  1. Any idea how to get part 79987 in Studio? Nevermind found the solution: https://github.com/Cheenzo/StudioParts
  2. You'd think they would have sorted it by now especially if they are going to start releasing other sets with the same colour.
  3. anyone have any recent updates on the colour matching issue in newer sets?
  4. Yeah I hear ya. As a fellow Aussie its a bit annoying that we always get screwed on prices and the value of the dollar but that's a whole other discussion.
  5. price increases are most likely due to licensing. The Ferrari Tax would be quite large and all the other sponsors on there would probably get some money too.
  6. This looks great!! Will probably try it out once I've built the official model
  7. aussie_huddo replied to BillyG's post in a topic in Pirate MOCs
very nice, lots of detailing especially on the rear blue and gold section. Which set had the cannons in it? Would be great to see some sails and minifigs on board to get the full effect
  8. @Tirolian those pictures are far too small to see any detail. Try uploading to an external site like imgur and linking to them
  9. Thanks so much!! Will be sure to credit you if anything comes of my plans
  10. @Ashi Valkoinen Great MOCs!! Any chance I could get a digital model of your updated urbos 3 shown above?
  11. Very nice MOC. One reason these sets never get made official or at a large scale is the repetitive nature of the building process and design. What do the internals look like? Is it solid or just a digital exterior? Edit: nvm I looked at the flickr link, very nice. Look forward to more skyscrapers at this scale in the future
  12. @Moseman to answer your questions: 1) you need to purchase one full 42100 set. 2) See my post on page 11 (11 feb) for the amendments to the parts list you need to make. Then purchase these parts from bricklink or however else you want. 3) I have not yet built the mod but you do not need any sbrick or buwizz to control, only the control+ hubs and motors that come with the original set. You do need a different app on your phone like BrickController2 to control the custom layout, but i have not yet reached this point so maybe someone else can assist with setting it up when you get there.
  13. @efferman according to bricklink the set has 8 x 10.4cm hose, 8 x 13.6cm hose and 8 x 16.8cm hose. assuming we can just use the 16.8 to go from connection to bucket actuators and boom to main actuator and not buy any extra?
  14. Are these standard sizes similar to the ones in the set or will we need to cut to size?
  15. These look great and you have done well with standard technic beams and liftarms. I only wish the technic fenders and panels were available in more colors so we can make even better looking cars of this size
  16. @efferman, first off I love your work. I have been looking at the parts lists for the backhoe version and the face cut mod, noting that there has been some discussion of duplicate pieces when comparing with the original set. Below is my summary of what I found, please note this is not a criticism of your work I'm just trying to make it easier for others to order the correct parts. All part numbers and names are from rebrickable. Backhoe Mod Technic Link Tread with Two Pin Holes (Dark Bluish Gray): 104 x part 57518 from your mod same as updated part 88323 (104 pieces included in original) - SWAP Technic Axle 5.5 with Stop (Dark Bluish Gray): 13 x part 32209 from your mod same as updated part 59426 (13 pieces included in original) - SWAP Technic Gear 20 Tooth Double Bevel with Axle Hole (Tan): 7 x part 32269 from your mod same as updated part 18575 (11 pieces included in original) - 4 LEFT OVER Technic Gear 24 Tooth (Dark Bluish Gray): 6x part 3648b from your mod same as updated part 24505 (4x included in original) - 2 EXTRA REQUIRED This brings the total extra parts need for the backhoe mod down from 606 to 478. So when ordering from bricklink just delete the first three lots of parts and change quantity of part 3648 from 6 to 2. Modified Face shovel boom Part No. 60483 - Technic Beam 1 x 2 Thick with Pin Hole and Axle Hole does not exist in Blue as listed in this parts list. Can easily be replaced by any other colour as this is a hidden element in the final build. I think most of the errors came from when you digitally built the model and used parts which have now been slightly updated but look almost identical. I hope this helps someone and let me know if you find anything I have missed, particularly those who have built the mods.
  17. Was on FB marketplace for $630 and got it down from there. The cheapest retail place for any Lego I've found is I'm Rick James Bricks. They have it at $650.
  18. Just bought 42100 yesterday for AU$580. Fair bit of savings off the AU$750 on the Lego site.
  19. I don't doubt that it will continue on, its just the variety of the sets. It is very batman heavy and understandably so. It could tap more into popularity of Wonder Woman and Joker for girls and AFOL audiences. When the wonder woman movie came out there was only 1 or 2 sets related to it. As mentioned above official sets of busts of characters would be cool as a display piece. They could do one each year starting with batman, then joker, Wonder woman, superman, etc.
  20. Are there details or instructions/model for the dump truck in this pic?
  21. The rear lights of the aventador also have this shape
  22. Cool microscale. The Caterham is one of my favourite sets!!
  23. Would like to buy the stickers but am a new member so cant send pm.
