  1. Well there’s a Robin minifigure/polybag as a promotion in the coming months so they haven’t completely forgotten about DC, though we’ll just have to wait and see if they give us anything else
  2. Crazy how DC would release a trailer for all the upcoming films along with the Batman being released and then just push the films out 5-6 months a week later. Side note, anyone know if we’re still getting that book that originally teased Klarion in the description?
  3. Seems like the flash may be undergoing heavy reshoots if they’re moving it 6 months out (and Aquaman possibly having reshoots being moved 5 months) possibly having to do with the success of The Batman but DC never ceases to disappoint anything that isn’t Batman
  4. Yeah, what I’m saying is it would be 3 double packs which go for $25
  5. I would say these sets are unlikely to be DC. First off, DC hasn’t had any sets yet, so the 4+ is out, and if it does happen to be DC and the only other one we get is the $45 one that would be immensely disappointing because the 4+ set if DC is most likely some janky set with no new or interesting characters. And I would say the 3 $25 sets have no way of being DC but all are most likely another wave of Marvel Mechs. And if they are DC mechs it’s unlikely we get anything good, Probably a Batman vs Joker, Superman vs Lex Luthor (though if they had Bizarro I would actually buy it) and Wonder Woman vs Cheetah.
  6. The $210 set is supposedly the Sanctum Santorum, which only makes the Tower of Fate fakeout hurt more, cuz odds are they wouldn’t do both but if they do the Tower of Fate will likely end up being a dinky $30 set with just a Batman figure and The Joker wearing the helmet of fate.
  7. Just counted and on brickset Marvel has 18 sets for this year so far, and DC only has 5 (2 of which are poly bags so I wouldn’t really count them) so 4 if you include the art set which isn’t on there. Which means they only have 1 non movie set and 0 actual play sets from that 1. Do we have any upcoming DC sets other than The Batman and the art set that are confirmed to be DC? Like DC has more movies than Marvel does coming out this year and still they’re getting vastly less sets (which totally confirms that one Lego Designers comment about the set disparity being based on content flow to be completely false)
  8. Lego is just tryna confuse us all before they drop the 15th anniversary $10,000 lego life sized Batman and then immediately the cancel DC Superheroes line because there just isn’t a market for DC anymore as no one sold their house to buy the anniversary set. As Sam Wilson once said, Lego “you gotta do better”
  9. I have the fear that this $100, if DC, will either be another Batman vehicle I don’t care to buy or an art set or something of the like no one asked for. Wild love a House of Mystery or Mount Justice but I don’t think LEGO would show us that much love after years of mediocrity and last years painfully horrible wave(s if you can even pluralize whatever the heck they gave us)
  10. Honestly my bet is if the $500 set is a DC set, it’ll be a micro scale Gotham city with Batman, joker, robin and cat woman minifigures on a plaque. If marvel it’ll either be a micro scale see york city, an avengers tower much taller than the bugle or a quinjet akin to the millennium Falcon in scale.
  11. Seeing as Klarion is going to be in Young Justice season 4, maybe we’ll be getting some young justice tie in sets?
  12. When the next Batman wave comes along with rehashes of the same 3 villains, I don’t wanna see another Harley Quinn unless she’s got Bud and Lou. The warg molds from the hobbit would be perfect if they used those with new coloring and some coloring on the manes. If we’re gonna get another Harley at least make it interesting and desirable.
  13. I’m probably in the minority here, but I’m getting quite sick of the batbike-batcar-batcave trifecta they release every year. Every year (no matter what version of batman they do) the vehicles all look relatively similar (with some exceptions) and the bat cave almost always looks the same with some modifications (a center station with two branching off) and I get that it’s easy to sell a bike and a car, and though the bat cave looks relatively different (if only for the train station influence) the set seems like it’s lacking the piece count for such a high price. I get that with movie sets there’s only so much you can do when all you have to work with us concept art and trailer footage, but I feel like Lego has gotten lazy and all of their sets are just copy paste of old sets with minimal changes (which is bound to happen when you cycle through vehicles) but I’m really hoping that the other movies that come out next year (flash, Aquaman, black Adam) can all deliver location based sets or just something that feels new. I feel like the other movies might each only get one set (which is probably going to be more vehicular sets cuz theyre easy and can be lower priced) and Batman always gets the bigger attention cuz Batman sells but I haven’t bought a DC set in probably 3-4 years because nothing has really been worth getting besides a couple new figures here or there. Really hoping that these sets aren’t the best we get cuz honestly that would be pretty disappointing imo.
  14. So long as the upcoming movies are pg-13 or lower, we have a good chance of the dc line getting bigger. I’d say a lot of it depends on The Batman’s success to keep the DC line afloat (at least as they are doing now where it’s Batman centric) cuz if that movie does poorly then oof. Then it’s up to movies like the flash and Black Adam with more diverse characters to do well enough and have enough cool stuff for lego to use to make kids want sets with those characters. Honestly I just want Black Adam and Doctor Fate minifigs so I’m hoping the Black Adam movie can deliver some good sets and not just a generic comic set with Batman and Black Adam, as I fear we would only get Black Adam and nothing in the set itself would be new or unique (just generic bat vehicles). So here’s to a better, less Batman centric (except for movie sets) 2022
  15. Honestly, the shift to Batman oriented sets is predictable yet unappealing, but I wish they would at least make one DC set each year without Batman and just make a really well made $30-$60 set. Like just ONE set, not even worrying about a wave. The best strategy imo, is to make a location Batman fans would really want but just not put Batman in there. Like here’s Wayne tower or GCPD and a bunch of characters you’ve never gotten before that aren’t Batman related but if you buy this set then you can put the Batman characters from our other 10 sets this year (which are the same characters as the last 10 years) in this set. Solid strategy I think to please everyone.
