Regarding those bearings bowing the piece, I can see where that could cause some issues down the line, so I will avoid using them, thanks. As far as the pneumatic suspension, that is an interesting concept, that I will investigate further, may adapt it for my own use even, if I can round up all the spare parts. New dinosaurs are great always look forward to getting them, however I am very disappointed with the sets themselves, they are all the same dino, jeep and a bit of foliage. At least in the past we got trucks, planes, helicopters, all terrain vehicles, even motorcycles. A little more variety would have been nice, then there's the visitor center with no vehicle at all. And of course the tiresome price argument, seriously the 211 piece Dilophosaurus chase for $20 is about what you would expect but then we have the 281 piece Triceratops Research set at $50, so $30 more for a slightly larger Dino and 70 extra, rather smallish pieces.

That steering action seems to change drastically from it's low position to it's high position, how's the handling? It also seems like those pneumatic cylinders are more for ride height adjustment rather than working suspension, is that correct? It does look like some fun to drive and while not exactly my cup of tea, I would like to see more LEGO elements used where possible.

Simply amazing, these type snow machines seem to be relatively popular builds to replicate and I enjoy checking all of different approaches people use. This one however is superb and quite possibly the best yet, if I were to change anything it might be to smooth out the front blade a little, regardless great work man, I can tell you put a lot of thought and planning into the whole build. I would like to see the underside though, always my favorite.

Super work, looks and functions absolutely great. Can never get enough of the belly shots, love to study the mechanical workings, can't wait until this set is available to me, definitely a day one purchase. Hopefully I can make use of some of your modifications, thanks.

Just about finished building this set and I must say I very much enjoyed it. Also glad I bought it, almost didn't, mostly because of negative comments, fortunately I seldom base my decisions on others opinions. However I did have one issue with the steering, not sure if others experienced it or not. During the build process the steering worked very smoothly until the front end module was attached, then suddenly the steering became hurky jerky and was not a smooth operation at all. Checked to make sure I got everything put together correctly, still the issue persisted. Ended up replacing the two blue 12z gears on the steering rack with the old black double bevel 12z gears. Problem solved works smooth as silk now. Honestly surprised nobody has mentioned this issue, as I am sure others have experienced the same problem, maybe it just isn't that big of a deal to others, lol. Also as I was building, I constantly think of alternate models to build and useful ways to utilize new parts, I couldn't help but think of a submarine for a B model, probably just because of the way the whole driver compartment looks and the color. So I already can't wait to tear it down and start working on the sub. Really like this set, even with all the cars LEGO throws us.

Looks absolutely great, right on par with your car mocs, keep up the excellent work and please continue to show them. I am curious about how robust the back of the truck is because it looks so realistic as a truck, it also looks quite spindly or flimsy, as a LEGO construct, still think it looks fabulous though, thanks. My favorite views are from the underside, always enjoy seeing how the mechanics work.

If all else fails just have them send you some pictures when they get there and then tell them what to fill your cups up with.

Looks very good, although I may be a bit biased, as I generally like everything you make. If I had a single gripe about this one it would be the huge mass atop the vehicle, so much stuff but hard as I look I find no kitchen sink. Anyway again it is a great moc and I thoroughly enjoyed checking it out, really like the way the wheel covers worked out.

Hope this is the right place for this question, no need for a new topic anyway. So by now most of us are familiar with the correct way to align multiple universal joints, to avoid cavitation. Recently though I have been using more and more CV joints rather than U joints which got me to wondering. Is it important to line them up the same way as the U joints, or with CV joints, is it even necessary?

This does look like a very good set, even though I do not collect or build Friends sets. I have noticed how much they have improved in the last couple of years and quite frankly seemed to have knocked this new wave right out of the ballpark, good job LEGO. Thanks for the review as always @Pchan1983, may seriously consider picking this one up.

Usually that icon indicates an alternate control panel or user interface. I am going to have to come back to this and check it out a little better, sadly I am laughing so much, I can't see straight.

Nice design, have you used this for any length of time? Just curious about how robust it is, I understand that compromises must be made to reduce size but it looks like to me that heavy use will have some issues, not the least of cracked/broken parts.

Nice, @Murdoch17 really impressive that you finished what you started, something I wish I could do more of myself. I see you have made many changes in the tractor, likely truer to the source material, it has been so long since I remember seeing the movie. Though there are some details in the older one I like, the front fenders are a huge improvement and turned out well but I think the other cabin roof looks a little better. I get a big kick out of seeing people stick with a moc for years and finishing, I have a green cargo plane, City, that I have been working on for 5 years now, lol, needs extensive fuselage rework but I will finish it. Anyway looks great, good luck with the brown bits and thanks.

I would start with some rough design sketches with strong emphasis on future builds and or rebuilding. Do you plan on a train layout, water feature, airport, roads, what you want the overall look to be, that sort of planning will help everything to look right and not just be a pile of various LEGO sets jambed together.

Yeah probably meant to indicate how interested in mechanical stuff the person assembling the model is, as well as space, with all the planets laying around. Otherwise it would be most unconvincing, that the individual is even slightly interested in the subject matter, instead of a room full of LEGO.

Would be interested in seeing how this works, if I had a computer I would check out the demo but unfortunately can't do much with just my phone. I don't imagine it's any better than some of the stuff we have already seen but they do make some mighty big claims. I really thought by now someone would have looked into this a little deeper.

I suppose it can and will be used more and more in the future. The thing is to me anyway, half the fun is designing whatever I try to build. It's the same with electric bikes as well, what's the point half the fun is pedaling and it does away with any health benefits, kind of like going to the gym to work out and using self lifting weights. Sure AI can crank out some cool looking stuff and surely can offer some inspiration but like I said in the other thread it's like an artistic representation of a artistic representation, so it gets a little funky with what it creates.

Are they the same scale, for some reason I thought the GT was a slightly larger scale.

Speaking strictly for myself, I certainly won't be buying any more than the one I have. Just doesn't seem worth it to me, for a half dozen or so recolored new parts anyway. It would have been nice though to be able to choose which color I want, the first time.
