  1. Final Fantasy There's 20 years worth of material to tap into, from beasts to vehicles to environments. From Final Fantasy 7 alone there's enough stuff to fill a couple of waves.
  2. Doesn't a decrease in sets make sense? I mean, we won't be getting the additional wave for a film release the next few years, so I thought that was the logical conclusion.
  3. This is utterly spectacular!
  4. Honestly, I'm kinda underwhelmed. The rusted Mando speeder is the better choice for a build, but I do think things could have been better. Toss in a few jetpacks, dull down the colours maybe.
  5. It's not like Marvel doesn't have 80s years worth of material to source from. I wish Disney or the Marvel higher ups were as loose with LEGO as they are with Hasbro. Everything here feels so limited while they just finished releasing Alpha Flight of all things.
  6. Yeah... Only the figures are interesting for me, these builds... Yikes man, good for play, but not good to look at.
  7. Not too fussed about the Microfighters, the Tatooine pack is nice enough, but I really have no need for it, and the Kylo one is a pass because I own the larger one. If I don't pick up the system Y Wing I'll pick up Zorii. The Battlepack is nice, if not having a bit of a weird ratio. I'll pick up a couple at least. The Duel on Mustafar looks... Fine I guess, the draw is basically the figures, but it looks a bit busy with the inclusion of the facility arm which for some reason falls upwards? I'd have prefered a focus on building up maybe the main lava lake as that's the stronger side of things, especially with what looks like a sliding platform feature. Had that solely been the focus and more built up, I'd say the set would look better. The two Tatooine sets are fine if you don't have them prior, so I may pick them up but they're not much a priority. I do like the Ben Kenobi hut most, especially with the training droid print and Leia holo. The Dagger looks good and the design was a good call. The figures are honestly good too, if not minimal, I'm glad to get another KoR and a different way to get Finn. Poe's new X Wing is good too, a worthy upgrade for the T70 thanks to the new techniques included. Once again another KoR is welcome, Jannah looks great with my only nitpick really being her bow, I didn't expect a new mold but I think maybe having it in a darker grey would have been better. I don't really have anything to say on Poe or R2.
  8. I do hope we get J:FO sets like the Mantis, the game is pretty great and while there is only one new prominent vehicle, it'd be a nice oppurtunity to go back and get older ones they've missed, like the TIE Interceptor, TIE Reaper, Imperial Police Dropship, Zeta Class Shuttle and Rebels AT AT. You could also get some good location sets out of it.
  9. It'd be nice to get the J:FO cast in the future some how, for the most part we have existing the pieces for the minifigures, aside from maybe Greez's head, the Second Sister's helmet, maybe Merrin's hairpiece and definitely BD-1. The Ninth Sister would be interesting to see, if they go with a big fig or make parts that make her look taller.
  10. Honestly, aside from the Mantis there's not much new stuff. Maybe one of Saw's LAAT's, but I'm pretty sure they're just Republic ones with no differences. The only other prominent vehicles off the top of my head were the AT AT, AT ST, TIE Interceptor, Reaper and Fighter, and the Imperial Police Dropship. You could maybe try a civillian/Bracca Conveyex, I guess. You could also try mocking one of the Bounty Hunter Droids, but that's more of a larger figure.
  11. I'm pretty sure merch from Bandai had R2 flying with Poe
  12. I'm pretty sure there were some regular Henchmen in the Hank Pym trailer
  13. We're probably gonna go back to 2 waves per year with the larger/exclusive sets spread out throughout the year for the next few years, outside of TV releases we'll be out of the big movie merch roll-outs of recent years, as well as Anniversaries such as 20 years of Lego Star Wars, well unless there's a sudden big push for the ESB anniversary, but that doesn't seem likely outside of some of the sets being sourced from ESB.
  14. Now that the new trailer is out, I'm even more irked we got the Death Star turret instead of a Orbak set at the same price point.
  15. The Iron Man looks pretty good, perfect addition for my Hall of Armour, plus the mech might be good for a more bigfig-scale Hulkbuster. Thor is a good start, the blank legs are dissapointing though, but I probably have some knight/warrior legs to fix that. Black Panther is fine, the only real addition I could think of is toe printing for claws and some texture on the legs, and even then I think that's a nitpick. Still unsure on Caps design overall, so the courts are out on that one. Anya Corazon is a nice suprise, the white torso threw me off at first though. Yeah, the AIM designs are just dull, that's on the game though, not Lego. Hawkeye is pretty good, once again only leg straps could make it better, maybe the arms from Ethan Hunt to give him his T Shirt look he currently has.
  16. A factor, yes, but personally I don't think it was a notable one compared to the other 3. As for Rogue One, I was going off the critical response compared to the prior 3, I wasn't trying to tread on anyone's toes here even if it isn't my cup of tea.
  17. Firstly, from my observations I'm seriously doubting your claim that there's no hype. Secondly, Solo underperformed due to a lackluster marketting campaign, a very troubled and costly production and from a critical persepective being the weakest film since TFA, which I kinda agree with. As for the Lego, Star Wars is still a top performer, from both the 2018 annual results and according to the report in September about the first half of the years admidst profits somewhat dropping which leads into my final point. Times have changed and as previously mentioned toys aren't selling as well as they used to across the board with kids looking to digital stuff/games like Fortnite, with Lego even getting to try that outlet with Boost (I think) and Hidden Side, as well as having strong... Competitors isn't really the word with Marvel cause Disney ownership, Rivalry maybe? Anywho, what I'm saying is there are other brands now that have been built up. Basically, I don't think there's anything to worry about. Lego Star Wars will still go on.
  18. For the most part I like the series, my only big complaints are a lack of Barda, as well as Cheetah, Sinestro and Rebirth Superman feeling a bit boring for me. I get another Superman was pretty inevitable and he'd use a lot of existing parts, but we could have got something like Kingdom Come Supes, or maybe the black suit from the comics, complete with Old Luke/Sirius hairpiece in black. I get why Cheetah and Sinestro were used too, but admittedly neither are my favorites, I'd have liked to have gotten Circe from the current JLD story in Cheetahs place, and maybe one of the other Lanterns like Larfleeze or Atrocitus, maybe even a hero as a lantern instead of retro Sinestro. Aside from that, if I was gonna get really nitpicky, I'd say put someone else in Metamorpho's place, he really feels like a bit of a niche selection. Maybe have Constantine or Zatanna in his place, they wouldn't need new pieces like Metamorpho. I'm really suprised we're getting TDKR Joker though, I'd have thought he was a bit too dark for Lego.
  19. You're kinda right, normally in the comics pre-ITSV he didn't have a hat and his mask had more of a stitch pattern, save for maybe a cover or two to the best of my knowledge. It's curious, I have no idea how the licensing would go down so it's possible they might have just tossed a hat and had the webs on him for recognisability.
  20. There's really not a lot to do so, there's no expansive and growing roster of vehicles and locations they can pull from (Star Wars, DC Comics) and they can't toss in random original creations for sets (Marvel, JP). A lot of HP's sets are locations, most that won't fit into smaller sets. Plus right now the quality of the HP line is very good, it'd be better if the time is taken to preserve that quality.
  21. Now that you mention it, there is a bit of a smear going onto the hip piece from a edit, my bad then!
  22. Not sure if anyone has seen, but a new Rey minifig has popped up based on her wearing Finn's jacket in TFA, not sure if it's legit or not.
  23. Surely just Santa would be fine, he is the most powerful mutant.
  24. Alright, I like that we're finally getting more comic-based Marvel sets (That aren't Spidey), and since the leaked Thanos is comic-book based I'm hoping the Iron Man from his mech will be too. The Spidey stuff is okay, but not a must buy with repeated villains, unless they're good variants, of course.
  25. I like the new Anakin, but it really is a missed opportunity to give him a new hairpiece.
