Problem is, without TRU, there isn’t a retail store to carry them that’s consistent enough around the world. They might end up splitting them up or just selling them from Lego brand stores

Ive actually thought that ever since it said there were two early Vip access sets in July. Everyone keeps saying it’ll be October or December but I’ve always thought that just doesn’t seem right. I always thought it would be revealed right before comic con and then be on display there. These leaks plus the July calendar seem to indicate I was right. I think that was just the Millennium Falcon and the Death Star. Before that, it was January and May, but it’s been changing with these bigger sets

But he also has the fur collar that will definitely cover it up. The McGonagall in the Great Hall set is more worrisome to me because she has a double sided face with nothing but the pointed wizard hat piece which definitely won’t cover it up

It would be ok if they printed eyes on it or something but it doesn’t seem to be the case. I knew it was included from the preliminary images we got. It didn’t show it in the main image, but if you look at the top of the box where it shows all the minifigs, Kowaliski is holding it

It seems some Target locations have been stocking them already. I checked my local Target today but I wasn’t so lucky

I know it’s a slim chance, if any, but how great would it be if Lego decided to release all of them early? Now that (presumably) all of the system sets have been revealed

All the nanofigures that were leaked were Hogwarts students and teachers. Diagon alley makes no sense whatsoever, no idea where that rumor came from

As unfortunate as the microscale news is, let’s all take a minute to celebrate the fact that we are getting the first four sets a month early, a week and a half from now!!!

I’m hoping for some Triwizard Tournament sets

For those who still don’t know, the Hogwarts Express is on the target website as coming soon. It’s obviously a Target exclusive so I guess Lego is giving them a go with it first. They’ve done this before. The A-Wing with Lando didn’t appear in the Lego brand store until a while after it had been out as a TRU exclusive. But target is the place to find the Hogwarts Express right away! Regardless of the reasoning, that’s where you’ll find it July 1

Definitely good points. How do you know about that second wave though? Have you heard something or seen something? I haven’t heard anything past this year

It was a comment somebody made about people complaining of its system scale and people also complaining of its microscale. I may have misinterpreted as well though, so I’ll put that debate to rest with an “it doesn’t really matter what someone might have said”. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what this Hogwarts set will be. I just hope it finds a way to please everyone, if not, most people I’m still disappointed by the microscale news but I’m starting to come to terms with it. I can’t change it, after all. My fear is that Lego will cancel the theme after a couple waves like LOTR and we’ll end up still not getting a nearly full Hogwarts Castle at system scale. I was hoping this set would be that, connect to the other two, and have more add-ons later. I was hoping for a lot of minifigures and I even was really hoping for a new Fluffy, Troll, and Buckbeak. I know we’ll get a lot of creatures with the FB sets but those three are just so iconic. I hope they still happen at some point and that we continue to get system scale add-ons for Hogwarts over the next few years. This micro scale set will still be a very nice display piece and I’m even holding out hope that it’s not as micro as everybody thinks.

Nobody’s was complaining about it because it was system scale. People complained about it because it wasn’t what people wanted for the set. Personally, I thought it was fine, although a hangar would have been nice rather than just an entrance. But nobody was complaining because it was system scale.

I’ve never heard a single person complain about a system scale D2C set...ever
