table top color for sorting collection?
I am purchasing a table for sorting my collection of LEGO pieces. Can others chime in on what color might be preferred for the table top? The table I am looking at has a stained oak effect top vs a completely white top as an alternate option -- which do you recommend? Also, any thoughts on getting a table with adjustable height vs fixed height? Thanks!

help recreating Mayan Pyramid MOC
I would love to see this on the Lego Ideas platform, but perhaps too complex? Or even on MOCHUB where you upload instructions and a part list. I realize it would be a lot of work but I bet a lot of people would be willing to pay for the instructions/part list. Ask your brother if he is interested please :)

help recreating Mayan Pyramid MOC
I saw this beautiful Mayan Pyramid MOC on flickr (called "Ancient Temple" by W. Navarre) and I'd like to build one exactly like this for my own collection. Any tips on getting started, what parts I will need, etc? I have been building LEGO sets for many years but have not done much custom building, perhaps this will be too difficult without more experience? Any suggestions or tips are welcome! For example, from just the picture, is it possible to get a rough estimate of how many bricks are used? What might it cost to order all those pieces, and how difficult would it be to recreate without any instructions? 42083 - Bugatti Chiron
labevr replied to Jurss's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThanks for your suggestion! I put on the wheels and tires and was able to roll it on the ground and verify the pistons are moving, so I think it is working as intended. Whew! I was worried I was going to have to backtrack quite a bit. Thanks all for your help.

labevr replied to Jurss's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingNo matter what position the selector is in the pistons still don't move when any of the wheels are turned. Sigh. It seems there is no connection whatsoever between the wheels and the engine. Does anyone know what step in the building instructions book where they are connected? Trying to figure out where I need to backtrack to.

labevr replied to Jurss's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThanks for the response! Actually, when I move the wheels the pistons are not moving at all. When I flip the car upside down and turn the rear wheels, I can see the red/yellow crankshaft in the center turning but the 3 red gears are not moving. What do I need to do to fix this?

42083 - Bugatti Chiron
labevr replied to Jurss's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHello, I have just completed "the marriage" step at the end of box 2. Before I go on to box 3 I want to verify that I have completed every step to this point of the build correctly. How do I know if the gearbox and all other moving parts are working correctly? Does anyone have a video showing this? Thanks (p.s. I am new to Technic, this is only my second set).
