[MOC] Leiden restaurant [modular building]
Great built, the resemblance with the real building is stunning. Nice technique on that spire.

some questions about City train
The price for 60050 would have been between 55 and 65 USD back in the day. Going up to 100 USD now is not unusual because its no longer in production (less on the market so prices go up no matter how high or low demand is)

Where should the next People at the ____ take place?
they did have a mountain police theme about the same time as people pack outdoor adventure. If you put those together there are a few new parts like the bmx bike, mountain lion, eagle, ... Still, i think farm themed sets are more likely to pop up next year then zoo or safari sets.

Eagle in "outdoor adventure pack" 60202 is a new animal mold and only available in that unique set i believe.

Latest news about Lego animal moulds
New friends set 41378 called "dolphin rescue" seems to have 3 new molds in 1 set: a baby dolphin, a baby octopus and tiny seahorse. It also has starfish, some clams i havent seen before, a regular dolphin and a few of those new coral parts. If there is a ranking on "what set contains most animal molds" i think this one will shoot to the top out of the blue...

Are Minifigures Overrated?
TLG doesnt have to promote these differences exactly because they know websites like BrickSet.com and other AFOL-targeting sites are going to mention the small changes in minifigs in their set reviews, else it would be poor reviews ... You do know TLG is always sooooo kind to provide these websites a free copy of new sets just a week or two before the're in stores, right? So TLG is very clever not to burn their hands on promoting or advertising things that don't matter to kids, but no doubt it is big business to them (and to many of the AFOLs).

Are Minifigures Overrated?
Sound like a great opportunity to try your "guess whats in the bag" skills. The giraffe suit guy like i said is almost impossible to get wrong if you just feel the parts through the bag. Finding Rex in the same series is more of a challenge but still there are a few websites out there providing instructions on what to look for, or feel i should say

Are Minifigures Overrated?
Overrated no, overpriced yes. I bought an old used star wars set the other day because it had the right parts for a moc. Then i sold the general grievous minifig that came with it for 9 euro because its rare. Its just demand vs availability on the markets. You should try it yourself and make a profit. It doesnt have to be a negative thing. On the other hand i also missed a lot of the early CMF series, but i wouldn't spend all my money on getting those now. I just hope to see nice new series coming up in the future. That giraffe suit guy for example, i picked up a few from my local shop fast just to be sure. This time next year it might already be difficult to find and prices might start to go up fast...

PAB Cups: What Did You Get?
I've seen the white ice cream scoop part in PAB last december in the lego shop in Lille France but the rest were pretty basic parts back then. Its not impossible but this must be an excepional nice score, maybe they were just rearranging PAB that day so there was temporarily twice as much choise ... Trans clear windows, flags and fences i havent found yet but i've heard about that happening before. Baguette is a first and strikes me most.

Fairground Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Sorry i hadent noticed that yet. I just checked again and 31095 Carousel is indeed space themed. I wonder if that big ufo sign will still be part of the final product as it doesnt add much to the set. The new City 60228 space centre set will most likely contain quite a lot of rollercoaster track. By the looks of it in light bluish grey and in this set put to use as some sort of non-motorised monorail. That might be better value for money since i'm not a fan of any of the creator 3-in-1 sets so far.

The Farmer's Van
I'd buy one of these, if you reach 10000 and TLG would take it to production. If it's just all about the goat or any other farm animals it would be far better both for customers and for TLG if they would put these in the Lego Xtra production line. A small bag with a few farm animals at 4 to 5 euro per bag would sell like crazy imo.

LEGO Ideas - Steamboat Willie
Yep, that price is insane for just that number of mostly black and white pieces. On brickset.com they just point out an error on the box aswell. On the box TLG states this is the 24th ideas set but it is the 25th since the flintstones set is already out there. This could mean the early hour boxes with the printing error will be worth more to collectors then any box with a correction in that matter or is it unlikely they will fix that considering the limited number of sets ?
