  1. Gotta say I'm pretty excited about the Quetzalcoatlus, though I am disappointed that it can't stand quadrupedally, as we saw in the first 5 minutes clip. It also looks awfully light, I would have preferred it being tan or lbg. In the trailer, it looks like only the body is a stark white, the neck and wings seem darker. I particularly like the new smaller movie-accurate raptor design, I'm expecting to see that used in plenty of mocs as the JP and JPLW raptors, just as the LEGO Dino Coelophysis has been used as a raptor. The colors on Blue are better, but I still hold my position that it should be dark grey. The Beta figure looks cute! Not sure how many of these I'll be picking up, if any, but I think they're fun, and a good batch of sets!
  2. F9 comes out at the end of May, and this catalog goes until March, so I guess that theory could still hold, but it's pushing it awfully close. The other themes with new sets coming out in May have little bubbles that say "New set/sets coming soon May 2020" and Speed Champions doesn't have a bubble like that. Man, I'm gonna miss Speed Champions if it's ending.
  3. That wasn't mentioned on any of the sites I looked at: https://www.timesnownews.com/auto/features/article/fast-and-furious-9-cars-and-bikes-dodge-charger-ford-mustang-jeep-wrangler-and-more/547724 and https://screenrant.com/fast-furious-9-movie-cars-vehicles-confirmed/ But I should be clear, I personally know next to nothing about the franchise
  4. Ooh! That is definitely a reasonable possibility. From a quick Google search of what cars will be in the upcoming film, we could expect to see a Dodge Charger 500 in black, a Noble M600 in some shade of purple. Lego doesn't have a color that could match perfectly, but Bright Purple/Dark Pink could work well. I'd definitely need to pick up at least one of those for parts. Also in the movie there will be a gray Chevrolet Chevelle SS, a white Acura NSX (whose shapes could look really cool in LEGO if done well), a Jeep Wrangler, a Blue Ford Mustang Shelby GT, an Orange 2020 Toyota Supra, (another must buy for me for parts) and a Pontiac Fiero. Some of these may be a bit to similar to stuff they've done recently: They did a black Charger in 2019 (75893) and a Blue Mustang in 2016 (75871). Lego has the Dodge, Chevrolet, Jeep, and Ford licenses, so those vehicles seem the most likely. Of course this is all just speculation if there is a Speed Champions/Fast and Furious tie in or if they are continuing with Speed Champions style/price points under the 'Fast and Furious' banner for a year.

  6. I'm a fan of Speed Champions for all of the useful parts, so I'm hoping for some more bright colors for cars in 2021. How cool would a spring yellowish green car be? And we haven't gotten a flame yellowish orange one since wave one's McLaren P1. I also think sand blue, aqua, or some shade of purple or pink would be fun.
