EyesOnly replied to dr_spock's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHere you go. Slight problem however. The page says that the listing has ended and that the item can't be ordered but several alternatives are suggested. Purple, Pink and green. Maybe more exist but these was the suggestions i got that was 14 mm. Edit again Looks like i shouldn't use old link when i link for when i pressed on view original listing i found a page where the orange ones can still be ordered. Try it i hope it works.

GBC: Lego balls vs Chinese beads
EyesOnly replied to dr_spock's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingSo 200 beads for the same cost as 16 Lego balls. That is some difference.

[GBC] Jumper Module
EyesOnly replied to Yiharua's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingNice module. That is also similar to an idea i have. Mine would have a different catching mechanism and also the launch would have been similar. I haven't built anything so i don't know if it would work. Either way i imagine that is must have been hard to make it all work.

US Truck T2 MkII with instructions (US Truck T2 revised)
EyesOnly replied to 2LegoOrNot2Lego...'s post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingWell regarding model team i only have one model from it (5510) and i like the look. But while i still collected stuff during that time i stuck to technic because i didn't really like sets that didn't have any functions to them, just looks. Well not functions in the same way as technic at least. Recent mocs prove that both are most certainly possible. To bad crossovers didn't happen at the time from official sets, i have no idea what mocs where around at the time. Creator seems like it kinda does this at times though.

US Truck T2 MkII with instructions (US Truck T2 revised)
EyesOnly replied to 2LegoOrNot2Lego...'s post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingWow that is simply stunning. I'm really loving this model team approach. I've seen several mocs now and they all look nice. Official model team sets looks good as well but combining that building style with technic parts makes it so much better.

GBC - Balls and sets where to start?
EyesOnly replied to DS613's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingYes but as i said my run on rechargeable batteries that put out 7.2 volts while the one in the video most likely runs on 9V. Hence the difference in speed. Hopefully i'll finish my sorting system by tomorrow and then i will make sure to put a phone there and test the app, and should i see a problem i will change it back.

GBC - Balls and sets where to start?
EyesOnly replied to DS613's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingBut it seemed to be much slower than what i saw in the video hence why i changed the gearing. I'll test it when i have the time.

GBC - Balls and sets where to start?
EyesOnly replied to DS613's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingAfter building a counter module by Legogbc i don't think that you need to do anything special to make it work for these beads. The only thing i have done is to put the 20T gear on the motor axle instead of the 8T gear to speed it up since i use rechargeable batteries and i thought it was a bit slow. That is the point of these beads, they work just as well as official balls. At least for testing. At an event maybe only official balls should be used, but i have never been to one and don't know when i will so i'll worry about that when the time comes.

Is my RCX useless now
EyesOnly replied to EyesOnly's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingUnfortunately i can't afford it at the moment and seeing how extremely little i have used it lately i think it would be better to simply forget about it. Yeah the though that despite all of this i still haven't programmed anything, let alone tried to run it is worrying. Hopefully nothing out of the ordinary will happen when i get to that stage.

GBC Android Counter V1.5 - App,LDD & Tutorial
EyesOnly replied to LegoGBC's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingOK problem solved. I had another look at the file and it turned out that i had put the 15L beam connecting the counter and the top gear with 2 holes between it and the top axle instead of 1 as was correct. The made the shakes smaller and only occasionally does it tough the counter slightly but nowhere near as much as a ball does. I did notice however that the counter seemed to stick to its top position after a ball had touched it. Removing the outer axle with the counter and leaving the center showed that is was not aligned with the opposite beam. This caused friction leaving the counter in up position. I solved that by putting a 11L beam opposite the 15L one and then connecting it to the gear holding beam with 5 5 beam connected using 2 friction pins. Now it works. I'll work some more on it and test the app when i have sorted out my new sorting system.

Is my RCX useless now
EyesOnly replied to EyesOnly's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingOK the store was really fast to respond with a mail saying that if that was the case then they would send a new one and included an address asking if it was accurate. It was so i told them that and got another mail saying that a new one is sent. Hopefully it will work this time.

Is my RCX useless now
EyesOnly replied to EyesOnly's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingOK i now have a problem. The order was sent 2 weeks ago on the 19th but still hasn't arrived. This is wrong since envelope should not take that long. Unfortunately packages sent by envelope does not have tracking. I thought about contacting the store but at the time their customer service was closed for the weekend. Now i feel that there is no point. It has left them so they can't really do anything. I could contact the swedish postal service but with nothing more than a order number i don't think they can do much either. So for now i'm just gonna wait and hope that it simply has taken a detour somewhere and will soon turn up. I really hate not thinking about this when i ordered 9398 a few weeks ago. Not only does Conrad have a really cheap adapter but they also only needed 5 days to send it too me. Sure that was schenker i think not the postal service but still. When i ordered vitamin D from another store i got that envelope the day after and i made the order after lunch so mail can be really fast when it wants to. BTW the box that held the 9398 box could easily have had 2 in it so it was really big. Something i noticed all to well bringing it on a bus. If only i had a car.

GBC Android Counter V1.5 - App,LDD & Tutorial
EyesOnly replied to LegoGBC's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingNope that is not the problem. I removed the hopper and the problem still exist. I have noticed that the chain seems to stick slightly to lower side of the upper gear before dropping down. This causes a vibration in the chain that makes it jump up and down. I've tried replacing the links again even the entire chain. That worked but i don't know why. Could the pins be interfering with the gear somehow. The new chain didn't have any pins in it.

GBC Android Counter V1.5 - App,LDD & Tutorial
EyesOnly replied to LegoGBC's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingOk i'm finished now but i have a problem. I've build everything except the phone-holder since it would use too many 2x4 bricks so i'll need to get creative on that one. Anyway something seems to catch links in the chain causing it to jump. This has the effect that the chain sinks causing the pin to not touch the ball. I've tried switching out 2 links that i thought were the problem but that didn't help. The links that fail seem to be the ones with pins on them. Or maybe that's not the problem at all. Any ideas would be welcome. It can't be the wheel since it can spin several times before it happens. Well this is officially the first GBC module i have built. Now despite the problems i'm starting to see what all the fuzz is about.

GBC Android Counter V1.5 - App,LDD & Tutorial
EyesOnly replied to LegoGBC's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThank you for this. And here is the ultimate proof that official GBC modules could easily be made. Just look at that low piece count. OK so some base plate would be needed but those are in lots of sets and they don't need to be as big as the one in the video. BTW i just noticed that the model in the LDD is according to standard while the video show a standard breaking one that feeds itself. I'm feeling really tempted to build this one since it would be a faster build than what i have planned. Unfortunately i can't record a video since the only decent camera i have is in my cellphone. Now to find a baseplate large enough.

Review - 41999 4x4 Crawler Exclusive Edition
EyesOnly replied to rm8's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingWell you could get a 9398 or see if you have the pieces and then collect the extra pieces to make the Boss. Even with the wrong colors it can still be built.

How about more 'Realistic' Technic Models?
EyesOnly replied to DrJB's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThe former. Although i don't think we will get a new back-hoe anytime soon longer pneumatics would be really nice. That is probably one of the reasons people use LA:s instead. The other is remote control but that to can be changed.
