Trooper Down on Scarif!
So, I've only been at this a short while, never really tried my hand at MOCs but I did have a play about with a bunch of tiles in my bits box (and some foliage from the Scarif set) to make this wee scene. Had a lot of fun building it and I'm quite keen to order a bunch of parts to make it bigger and better. Be gentle. And a slight variant with more ferns and no tree. How did you come out of your Dark Ages?
I am, (was?) primarily a Transformers collector (official and otherwise) but a while ago I was keen to get some Lego sets just for some funsies and maybe look into collecting the Star Wars Black Series figures. Well, it didn't take a genius how to best combine those two directions into collecting Star Wars Lego. It started off as Rey's Speeder for Christmas after seeing TFA. I was keen to keep the nostalgia flow from seeing the movie alive and a SW themed Lego kit seemed the best way to go to scratch both of those recent itches. A couple of Microfighters later and I was still just buying little kits here and there for the fun of it. Fast forward to this February and for my birthday I picked up the A-Wing set. Well that was it, I was hooked. Since then I've been gobbling up sets, just looking for that sweet sweet fix. I have noticed that due to release schedules, the first quarter of a year is often very light on Transformers and other toy robots for me and invariably my interests will wander around that time of the year, often shifting back to TFs come the end of summer. This time though, I think Lego is here to stay. I had plenty of Lego as a child (early 90s sets mostly Castles and Pirates) and I had thought to maybe pick up some Ninjago or Nexo Knights to recapture some of that childhood magic but the SW sets are doing a fine job of giving me the tactile sensation of building Lego but the pure joy of once again swooshing around a Falcon or a Tie Fighter.

Future Star Wars Minifigs
I'd love minifig packs for some more obscure releases. They could keep the battlepacks for troop building and just focus characters into the minifig packs themselves. Even if they were crafty with the character spread and which boxes they come in to require purchasing all sets to make a certain team I'd still be supportive.

Future Star Wars Sets
I'm sure I'm not on my own here but since starting to collect Lego Star Wars I've always wanted to see large, well detailed vignette scenes. Full scale (or close to it) movie moments full recreated. Examples would be Rey sitting outside her home in TFA (I've seen the fantastic MOC of this), a full scale Millenium Falcon cockpit, this could also work for things like an AT-AT. Imagine a true to scale AT-AT head which opens up to reveal a fully detailed interior? This is some top tier wish listing though so I guess I'll just need to start developing my MoC skills!

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Well, my excitement just jumped several notches. Love that the new X Wing has the droid fit in properly rather than side on like older sets. The throne room set itself looks a bit lack luster but it's all about dem minifigs for me! Hoth set looks great if a bit bare but Hoth is possibly my favourite SW environment/scene so I'm up for it! I can't really judge how good/accurate Anakin's fighter is as I'm not into prequel sets but it looks cool I guess? Would really need to hear general consensus before making any sort of judgement. Sandcrawler is definitely cool and I like seeing more affordable versions of some UCS sets. This is going to be an amazing summer!

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
Just picked up Poe's X-Wing from Argos on sale. It's a cracking build but the wings had me a bit fried after doing a very similar build four times in a row Still, even with the black and orange colour scheme, it's a great ship and has only made me more excited for the upcoming OT X-Wing! @mcphatty ah the U-Wing, definitely on my want list!

It seems Lego have been really leaning into giving us updates on OT vehicles. From the AT-ST in Rogue One, the Tie in Solo and now this X-Wing. I for one, am more than happy. As a late entry to this game the older sets are constantly going up in price so getting a new release is fantastic! Those throne room guards look AMAZING. The only problem is we'll all want a whole bunch of them!

Ahoy ahoy!
Hey-o! My name is Dorian. I'm based in Glasgow and have just recently taken the plunge into Lego. So far I'm just collecting Star Wars sets (going for a double dose of childhood nostalgia by combining Lego and Star Wars). I've been looking for a place to take part in lots of discussion and sharing and it looks like I've found the right place!
