I’m back with another technique! I actually saw this one on a poster at LEGOLAND. It is a simple way of making nice looking pine trees. And here they are in a small forest. Clutch Builder

Hmm, interesting. I am going to LEGOLAND tomorrow and I can see if I can figure out some of that for you. I actually don’t know for sure if there are miniland trains where I’m going, but if there are, I can probably get all those distances. This is a place to share all those interesting and simple building techniques that you find. I’ll start: This technique uses three pieces per segment, and can be repeated as long as you want. It looks to me like some kind of architectural design on an Art Deco building.

Personally I like 8 wide, as it allows for more detail, and the extra width really comes in handy if you plan on motorizing your trains. 6 wide, on the other hand, integrates better with TLG’s train sets, and is cheaper. Ultimately, it comes down to whether or not you want/need the extra detail that 8 wide allows. If you’re not too fussed about the detail, then I would definitely go with 6 wide. Clutch Builder

No problem! Yeah, MyBlocks are really useful. My other suggestion would be to give the programs and MyBlocks very different names. e.g. the programs could be “CityShaper1” and “CityShaper2” and then the MyBlocks would be named 001, 002, 003, etc. Obviously all the MyBlocks still show up, but this way they are easier to tell apart.

I just checked to see if this was possible, and it doesn’t look like it, unfortunately. The other thing that you could do is to just use the normal blocks and not put them into MyBlocks, but this tends to make programs a lot larger and harder to read. Hope you find a solution!

Cool test! It’s nice to know that the new wheels won’t impact performance too much. I wonder if it makes a difference if you use both new and old wheels on the same train.

The method in this video is pretty good - I have tried it myself and it seems fairly fast.
