I agree, although I’d probably prefer three separate buildings (3, or even 4 storeys) with separate businesses. Something fun, different....... and expensive... Perhaps we can cross our fingers for the 15th anniversary...? I’d say the issue is that the more businesses per set, the less TLG have to choose from in the future. IMO Assembly Square had too many businesses - the ones in the blue building had hardly any detail - for example, I’d rather have a far more detailed music shop in a future set. So the addition of a townhouse makes sense in that it saves ideas for later - plus, I rather like it! :)

Most modulars can be picked up at a cheaper price at some point over their lifetime, but once they've been discontinued they tend to become *very* expensive. I'd assume that what @peedeejay is suggesting is that they'll wait until it's available at a discounted price (e.g. black Friday etc.) to buy two.
  3. So, guess we’ll have to wait till 2021 for that police station then...

Nope, me too!! I agree, it looks fantastic in the designer video! I’d buy two, but my wallet probably wouldn’t be in favour. I’ll probably get just the one and maybe wait for a sale to get a second (or maybe BL it). At least they haven’t left them completely open! (I’m looking at you, assembly square )

Tell me about it, I recently bricklinked CC, and as much as I love it, it’s hard to put it next to some of the later modulars.

Ahem, @Maple, looks like an unfortunate typo!!!
  7. But BB is Brick Bank. Then again, B on its own doesn’t really make sense, and well, BS needs no explanation

Love the exterior, and I’m thankful for the return of the European style. The Amsterdam canal style of the bookshop itself is fantastic and the tree also looks great. I’m not so keen on the back - those green windows seem a bit off. Also in my opinion the green carpet should’ve been Earth green. Think I’ll also add another floor to the townhouse, it feels a bit squat. Other than that, I love it! One other thing though, it appears to be called just ‘Bookshop’ - what happened to two part names? And we can’t really call it BS!
  9. How about a 48x32 with a separatable normal building on the first 16 studs, a small playground / park on the next 16, and then a smaller 1 or 2 storey building on the corner? Or a corner made up of two 16x32 buildings?
  10. So if too much bananarite causes mutated bananas, will there be mutated coconuts as well?
  11. Ah, sorry, I just assumed it was ‘on’ backwards! It makes sense now! By the way, your Flickr is excellent; you’ve got such a variety of trains!

I've taken a look on BL for you. It looks to include both 30036 and 3479, so, according to Bricklink, what you have here must have parts from either Explorien Starship or Planetary Decoder. But, as @Hold0511 said above, this is definitely a combination of multiple sets. Some of the parts in there don't appear to be from any of the three sets, so it's probably just a MOC built from random parts in somebody's collection.
  13. Great MOD! I always love retro versions of newer sets, and this is no exception!
  14. Very nice build @Sérgio! Thank You! I don't know what is IRL :( I was going to ask the same question as @raised - it means "In Real Life". I too would love to see this in real bricks! By the way, I think you've made a small typo!
  15. Very nicely detailed; looks sturdy too! A very nice tribute to all those involved in D-day
