I’m pretty happy with getting the 332nd pack since the figure from the AAT wasn’t easy to get. But after this I’m done with the 501st unless they want to do specific characters. But no more 501st battle packs

I would really love some more Phase 1 clones honestly. Obviously I would love some specific TCW P1 troops like Domino Squad, updated Rex and Cody, Waxer, Boil, updated Fox, Ponds, Stone, Bly, etc. but to be honest I would also love more plain Shiny P1 troopers. I ended up getting about five of the Command Station packs but they were just so hard to get a hold of and the feet that they included a Commander really made it hard to army build plain troops. But yeah more P1 clones all around would be great. (I love P2 clones as well and don’t want them to stop just so we’re clear). I’m really hoping we’ve only seen the top of the iceberg when it comes to clone centered lego sets

This is honestly a ridiculous take. First of all, it doesn’t look pink at all. But whites printed on darker colors are always washed out, in every theme. Like I said, while it’s not perfectly accurate, he does still look great, and nitpicking doesn’t change that. Your entire outlook seems very out of touch. You’re the latest in a long line of people that continue to try to compare a figure in a set to a CMF, which is wild. People need to realize that those budgets are entirely different. It’s apples and oranges. And Star Wars gets a ton of effort compared to other themes. Everyone else calls Star Wars Lego’s golden child and here we are acting all entitled because it’s not CMF quality.

Butchered is a very strong word. He’s not perfectly accurate but he still looks great

I agree, but I have seen a lot of people saying lego has been skimping out on detail for Star Wars figures and being lazy and blah blah blah. They can be inconsistent sometimes, but I do think overall Star Wars figures have been getting really good lately, especially compared with something like Marvel figures that seem to be consistently under detailed (CMFs obviously don’t count here). Plus thankfully star wars hasn’t started using the awful single-hole capes yet

People tend to complain about lack of detail on Star Wars figures lately. Personally I don’t think it’s an issue. The real issue is exactly what you just said. Big sets do not come with nearly enough figures! It’s really common to see a $100+ set with three or four figures. That’s honestly unacceptable. Even a $50 set like the spider tank that only comes with two minifigures (plus tiny little Grogu) is not ok.

The CMF line is definitely wishful thinking on our part, and would be extremely unlikely to ever happen. A wave of sets is more than reasonable and they would be foolish not to do it at this point. But it seems if it’s going to happen in 2024, it’ll be in 2HY otherwise we likely would have heard about it by now

Not a rumor, not really a wishlist either (although granted it is phrased like that but that’s not how I intended it), just a thought process on something that could work based on the discussion around the Tantive IV “diorama” and the recent talk about the 3PO and R2 with extra printing

I mean it’s a completely different budget. For a CMF the entire budget goes towards the figures. We definitely can’t make the claim that all Star Wars figures should get CMF quality, it’s just not realistic. Marvel figures in sets get way less treatment than the CMFs. In fact, they get very few new molds, unlike Star Wars figures

I would honestly not mind a remake of the Droid Escape Pod set. If lego played their cards right it would be a great way for people to get R2 with back printing and 3PO with arm printing in an affordable set, possibly even with a Sandtrooper

My guess is if it’s not an official diorama, it’s probably something similar to the Luke vs Dark Troopers set

I don’t think many people realize how many variations of the main characters there actually are…a plethora of beautiful outfits, it would never get boring. It’s not like the collectibility stops at one variant of a character. Lego minifigures have never worked like that. And actually, looking at Harry Potter in particular, there are many side characters included so the argument really doesn’t stand anyway. But, the whole point would be for a CMF to compliment a line of sets, not stand alone as the only LOTR thing.

Gosh that would be terrible. A mid scaled vehicle in a big location based set is one thing. But a stand-alone mid scale vehicle as a playset is just ridiculous

What are you even saying. What use would I have for more than one or two 501st specialist packs? The overwhelming majority of clone troops look the same, no specialized armor. It makes far more sense to mass an armies of regular foot soldier clones from each legion. Save the specialized clones for other sets, and put more generic clones in battle packs, with maybe one that’s different. Also, canon? There’s not much canon in the 501st specialist pack…

Minifigs for the Gunship are incredible! I’m disappointed in the Gunship itself. The scale is so weird and it’s so small and stubby. And the wing turrets look dreadful. It looks like one of those mid scale Mocs people make that still have the full scale wind screens on them making them look really messed up

I don’t think you understand the purpose of a battle pack

I disagree, identical troops make it way easier to army build and let’s be honest, the vast majority of clone troops are identical. I don’t like the recent 501st specialist pack because it’s not massable. I don’t need an army of clone specialist troops we never even see in Star Wars canon. I want massable troopers I can get a ton of

Phase 2 Shinies would be awesome. I wonder if we’ll see any Phase 1 clones again anytime soon. Kind of a shame they’ve been so scarce.

I’m surprised we didn’t get any other Kenobi or BoBF sets after the initial releases. A couple from each with some missing key characters would have been great
