Technic 2020 Set Discussion
Jundis replied to dimaks13's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI would think the "dumb hub" is easier to integrate into the engine compartment because its only 4 studs wide and not 6/8 studs as the "smart hub". Also: TLG knows that this already exists, right?^^

Technic 2020 Set Discussion
Jundis replied to dimaks13's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThat's quite possible, like they did with the Defender which showed up without any previous teases. Even if TLG already partnered up with Harley Davidson and BMW, I would not doubt that they will cooperate with another global player.

Technic General Discussion
I mean there have been good B-models in recent years (Mack Anthem, Tracked Loader, Car Transporter) and bad B-models (RTC, Crawler Crane). And I can also understand that it's harder to do a B-Model on a big licensed model because to get the shape right, you need certain panels which may be complete obsolete on a B-model. What I really can't understand is that with both the 42109 and especially the 42108 there aren't any. Thats just poor time management or laziness. I see many C-models (or are they called B-models in that instance?) are coming for both of em.

[PRESS RELEASE] 42109 - Top Gear Rally Car
About the diff: You can see a LBG axle (5L maybe) on the left side and a black axle on the right side, sticking out a little more. So this is definitely off center. If it were like 80€, this would actually be a great starter set, but 130€? Really?

[App] [iOS, Android] Controlz
Jundis replied to _Ozzee_'s post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHi Ozzee, I really like the simplicity of your app :-) Is the servo mode already enabled? I just see a slider in the options for the vertical controls "Servo Angle". But it doesn't seem to work, as the motor runs continuisly in one direction with no calibration possible...?

[MOC] Self-loading concrete truck - finished MOC
Jundis replied to jotta93's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI like it very much! The 3 oops's made my day :D A suggestion for the loading with the small bucket: Maybe implement a little mechanism that the bucket can tip when arriving the highest point, therefor only dropping the load there. Easier said than done of course. Also you can close the gaps of the drum by adding these slopes to the pinholes on the end of the azure panels?

Technic 2020 Set Discussion
Jundis replied to dimaks13's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHmm the 42009 has 2600 pieces with the 62.4 x 20 tires. But this thing has 5 axles, so maybe with only 3 axles, it could be possible, but I actually doubt it.

Technic 2020 Set Discussion
Jundis replied to dimaks13's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling@kolbjha that is most plausible solution Maybe in the same scale as the Mack Anthem and the Car Transporter (Tire 49.5 x 20)...?

42094 model C - High Speed Dozer
Jundis replied to M_longer's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingMy good, this looks so good! It's a pity, the A-model only has one linear actuator. Also 770 out of 827 parts is a really impressive usage :-) Master of C-Models :-D

Technic 2020 Set Discussion
Jundis replied to dimaks13's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI just checked for updates of the line-up: On the News from StoneWars from the 3rd of October, it is said the following for the 42109 Top Gear Rally Car (translated with DeepL): The question now remains: Is it really a Lancia Delta? The mentioned colour combo white + red + blue matches though, even if i didn't find one particular with a red spoiler.

Technic 2020 Set Discussion
Jundis replied to dimaks13's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHmm with 463 parts...? Expecting somewhat the size of the 42093, a steering+diff in the front axle (11 studs between wheels) should be no problem. But knowing TLG, my guess would be a 2WD playable car: The control+ hub will be installed in the cabin, one motor for steering in the front, one motor for driving in the back. Maybe small fenders in white, if they go with the Rally version. I doubt the possibility to include a suspension of any kind...

Technic 2020 Set Discussion
Jundis replied to dimaks13's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingTrue, same thing goes for the 42111 F&F car if it is "just" a new Toyota Supra.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT POSTING BEHAVIOR
Agreed. Maybe Jim can create a new thread for gathering "Ideas & unfinished MOCs" or something like that which is listed in the head/hot-topics (along with Hall Of Fame, 2020 Set Discussion, and so on)? This would actually be more pleasant to read. :-)
