Congratulations to all the winners. In my opinion this has been one of the best contests. Even those who did not win should not feel sad or disheartened and rather feel proud to have been able to find unique solutions to retain the functions of the original set while shrinking it.

I think the LA solution you had implemented earlier looked better and more realistic.

I too have this on my radar but i may not be able to complete this within the timeline for the TC25. So i might post my progress as and when i start working on it. This will definitely be an interesting build to follow.

Its not due to some protests but due to the fact based on some earlier rumors that this set had to go back to design and development once last year as the original design was considered to be too large and unstable (again as claimed in some previous rumors). And now that we have a massive crane release by the knock off brands, they will need to either send it back for redevelopment a 2nd time or slash the price. Also, the delay is only causing a lot of hype to be created around this set and I hope the final product if and when released stands up to that hype.

For some reason, I have a feeling that Lego might choose to skip this set completely or this set might again go through a redevelopment thereby delaying it once again after having seen the massive crane released by Mould King. Skipping/Canceling it is an easier option for Lego as was done with the Boeing V-22 osprey set 42113.

Great and unique alternative model. Really like the use of the parts for creating the smooth bodywork.

Sorry to sway a bit off topic. The good part is the folks in US gets the sets but I am in India and we often do not see all the sets. Not sure why Lego India often feel that some sets are not worth releasing in India. Like we haven't got many technic sets like the 42136.

@Ngoc Nguyen - I think this is a great moc. Though this is a manual model, it would be great if you could please add a video exhibiting all the functions.

This topic reminds me of all builds by @shadow_elenter. I am sure most of his builds qualify the description. Sad I haven't seen anything new from @shadow_elenter over the last few years.

@Voldemort87 This is a great moc considering this is your 1st creation. I am from India too and I know how costly Lego is in here. And on top of it most people give the kind of awkward looks at AFOLs in our country as if its a great sin to own and build Lego as an Adult. I am 38 years and recently purchased the 42131. Both my parents were gravely worried that I had lost my sanity for indulging in Lego at this age.
