  1. Nice video, but I don't get why the bar need the thin 2L liftarms...?
  2. The reviewer just speculates, but in the comments a user name @andynbg seems to be pretty sure about it ;-) Original text: "Der Volvo ist ein Lkw mit Tieflader und auf dem ist der Bagger mit Pneumatik...."
  3. With the USB battery box maybe Lego will introduce the *drum roll*: Powered Up New Innovative Nimble Technical Electric Network Data Environmental Digitilization or short: PUN INTENDED
  4. Very recognisable for this scale, great job! Can you maybe show the underside? I am curious about the suspension of the rear axles :-)
  5. Same occured to me, he seems to have the info from the nuremberg toy fair. But as we heard from Effe, Lego shut it's doors to public viewers and only let in a decent amount of selected persons :D I asked the guy on youtube if he has more info on the 4x4 and the water vehicle. Let's see :-) But as the Volvo has been announced, the was the word "Cargo" mentioned, so a low loader seem quite plausible. I think for an excavator (or for any earth-moving vehicle) without electric driven motors, the pneumatic option is always faster and more playable in this mid-scale.
  6. Begone, offtopic-talk! Back to 2024 line-up: In a german youtube discussion of the models there is a comment saying the following (roughly translated via deepl): "The Volvo [42175] is a truck with a low loader and on it is the excavator with pneumatics... the Porsche [42176] is remote controlled and has a battery with a USB C connection. No, that's not a joke! And the lunar rover [42182] is really the one from the moon back then and is really relatively large. But it doesn't have an engine..."
  7. The talk was about torsion bars You mean like this? :-P @Milan Maybe we can chop out the last 10 or so posts into the "Part Discussion" thread.
  8. This thing is again packed to the max (and beyond :D)! I actually envy the speed of the pneumatic actuation you achieved with the air bottle. This was my biggest hurdle in all of the pneumatic models I've done so far. I'd wish Lego would provide us with a better pump :-/ I'd be very curious about your models, did you post them here? I always saw you as the Admin, never as the builder :D
  9. Very cool model @falconluan ! The use of bionicle teeth is brilliant to represent the grill. I actually like the first 7L liftarm more, as it looks more consistent. The slight angle comes from the 1/2 stud height different of the front and rear axle ;-)
  10. Ah ok :-) Some ideas for possible themes: - a vehicle with at least 3 axles - pneumatic, baby! - usage of a dumb battery box and 1 motor (PF or PU) - animal & wildlife
  11. The idea of such a mini-contest is really cool :-) But the 24h challenge is really hard to keep "fair", as most of us with family can hardly take a whole day off. Maybe a contest with a duration of 3 days or even a week would be better suited for a first test...? Also there could be a part limit (Polybag or 10€ Set), which will even out the time to spent for such a contest.
  12. While I am not a big fan of using that many system pieces to cover a technic model; this building style definitely sets CADA apart from Lego. The current line-up right now seems also way broader than Lego. I hope this challenges the top dog to improve :-)
  13. Returned from vacation and finally able to enter the discussion: What a brickload of cars :-/ As far as we know, only 1 (42175), maybe 2 or 3 (42174 and missing 42183) are NOT cars... I always try to defend Lego, but without at least one non-car flagship, this is gonna be a very sad technic year for guys interested in other stuff than steering, two doors and fake engine.... P.S.: @Ngoc Nguyen Maybe you can update the initial post in this thread according to the current infos? :-)
  14. That is a fantastic B-model, the technical details are astonishing! I also thought about it, or rather a Volvo AH40 as a tractor for a scraper trailer
  15. Hmm... it's the typical bashing from Thomas. All what Lego does is bad... all decisions are bad ... all other brick companies are way better.
  16. Looks really promising :-) The fender is really well build. It's so strange that in the end, tractors always seem to be rather "simple" with very few parts, but the work for putting it together is quite complex :D HOG should be mandatory for this manual machine :-P
  17. thx for clearification @1gor :) Maybe I have a go again with the AWD version of this Maschine, but would need those tractor tires that fit onto the rim of the Arocs wheels.
  18. Made some progress and everything comes together nicely (pic below). What grinds my gears is the steering, which is highlighted in yellow in the first pic. The yellow 2L connector above the turntable will go up to the rotating beacon onto the cabin, functioning as a steering knob. Problem is: As there are 2 directions the cabin can face, either in "drive mode" OR in "function mode", the steering is reversed (left/right). There are some solution, but not one is fully satisfying for me: 1) Just live with it, a normal mind can adapt. + easiest way - annoying in "drive mode" 2) Make a complex mechanism to reverse the direction when turning the cabin + no need for additional knobs - very hard to do in given space - possibly high slack - uses all of the cabins interior 3) Add another steering knob at the back (above the other wheel axle) + easy to implement - hard to reach, while all the mowers are in upright position 4) Add another, maybe smaller steering knob on the cabin + rather easy to implement - takes up some space Other options are highly welcomed :D
  19. @eric trax : Thx and you are right, it actually should be 1.5 studs longer if I take the rear wheels (13.4 studs diameter) for my dimension measuring. But with the front wheels (7.8 studs diameter) as reference, it is actually 2 studs too long.. I have chosen the middle way, as there isn't a real suitable wheel combination :-)
  20. This is really close to the original, great job! First I thought the front was too bulky, but it fits the original look!
  21. I think it will be a new bucket, as the one from the 42121 is way too small for a 1000 piece model.
  22. With a high chance the 42172 is the supercar and the 42174 probably is an RC car, we are left with 3 non-cars with more function than drive and steer :D 42175: Highly welcomed! With a reasonable price < 200€, this will be a very early buy for me. A combo set like 8872 would be my favorite! 42177: The 18+ label suggests a car again? If it's not a car, this should be a flagship-model instead and could maybe mean a Mobile Crane or at least something with bigger wheels :-) 42182: Could be cool, but I already own the 42158, so it's a pass. What is MJ?
  23. Looks like I wasn't wrong, I was completely wrong :D
  24. In my opinion, the Liebherr was a) a test, what Lego buyers want to spend b) expensive due to the long development time or a combination of both. Hmm could 7 motors and 2 battery boxes are fitted inside? Even with 107 tires, I highly would doubt this....
