  1. Mmh I can pre-order it, so either it's a country thing or it is a VIP exclusive pre-order ?
  2. Well you can pre-order it on the website
  3. Well they definitely drop very slightly, but only by about a half a stud. Mine has been up for 2 years too, and the situation did not evolve at all, so I don't think it is an issue (and it is barely noticeable). Edit : In case it wasn't clear, I mounted it on Efferman stand, so the drop I mention is for a "vertical" position.
  4. I for one love this format. I'm not sure why it would be marked 18+ for 500+ pieces and probably a relatively simple build, but aside from that marketing choice, I like the look of it, and the rumored price is a good surprise. The exposed studs don't bother me at all. Don't get me wrong I love tiles, but this is an official set and the mix between tiles and studs, especially for Boba, looks really good to me. Full disclosure, I never bought anything else than ships and vehicles until Yoda was released (a set which I also consider to be a very well designed) and I would seriously consider collecting those helmets.
  5. Yes I did install it, it was quite easy and obviously a perfect fit for the MOC. However, if you know your way around LED lighting, I think you can easily light the MOC by yourself, there is nothing exotic in the lygod lighting kit.
  6. I voted for the Gunship. As much as I love the Nebulon, I don't think they would allocate a sufficient pice count to get a good enough result. The gunship on the other side could be a great opportunity to bring in some new pieces to go even further with those hard shapes. And being close to minifig scale, it could come with lots of great figs (Asokha, Rex, even some 501st clone troopers ?). TIE Bomber... Meh. All TIEs can be really convincing in system scale, I'm not really interested in a UCS version.
  7. To my knowledge, the SB in SB00X01 is for StarBricks So not much of a clue there !
  8. Just to clarify, parts of 75179 make up for 13% of the MOC pieces. I didn't count exactly how many parts of 75179 were used, but it is definitely way more than 13%, and the printed parts alone make it worth it ! For the order details, I will try to find the time to collect it, but no promises ^^
  9. I believe Cavegod said you could use whatever bricks you got, doesn't really matter
  10. For recent UCS sets, consider printed bricks (https://www.steindrucker.com/lego-set-buendel for exemple). I've replaced all stickers with printed bricks on my UCS Falcon, UCS Snowspeeder and my UCS Slave I (for this one, the windshield is not available in printed form, but I left the sticker off) and I am quite happy with the result.
  11. Instructions are now available on Rebrickable for $10 : https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-32551 160 pages, hope you will like it :) Here is a quick preview :
  12. Thank you everyone for the kind words ! My Bricklink orders came in, and I'm happy to report that cockpit/bridge v3 actually works with real bricks. I was really worried because the gaps looked scaringly narrow in Studio, but aside from the rail plates in front that I can afford to remove (the gap there is nowhere near as wide as I feared, the plates just don't fit), and the very front rounded plate connecting a bit loosely, the whole thing was fairly easy to put together. Here is a quick photo : I now have to refactor the Spine a bit to attach this new cockpit, and that should be the final version of the MOC. Then I will get going on the instructions
  13. Thank you both ! Yes I am working on instructions, but there are a few things I wanted to improve before releasing it. The most important one was the cone head/cockpit : it is quite hard to assemble and is not even possible according to LDD/Stud.io in its current version. With real bricks It's actually doable (hence the photos), but I still felt like it could be done in a better way. At the moment I have 3 possible versions : v1 is a slight variation of the one I initially showed in my pictures, made to reduce the (small) stress some pieces were under v2 is a full rebuild, works in Stud.io, still needs to be tested with real bricks. It is overall smoother, the base is thinner and it is 1 stud longer v3 is similar to v2 but with a different "tiling" Here are some side-by-side renders, which one do you think works best ? Front : Side : Fitted on the ship :
  14. I agree this part feels like a huge downer. Overall this trailer still managed to get me hyped somehow, and the 3PO scene actually worked for me. If they manage to keep the clowny/cheesy sequences down this could turn out to be a really decent movie. The continuity throughout the trilogy will forever be f*** up, but maybe it can at least get a good ending. One can hope right !
