You're right, it would make more sense to directly include Gandalf with his cart but I'm doubtful about a GWP including a Nazgul again. It needs to be something different and exclusive to maximize sales upon release of the set.

Which GWP could accompany the future Bag End set ? A remake of 9469 Gandalf Arrives ? But it would be weird to have Gandalf as an extra figure as I don't see how he could not already be present in the Bag End set. This is without taking into account the fact that the Gandalf minifigure should automatically be present in the June Booknook set. That's a lot of Gandalf and it's hard to see how LEGO could release a exclusive figure in each set given that he is always dressed the same.

Me too. Having missed the Hobbit sets from 2012-2014, I would love to see Thorin's company as minifigures, the characters are so unique and endearing. I'm pretty sure we will have instead a quite boring selection of figurines from LOTR...

As mentioned earlier in this thread I think the faction that will be present in the next 3 in 1 castle will be Dragon Knights because the mold already exists and this allows LEGO to make it profitable. Also the release of the dragon in the creator 3 in 1 range from January is a hint that this will be so, but I might be wrong. With all these recent faction reboots (Lions, Falcons, Forestmen, Dragon Knights, Wolfpack), we should conclude easily that the same treatment will apply to the Black Knights. It would be unforgivable otherwise. In what set and on what occasion do you think this could be done?

And why not a Dragon Knights castle ? They could put the new minifigure introduced in the 40601 and make it profitable. Also it would paired well with the green and red dragon from the new 3 in 1 set that will be released next january.

Could the ghost minifigure be reintroduced in the 31167 Haunted House ? If it is the case I hope it would be a real new one unlike the 10273 ones...

Dioramas like the ones from Star Wars line with premium prices maybe, but playsets no. Simply because there is currently no demand from the young audience. The hype aimed at children for The Hobbit trilogy is dead. The children of 2012-2014 are now adults. There would never have been LOTR playsets if the Hobbit trilogy had not seen the light of day. LEGO has today obviously so much more interest in producing large, expensive and collector sets, because potential customers are exclusively adults. I sincerely regret this and hope that there can be a renewed interest from the new generation so that we can have playsets. But in this perspective one has to generate demand. How ? Maybe thanks to future films? I doubt it because they will never have the popular impact of Jackson's trilogies. I hope I'm wrong.

Given the number of pieces currently used for the sets, I would not be surprised to see a remake of 6941 Battrax. I'm hoping for a remake of the 6954 Renegade because I love its unique asymmetrical design and also because it would paired well wth the 10497 Galaxy Explorer. But as you pointed out, it seems dubious given the "low" price and number of parts. I secretly dream of a remake of the brilliant 6981 Aerial Intruder. This would be perfect for an affordable set in the middle price range. We need more diverse and affordable classic inspired / remake sets. Please LEGO, no stickers !

I'm hesitating between the Crows and the Krakens. I would love to see a new Knight of the Crows, the one from series 20 was really successful and the color scheme works well. But I'm tempted to vote for Krakens because it's a new faction that would bring a breath of fresh air in the different Castle factions. I will go for warm gold spaceman.

We need more affordable castle sets like the good days of old. It's a luck we have 21325, 10305, 40567 and 10332 recently but it's also a pity that we only had these sets since the last full range ended in 2015. I hope we will not have to wait the 100th annversary of the brand to see the reboot of the Black Knights and their black castles !
