  1. Regarding on-topic, I use this table, helps me immensely: https://www.ldraw.org/article/547
  2. There are tools that you can get to streamline the PAB process. But yes, BL is mostly where I shop for OOS parts.
  3. It is absolutely gorgeous! Cannot thank you enough for sharing the instructions, although I cannot find the availability to buy parts/build the model in the next 10 years. :)
  4. I envy you guys. I really do wish to have the time for tinkering with LEGO, but I don't. Good job @frazampo
  5. Oh NOW I understand this release out-of-the-blue. 3rd-parties are driving the innovation and the 3 billion revenue company just follow them, right? ;)
  6. Crocodile 10277: 1271 parts, 100€ MSRP Orient Express: 2540 parts, 300€?!?
  7. I just finished building the treehouse, and the only missing piece appeared on the first bag! Instead of a LBG "4x4 modified plate" (64799), they put a DBG "4x4 corner" (2639). Since i'm been busy and I had bunch of stock of the missing part from a previous B&P order for some of my trains that my kids lost, I haven't bothered to mail them. I may not even do that, now that I read about your experience!
  8. Exactly my words, and also similar to my unpopular opinion: LEGO should bring back inlays with flaps in some collector sets and you'll see them flying off the shelves (or LEGO's warehouses) :)
  9. As others, it's a purchase but only if it can be motorised. Thankfully HE wasn't, saved me a lot of €€€
  10. I don't really care about IP but I'm a sucker for everything medieval! Hang onto your wallets!
  11. Not in Europe. For two weeks now, " Standard Pick a Brick parts" is unavailable.
  12. My younger self would love to stare at it in the 1983 the catalog. It's the Spin-A-Coaster. Unfortunately I only came out of the Dark Ages after my kids were born so I never got the "excuse" to buy this for my collection. Oh well https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=2037-1
  13. Who would have thought the bush would take 30 years to arrive in brown :D
  14. Wake me up when they re-open standard.
  15. Yes, no worries whatsoever I know how hard it can be to find time/motivation after a certain age ;))) The lxf files would certainly be the most important "treasure" you could find, as from there and archive.org the albums could be recreated. Anyway I dig a bit more and I've managed to find a copy of (at least) 5 MOC's from you :) Here they are: https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.moc-pages.com/user_images/81350/* One is the "Merchants House", another looks like a castle adaptation of the "Imperial Trading Post", and the others I don't recognize as archive.org doesn't have that much images saved: https://web.archive.org/web/20180906010707/http://www.moc-pages.com/folder.php/142239 If you can find the files, I could help you create a BrickShelf account and sorting and uploading it there for you. I sure don't have the parts to build anything but at least I can admire the digital creations :) Thanks in advance dear @The_Cook
  16. Hello dear Mr. @The_Cook :) I'm trying to download or at least see the creation of the retro castle, but the file comes at 0 bytes :( Since MOCPages is also gone, could it be possible to reupload it, pleaseeee? :) Many thanks in advance.
  17. Maybe a minifig's torso can be spotted, but the same maybe cannot be said about other LEGO parts. This is a post I've found today on FB: https://www.facebook.com/groups/860813204716046/?multi_permalinks=1205049046959125&hoisted_section_header_type=recently_seen (you may need to ask to be accepted in the group)

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I want to add that you can also remove additional metal connectors: Also, the metal connector on the right side of the "small bit" can also be removed, VERY gently pry it off by wiggling it a bit: Hope this helps someone.

Which is a terrible idea because in the long run, they will become unavailable, as already happens with mocpages images and ldds :(
  20. Thanks for the link, did not found any castle digital model but I've found your page there. Really nice work on the railstation, looks really nice. I like the use of 4733 diagonally to host the roof of the front windows, never thought one could do it like that ! Thing is, I don't have neither the parts nor the space and certainly not the time to even attempt to build anything other than following instructions for the occasional set we offer to the kids: I mainly use these LDD files as I used the old catalogs of the 80's: an inspiration and also hoping for time and space to try and create my own mocs/dioramas :) Thank you once again.
  21. Ahah yes, thank you for your effort, the tunnels look good indeed. My rant was not directed to you (sorry), but to my late coming out. Everything was revolving around Mocpages and now with its disappearance I just cannot find any free castle and trains Mocs :) My bad then
  22. I'm a recent Dark-Age leaver and it's completely sad to see how much have I missed, even digitally. archive.org is my only hope for digitally history, but unfortunately only like 5% of the LDD's were mirrored, maybe less. Storage is very cheap now, but it still costs money. Money that could be received by ads, but I'm guessing there's also a technical limitation of attaching files to this forum. Still.. it's sad, and mostly un-reversible. It's like history, people don't learn from it.
  23. Please, I'd appreciate it too :) Many thanks
