recommended site to sell of older Technic Kits in UK?
baddon replied to baddon's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThanks all. Using a combination of Local FB market place and Gumtree we have nearing half away (5 sets). I have also been able to buy a few missing parts to complete being able to change one from a B model to the A model using your links. Anyone a home for the larger 2 let me know (crane and logging truck) UK based.

recommended site to sell of older Technic Kits in UK?
baddon replied to baddon's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingTo all above advice, thanks. I will have a more in depth look. Thanks again. reading the Bricklink new seller verification, you have to 1 Register an account 2 buy and item and get positive feedback 3 then you can start to upload items to sell. Which means buying an item I dont want and hoping I get feedback, or am I making his more complicated than it actually is?

recommended site to sell of older Technic Kits in UK?
Hello all, I know its not allowed to post for sale adds, but wonder if you can advise on good places to sell to collectors older (2010 to 2014) Technic kits. My eldest wants to liquidize his collection (he will likely regret it in a decade or so, BUT it is his. Thanks in advance, Andrew

Hello from NI, What other hobbies you all have?
Thanks
- Do you buy toys other than LEGO?
-
Do you "follow the instructions", build your own, or both?
I am an instructions guy from early childhood and still to this day. When i buy something i go looking online for the manual (just downloaded and printed out one for my new to me Yamaha Waveblaster 2 from 1995 ish) I am an Engineer and in work I have to build exactly to plans. All 3 of the kids love to go from ideas rather than follow instructions though.

Good place to sell Technic kits in UK?
My eldest son is looking to liquidate his Technic collection. Much to my and the middle lads disgust I add, but its his so he gets to do what he wants with it. So my question is where do I go to realize the best prices for him. I use both eBay and Gumtree (eBay has steep fees and Gumtree has limit as its best for local pick up) FaceBook marketplace is taking off but same issue as Gumtree. I was hoping I may be able to post here BUT understand the rules is rules and I am not realistically sticking around to make 100 posts just so I can add a for sale add. So you collectors out there where should i go to sell his collection please? Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions. Andrew from near Belfast.

Hello from NI, What other hobbies you all have?
Started collecting Lego Land as a very young kid, moved quickly to Technic, starting with the car chassis and then on through the Pneumatics. Lost interest as I starter to get into RC (started collecting vintage Tamiya again 2 years ago) then lost interest in RC when I started driving. Got married had kids and so restarted my love of Lego, with creator and then Techincs with my eldest son. 2nd son now also into Lego land, Ninjago, Monster Hunters and a few other of the more kids ones. He likes to build of instructions as well and is very creative. The boys also were interested in my old RC stuff as I kept them all which lead to me having a renewed interest in the vintage Tamiya as well as a fleet of family bashers from Tamiya and Traxxas. Both the good lady and I are/were into bikes and motorsport so we also have now 2 trikes (so we can all get out with 3 kids between us) and a Jetski for some water fun as well. We enjoy getting away for the weekend so have both a trailer tent for the trikes and a caravan for normal weekends away. I am a MASSIVE believer in renewables and reusing/2nd hand. We have solar PV, a water heater that put most of the energy created to use and saves on oil. We also have a wood burner which uses timber which is a byproduct of my work. We buy a lot of 2nd hand (mostly for the economics and also for the green side of it) and use eBay & Gumtree a lot for stuff we want/need and also to resell stuff we no longer use. So some photos:- Eldest sons collection of Technic My collection of Vintage Tamiya (mostly 4WD) with every buggy 4WD from the HotShot through to the Terra Scorcher (spans a 4Year period) also 2 2WD that I wanted back in the day and 2 wheelie trucks. 3 of these are my own original buggies from way back in the day. Next up is our trikes, yellow is my good ladies and blue is mine. This is my 3rd trike and her 2nd. Our other form of motor hobby is this just refurbished Yamaha WaveBlaster 2, a mid 90's ski (just traded up from a Kawasaki X2 so the kids can join me on the water and also its great at towing toys so again more child involvement. The trailer was a nut and bolt refurb with mostly new components as it was falling apart. Lastly is our 2 HOW's (house on wheels) this was last weekend at a club rally (Caravan Club) when its warmer and we have no kids with us (or only two at most) we can use this Ours is the one on the right behind my trike over at a bike rally 2 years ago.

My eldest sons collection
baddon replied to baddon's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modelingthe beauty of collecting now (as with lego) is more disposable income and little more skill to get the look you want.

Studless vs. Studful
baddon replied to timslegos's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingOH boy was I lost when i started reading this. I was imagining that studless mean the stud connectors, so looked up UTube and then realized it was just the bricks no longer have studs on top so you cant build a wall. Been out of this soooo long
