  1. More accurately, this is the Imperial Raider-class Corvette, first developed for the X-wing Miniatures Game.
  2. The wings look a tad too wide to my eye, but I certainly wouldn't mind buying an instruction manual for this.
  3. The use of Technic liftarms on the fuselage is really distracting with their round ends, and it also bothers me that you didn't straighten out the flashback supressors on the laser cannons before taking pics. I also dislike the use of bricks to make the canopy. The official X-wing style canopy is more than sufficient, IMO, even if it's not as square as it should be. Other than those points, it's a pretty nice MOC.
  4. Sure thing, man! :D I can take more pictures if you want, but I think that will cover it. It's a really strong structure for something that's relatively spindly, owing mainly to the angling of the lift arm. Also, I'm glad that I happened to have a 2x4 modified plate with holes for this, because it has anti-studs on it that allowed me to securely attach it on the back end. Also, I thought it might look better with a hood ornament:
  5. Been working hard on this one, fellas! I think I have it pretty much solid, maybe a little tweaking left to do here and there. I decided to tile the sides and I think it actually did end up improving the look of the thing! Let me know what you think. I left the nose a little bumpier to suggest wear. I also reworked the struts for the engines. They look much better now, and give the ship a more streamlined appearance, and I also replaced the front strut with a single Technic lift arm. This helped give the assembly a lot more rigidity and strength. I also reworked the turret mount to make it look more visually interesting. And last but not least, I built a stand for it out of Technic beams and tiles because it's impossible to fit landing gear to this ship IRL. I know that there was a scene in the game where the ship is landed, but it's clear that the landing gear were an afterthought and I just can't find a way around the problem. Maybe someday, but for now, it's not strictly necessary. The model is still quite swooshable! Even the engines and fins behave themselves when swooshing it around, heh. I don't think there are many more areas that need strengthening. Comments and criticisms are appreciated!
  6. It really depends on where you plan on displaying them, IMO. Even if you get all the pieces together, if you have no place to put it and display it a while, it's kind of a wasted effort to me. Find the biggest area you can display a completed model, and then use that to choose the one you want to build. As TwoSolitudes said, they're all super awesome models and any of them would make a fantastic display piece!
  7. He managed to get one on the target? SEND THAT MAN TO SNIPER SCHOOL!!
  8. Looking at your MOC again, I realized something was bothering me about the taper of the nose. It feels far too blunt, especially when compared to this screenshot: I think if you moved the hinges back and widened the nose by one stud it would have the more gentle slope of the ship in the game.

Holy toledo, this is awesome! Great use of parts, and I love the method you used to obtain the kneeling pose! Well done!
  10. You'd need it in case of instrument failure or sensor failure. It would be sort of a backup for the primary means of visually guiding the spacecraft, there in case you need it, but not really used all that often.
  11. I generally prefer the underslung engines on the official version, but I like the curviness of yours better, even if it doesn't look like it was manufactured by Incom.
  12. Looks pretty great, dude! :D I do think the engines tilt down and out too far, and I agree with Jimminynick about the studs out method (maybe I'm a little biased, heh!). But the color does look great! I might need to do a complete rebuild of my MOC with dark tan sometime, though I think red looks better to my eye than dark red, compared to screencaps. The fine manipulator on Wee-Gee looks like it might work better with a battle droid arm, but again, fantastic work! I might have to steal the design and display it with my Crow!
  13. Yeah, absolutely. I just love seeing weird, off-the-wall builds like this! That's one of the things that I liked seeing on FBTB back in the day, in fact.
  14. Well, I would agree with you except that the orange seems to follow the stripe along the bottom of the nose. I think this detail is fascinating, because it's a dramatically different color scheme than the brown and red scheme seen in the cutscenes, like the cinematic model and in-game model were made side by side by two different people, and one of them didn't get the memo about the color scheme change.
