MOC: Brick Walk
@Lepralego Brick Walk is SUPERB!!! I live in London and you’ve accurately represented many houses here. I’d love to build a street of these in my city. Would you consider doing instructions for them if you haven’t done so already? I’d try and work a staircase into them and out backs on them but honestly, this is a wonderful set! Well done!

[PRESS RELEASE] 21318 LEGO® Ideas Tree House
I think this looks like a great set and I will definitely be buying this in the future to add to my lego Ideas display case! I appreciate the hard work that has gone into the set but I think to make it better, and to further sales, they could have tried to make some sort of alternate build which is also a treehouse but in a different style. I think fans would have liked to have an excuse to buy two of these. (Although it may defeat the 'lego ideas' point where it is a fan's submission). Maybe it's a bit of a stretch but nevertheless, this set looks awesome. I also agree with a lot of people here that say they should have included a few more animals.

I'm a big fan of your XL picture LegoSjaak and I think you've highlighted an important issue with this modular and I'll include the diner in this as well. Originally modulars were created so there could be enlarged and made more grand. Great examples of this is CC,GE,TH and most other modulars you are able to be expanded in some shape or form. The CG and the diner (though I have seen the diner as a back to back expansion) are not very expandable in my opinion. However, this could just be my lack of imagination haha. I personally don't expand my modulars so this might sound a little hypercritical, but I like having the option to expand the GE for example. Maybe this is a different route in modulars...

Bricklinking Modular Buildings
I'm OCD about having buildings in there own right and not "cheating" lol. My wallet doesn't like it though! I don't mind omitting the furniture, I'll go in and furnish it myself later. I just think it's best if I bulk buy the parts for 4 Townhouses rather than buy them individually on a secondhand market. Thanks J

Bricklinking Modular Buildings
Hi guys, I am currently building a lego city and I want a street full of the PetShop Townhouses. I have 4 but that's due to buying 3 pet shops second hand and leaving or dismantling the actual pet shop building. I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but is there a file with the pieces just for the TownHouse side of the PetShop. Thanks J

Interesting that you don't like the tree. I'm not against the tree but I feel I will definitely move it when it's in my layout. goes right against the lamppost of the diner if you connect them together. I completely agree with you on your first issue. The gaps don't bother me too much, it's just the grey colour that doesn't look appealing. After having a few days looking at it, the modular has definitely grown on me. I'd be really interested to see if anyone get two and outs them next to each other in a way that ncx showed earlier but over 2 baseplates.

Interesting you say this. I would have to disagree with you though. -I think the GE's exterior is fantastic. It nails a classic central London shopping centre (and maybe other European cities too) and due to it being one of the early modulars, I can forgive its interior. -The PC also had a good exterior however for it's era, the interior left one wanting more I feel. Something was missing but I can't quite put my finger on it but I thought it was a great set personally. Someone earlier mentioned that it was the modular that most people had on Brickset. This might be due to many keen AFOLs expanding it. This leads me on to the BB. I think TLG thought consumers were bored of just having a single purpose building, especially because they released a modular only once a year, so a multipurpose building would satisfy more customers. Finally the CG. A really different build to all of the rest. As I've said before, I just need to figure how it would work with the pavement going round it and it should be fine. A "solid" build as someone has already described it as. Not every building in a city is a show stopper and this is one of those "solid" builds. J

10264 Corner Garage
As a few people have said now, after sleeping on it, I too have started to warm to it. Especially looking at videos of it and better pictures. Seeing the pink car from DD fit in was a surprise to me and has made me respect the set a lot more for some reason. I love the dark green and dark red representing old school octan! I really want to see this alongside a couple of road plates now. I'm trying to figure out how the pavements will work. In conclusion, the CG has a lot of character. No particular WOW factor but a quirkiness and just a regular building to add to the modular series. It won't turn the most heads but in a city layout, I believe it will be a must have. Retro and a useful building for minifigs. J

Hmmm... I'm still undecided to whether I like it or not. I like the colour scheme. I think the dark orange and sand blue work really well together. I would have preferred just a garage rather than a petrol station hybrid garage. It means I'm either going to have 2 petrol stations in my city or will have to get rid of my old octan station. This will probably be a building I will put on the periphery of my city. As with most of the modulars, I think I'll like it way more once I've built it! J

Motorbike mechanic is an interesting idea, but unless they brick built motorbikes, I don't they would do that. If this is indeed a Mechanics Garage, I think they could make a really cool corner building out of it. Have the car coming out a wall on the corner of the first floor, like the designer did for last years...
