(I didn't see anyone post this yet) It is neither Superman or a train ... official set images were released today for 60196. It is a plane ("Arctic Supply Aircraft").

LOL! I was thinking the same.

That is what got me “hooked”. I had no Lego trains at all until I bought the Winter Village Train. After building that and finding it pretty interesting, I saw the 60052 on sale and bought one figuring if I hated it it would be no big loss. A year plus later, I am a total addict and have over 8 trains that I slowly grabbed off EBay and Bricklink. Now I am here reading this forum, waiting impatiently for the August(?) trains to come out. :)

It is hard to tell from the images, but an earlier description said the truck is an armored (bank) vehicle and the forklift is carrying a pallet of gold bars. Surely every criminal in Legotown will want to rob that train.

“Frankenstein engines” and “ugly nose pieces” aside, does seriously nobody have any problem at all with the bank robber aspect of the cargo train? At least they didn’t include a helicopter. ;)

Yes, that video (showing only the engines) is a little suspicious, but it also came quite late in this thread. If you go back many pages in this topic, there is a summary from a YouTube video by The BrickShow that discusses the entire cargo and passenger train sets (e.g., engine, cars, accessories), but only verbally described the sets, no pictures. I guess we will all know at the end of the month(?).
