Interim result better than expected !!
Well with the bulldozer and PF in general i really think technic will be much more successful in the coming years. :'-) *wub* My higher paychecks will definitely help boost sales as well. X-D

Me too, then again we do have the option to say where we are from, even though many members fill in other places like vader for example does.

What are your biggest Lego dissapointments?
This thread is about disappointments not mistakes, hence why i did mention bionicle. It hasn't disappointed me since i don't own any sets but i still don't like it due to the many specialized pieces. Speaking of that, can anyone tell me what this piece is doing in set 8421. It looks so misplaced there.

What are your biggest Lego dissapointments?
No military hmm. |-/ I agree that a normal military theme would be nice, especially if it has working cannons. If so i want a powerful weapon, not like these lame competition shooters. I can't say anything for the other guns available since i don't own any. The greatest mistakes would clearly be bley. X-O >:-( *n* *sing* WTF where they thinking. Not only am i gonna have to add another color when i change my sorting system (i've put it of long enough), whenever i build a model the pieces in the instructions look black so i spend many minutes looking for black parts. :'-( This happened several times while building the ferris wheel. The other mistake, even though it looks to becoming corrected is not putting out any good technic sets with lots of studs. My hopes for 2008 are great seeing how much potential PF has.

Whack-a-Fig Finals!
Looks like i'm very late but congrats optimus, you got my vote as well even though it happened after the poll had closed. Then again i did vote in time for the semis. :-D

I hope for the sake of the person creating this thread that one at least is allowed to ask how to get the flag even if you don't ask to get a flag. :-P That did not sound as good as i wanted but i hope you understand what i meant. Anyways thanks for the answers since i also wondered about that.

[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
EyesOnly replied to Ickelpete's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingMy thought was that the axle would slip loose but i too check carefully while building so i rarely make mistakes and the ones i do are found and corrected before i finish.

[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
EyesOnly replied to Ickelpete's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHave anyone here had the problems that this page describes. Apparently one should push the axle all the way in and not doing that causes both the ripper and the dozer blade to malfunction though i'm not sure why. What happens if the axle is inserted the wrong way? Does it come loose?

[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
EyesOnly replied to Ickelpete's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHow did you build the second model since i still don't see any instructions for it (come on TLG)? As for snow i would have to wait a few months for that and as Crazydance said it'll prolly work as long as you cover up the motors and wires. AND WHERE ARE THE CONVERTER CABLES? >:-( *sing*

[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
EyesOnly replied to Ickelpete's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI get a complaint about plugin in firefox. Then again i'm on Linux. Interesting enough, when i tried konqueror it wanted to download the file instead. *wacko* Nice vid. I tried running my on top of a bed and that worked just fine. It couldn't get up onto the bedcovers nor could it push my pillows. Funny though that trying something like that you would expect a crunching sound coming from the gears but the only thing that happened was that the tracks slipped on the sheet. How's that for strength. Will try pushing something like a chair later. BTW i tried "combing" the sheet using the ripper and it really worked but not that good. I'll try this outside some time. When driving on top of the folded bed cover it really got tested and needed both motors for turning but it worked, of course with the blade and ripper lifted. These motors are incredibly powerful. As has been shown before the ripper motor is powerful enough to lift the rear of the bulldozer. X-O

LEGO Creator ferris wheel
My 3d-glasses don't work correctly, or is it my eyes. :'-( Anyways i like this set even though it is just for display. For parts it's useless but it makes an impressive sight on top of a shelkf. Unfortunately you need quit a large shelf for it to fit. My sticks out a little even though i turned it so that the wheel is pressed against the wall. I never intended to let it spin anyways. It's also a challenge to carry but i found the gripping the supports worked out just fine. The spokes don't sit that hard on the wheel axle so it is possilbe tobreak them loose if you're not careful. While it does have an PF-motor i only bought if for display. If you want PF-parts for a nice price go for the dino. The set is really cheap if you consider the amount of pieces it has but since you'll be hard pressed for any other use for them don't get this set unless you have to much money and don't know how to spend it, or just want a really nice display set. I wonder if you could rebuild the bulldozer into a ferris wheel. |-/ :-P

[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
EyesOnly replied to Ickelpete's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHmm we are several day into september yet no quick build model in sight. >:-( And no news about the dozer either. Come on TLG and wake up. I don't care about the quick build but i want those cables. *wub*

[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
EyesOnly replied to Ickelpete's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThat sounds like a great idea. Being so slow these motors would be perfect for the job. *sweet* Try to keep the XL-motors near the shoulder though, or you will get balancing problems. ;-)

LEGO Fan Lives
I think you're right but i still agree with holodoc that foxitreader is the best. So small and fast it's unbelievable. Perhaps not as many functions as some other apps but most times you just want to open a pdf.

Forbidden Lego Book
This sounds like my kind of book. X-D

LEGO Fan Lives
Nice idea. Seems like it will contain lots of info otherwise only found in forums and only if you search a lot.

The LEGO Group Purchases Moore Microprocessor Patent Portfolio License
I for one hope it's for technic and not NXT since i don't own a NXT set and don't plan to anytime soon, yet PF has a lot of potential for improvements in how it is controlled so i hope that is the intended target.

[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
EyesOnly replied to Ickelpete's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingAh so that's the correct links. Thanks for the help and you're welcome Yes if you want the instructions it sure is. My guess would be September 1 since that's the official launch date. I just spent most of this day building this thing. *wacko* It sure is large and complicated. The XL-motors are incredibly strong. I mean they are geared down from a 20T to a 12T gear that's all. All other gears are just for transfer not changing anything. 8-

[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
EyesOnly replied to Ickelpete's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingYou can find instructions from LEGO via brickley's with their help, but i'm not sure how. Here is the page where instruction for the dozer should be be at time of writing it's empty. You should be able to query the database using those numbers. There an example that reads: http://www.br-eng.info/words/index.php/sea...ns_code=4187320. That one leads to the UCS ISD. Change the code at the end for the numbers i gave and it should give the instructions but it doesn't for me. Just tried all 3 codes. :-/

[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
EyesOnly replied to Ickelpete's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingOk then for all you who have wanted the instruction numbers here they come: Book 1: 4515178 Book 2: 4515179 Book 3: 4520319 And a very big BOO to all you who owned the model and didn't give out these numbers. >:-) I've just gotten home for work and have quite a lot to do. I have decided to do a comparison at the 2 technic bulldozers there are: 8275 and the far older 856. I'm right now building 856 based on instructions from PICSL since i don't own the original model. I don't have some parts at all so i'll have to improvise and other parts will be black since i don't have any yellow ones. |-/ I started this morning and after i'm done i'll build the ferris wheel. Then i'll build the bulldozer even though i don't quit know where to put it. Oh well. :-P X-D

[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
EyesOnly replied to Ickelpete's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI couldn't hold myself any longer so yesterday i placed an order for the bulldozer. :-P While i don't have any place to put it just yet, :-/ i will look up the numbers on the books so that others can download the instructions ;-) , unless brickleys has been updated by then. I also ordered the ferris wheel so after building it i'll make a thread and comment it. I don't have time for an review.

8146 Nitro Muscle
EyesOnly replied to Shine's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI only looked it up because it sounded interesting but when i saw it i felt like i could pass on it. I haven't thought of it before and hence not looked in stores here in sweden. I rarely go to the toystore and last time i did i went there looking for something a lot more expensive than a car. :'-)
