Lego stores in finland
In the Helsinki centre, the Stockmann department store is your best bet. Last time I checked, they had stuff like Architecture sets and Mindstorms on stock, which you won't find in normal supermarkets. Like verkkokauppa.com (which is easily reached by tram), it's also a good destination for your non-Lego shopping needs. If you are travelling from the airport by car, you might also want to check out the Toys Я Us at Vantaa. At times, I've seen exclusive sets on shelves, but don't count on it. Not worth the trouble unless you have an another reason to wander around the area. Добро пожаловать в Финляндию!

3677 Red Freight Train
Well, a red battery box sure would be useful, if they were planning to release a remake of the 6399 Airport Shuttle. Even the stripe (the light gray lid) is almost spot-on.

10211 Grand Emporium price gone mad
I noticed that too! I'm happy for you guys. But as the amount of the "expensive countries" is getting smaller, it's even more frustrating to live in one. I sent an email to SAH customer service, basically asking WTF, but politely. To my surprise they answered quite quickly. (This is my translation from Finnish:) "The prices of LEGO products vary in different coutries, because of differences in economical situation, taxation, and other aspects. (???) Unfortunately we cannot sell LEGO products with the same price in each country. If you have friends or relatives in a country where the set is cheaper, maybe they can buy one and post it to you." So basically that's LEGO Direct telling us we shouldn't buy directly from them, but try to cheat. That's just lovely. I'm so angry for the fact that it's cheaper to ship the set from the US. For the environmental impact alone.

Introducing myself and my city.
Speaking of which, here's a fast snap of the current setup (eagerly awaiting the Grand Emporium): It's a tough fit, most of my stuff (especially the 9V trains) has to be stacked in boxes in the wardrobe closet.. So, it's the three of you, spending your weekend somewhere in wintry Ostrobothnia (from what I gather?), building a huge layout, sipping beers? Not bad. Not bad at all.

Introducing myself and my city.
Haha! The can of Karjala adds a nice AFOL touch to your tabletown! Looking forward to more pictures! Nice to see more Finns on EB. Wish I had as much space to play with my collection... My pre-dark ages classic town is in atoms in the attic, the new city has to fit on top of the bookshelf (and my random Star Wars stuff is making everyone confused at my workplace office).

Town 2010 set
Or at least worthy of it's own topic on T&T subforum. This needs to be bumped! I spotted it first at The Brothers Brick and had to use the search function to find it here on EB.

10194 Emerald Night (Exclusive 2009)
I'd say. To get your Emerald Night running with lights you'd need all those sets, adding up to about 94 pounds, which is about 100 euros. If the pound rate was usual (it's phenomenally cheap now), it'd be more like 130 euros. Ok, if you already have the remote and the transformer, the price is "only" 70 euros per train. Still, a 9V train got moving at about half of that price (3748 + 10153), although cheaper track compensates in the long run. I'll pick up the Emerald Night once it's available, but I sure as heck won't cough up another 100 euros just to get it going. I suppose they'll have to release a playset like 4511 or 7897 that'll include not only all the things you need to get a train moving but also a freaking train and some tracks, preferably with a price tag of about 100e. That'd make sense pricewise. After all, the IR control is a system for kids. EDIT: Another scanned page. Oh, ok. 80 pounds will get you all the electric stuff in one pack.

New set: Letters Building System
Actually it looks like three 6x12 plates. And I guess they won't be ordinary plates, since they "can be stood up on feet or hung on the wall" (which might come in handy for display purposes). Still, 20 euros for 180 pieces seems kinda pricey.

Third Cafe Corner style building in 09
According to Brick Town Talk, this info has been emailed by "L.G. Orlando", who claims to have seen a prelim photo in a Lego Store. Someone with that name has posted modular building MOCs on MOCpages. I don't know what to think. The info hasn't popped up anywhere else yet. Do Lego Store staff show prelim pics to customers?

Third Cafe Corner style building in 09
The orginal source of the fire station rumour has more to say (on Brick Town Talk): More than one modular building... Sweet. As for the fire station, I'll reserve my comments until I'll see the design.
