I forget how people around here feel about customs (I generally browse, but don't buy, bar one exception), but Firestar has a new Stormbreaker mould on their site which is pretty cool. Puts even the new build from the Goat Boat to shame.

Finished the ground floor of the Sanctum. Been a fun build so far. Love all the little details packed into every little corner. The updated Dr Strange fig is great (I know it's not new to this set but I never got the Gargantos set), although I still prefer the fabric cape personally (and his Infinity War hairpiece, for that matter). First time I've seen the new Iron Man helmet up close as well. Now I have it in hand the size doesn't bother me so much. Scale aside it's definitely the best looking of the 3 types imo.

Starling Toys also has another good offer (£180) but is already sold out unfortunately. I've already kind of psyched myself up for the trip to the Lego store to get the set though so I don't mind too much.

It's also available for pre-order at Smythe's in the UK! Just wondering, anyone have any idea of the box dimensions? I'm considering going to pick it up from Liverpool tomorrow but I don't drive, so I'm not sure how foolish that would be

I'm okay with him looking like comic book Namor, since my display is a mix between cinematic and comic, however, while it's not perfect, the Tasu Leech head from SW:TFA might be a good substitute. I'll try it out once I get my hands on the Namor fig.

Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Pretty cool sets! Although the images I'm looking at aren't the best resolution. I'm enjoying the sleek designs of the various Wakandan vehicles, I agree though that the Sunbird doesn't look like it should be the price it is. There's a charm to that 4+ set. Very simple, fun and good figures. I'd like to see some better pictures and get a closer look at Iron Heart and Namor though, as the latter in particular is what excites me most about this film. Edit: Am I right in thinking minifig Namor is lacking facial hair?

Very excited to see this. I actually held off on buying the system scale set at the time because I was sure a better looking variant would come around and here it is! Unfortunately although the price per part is good, it's still pretty pricey. Much more so than I would have guessed a few years back. If I get this it probably won't be for a while. It took me 5 years to get around to buying the Falcon, and even then that was with a heavy reduction. I'd definitely like to see some of the figures @The Stud mentioned. Kuill most of all!

Yeah, I'm happy with that build. Looking forward to it. The previously unseen figures don't inspire me that much though, bar maybe Mordo. I need a closer look at him.

You must have godlike vision to make out all of those sets! Haha, that picture quality is absolutely terrible. But I can see a beige splodge in the middle and I like location sets, so I hope your theory is right.

Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
As you say, they're all pretty similar. In terms of significance though, the one from last year is pretty much Spider-Man's standard comic costume (and now, I guess, the closest to Holland's costume). The MK4 is from Spider-Man: Worldwide when Peter was doing a bit of a Tony Stark routine (own company, globetrotting adventures, Spider-Man is his pretend bodyguard) and is basically just a reinforced version of the standard suit with some hidden upgrades. The main feature is that the suit has a bit of a metallic sheen and logo glows, which obviously doesn't happen on the minifigure, making it more or less just another stylised take on his standard costume. I agree that it's a pretty good looking figure. The 4+ one... As in the one that just came out from 'Spidey' or the Far From Home one? Either way I guess they're designs that are relegated to non-comic media, so it depends how much emphasis you put on those. The CMF one is obviously pretty popular, a more vibrant take on Holland's costume. But in reality it's obviously based on that one episode of What If? and the Disney park - making it, perhaps, the least significant? Especially since you've already included the Homecoming suit in your collection. I don't really have anything to say about Ultimate. I like that it's printed on a blue torso but other than that it's just more of the same really. TL;DR: The current 2021- Spider-Man minifigure is probably the most comic accurate and significant. MK4 is cool too and straddles the line between the classic and what it's actually meant to represent.

I'll say this for the Kenobi sets, they're pretty good for delivering desirable figures. As such, I'm very glad Ben is also going to be in the Scythe, because this set itself is just kind of... Nothing? May try and pick up Ned down the line. Cool to see a new Vader piece and Lego using the new skin tone once again.

Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Yeah that's fair enough! I've just been wanting a Spider-Man with something on his boots forever, so I'm easily swayed I guess. That combo Defender Strange would have been awesome. Now I'm even more disappointed haha. I guess the only real surprise now is what Wanda looks like? Presumably Strange will be the one from the Gargantos set, and Iron Man will be the one from the previous Sanctum but with the new helmet? Tbh, bar the four main heroes, these extra figs are probably just going in my parts bin or getting sold to make some money for Bricktober Wong. edit: forgot about Mordo.

Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Effectively yeah, but the design is ever so slightly different. The printing on the blue has changed for instance. Plus the head and the feet as you've said. I love it personally. A few simple changes but effective, I think. Next step, full boot printing! The rest of the figures though? Eh. Ebony Maw is cool I guess. Looking at the zombie Strange I think I might have actually preferred his regular, Defender Strange look.
