Aurorasaurus replied to Lego Tom's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling42069 for the great amount of functions in a really cool package. 42077 because it was my first proper technic set, so it has a special place in my heart.

48-Hour MOC Challenge General Discussion Topic
Aurorasaurus replied to 2GodBDGlory's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI think that as you mentioned before, the topics should be very broad so everyone can build something. Also, as this is a "challenge" not a "contest", perhaps we could have multiple things? Another idea is to maybe have a specific car, and we all just build something inspired by it.

Lixander`s lodge - W.I.P.`s and MOC`s
Aurorasaurus replied to Lixander's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling14 is good for such a heavy beast! For measuring speed I use a cycplus g1, available on aliexpress for quite a reasonable price. Sometimes it takes a minute to connect to a satellite if you're standing still, but overall its a really good product, especially for the price.

42171 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance
Aurorasaurus replied to Ngoc Nguyen's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingBy my rough calculations from measuring pixels, the new tires have a diameter of around 80mm. To fit into the existing tire sizes, they could be 81.6 mm.

Lixander`s lodge - W.I.P.`s and MOC`s
Aurorasaurus replied to Lixander's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingWhy do you prefer buwizz 2.0 over buwizz 3.0? I know buwizz 2.0 is cheaper but 3 of them is roughly the same as two buwizz 3.0s, but with IMO reduced performance and functionality.

Lixander`s lodge - W.I.P.`s and MOC`s
Aurorasaurus replied to Lixander's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingAnd you cant use C+ motors. With such a large model the buwizz 2 would really be struggling, buwizz 3 is really the only good option imo. Or maybe two MK 6 ports, but I dont know how good they are from personal experience.

Lixander`s lodge - W.I.P.`s and MOC`s
Aurorasaurus replied to Lixander's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingMy general rule and what most people seem to follow is a buwizz 3 can run 2 buggy motors at full power and a buwizz 2 can run 1 at full power reliably and 2 if youre super duper careful. With buwizz 3 you would also have to swap to a C+ L motor for steering. In my experience, after the firmware update, a buwizz 3 runs 2 buwizz motors completely fine and never cuts out. You just need to be a bit grown up with your driving, which took me a little bit. Gentle throttle and such. Hope this helps :)

Lixander`s lodge - W.I.P.`s and MOC`s
Aurorasaurus replied to Lixander's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingNice work! Out of curiosity, do you know how much a MK 4 port unit weighs? Perhaps you could go faster with more power to weight. Regardless, 13km/h is still pretty quick and not to be scoffed at.

Aurorasaurus replied to Didumos69's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThat looks like it was handling really well. Did you encounter any issues? And, a side note, do you think it could fit 6 buwizz motors without too much modding?

[MOC] Chevrolet El Camino 1981 [Breaking Bad] Jesse Pinkman getaway car
Aurorasaurus replied to syzygy87's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingWow, thats a really detailed build. I especially like the engine. Nice work! A shame you couldn't fit in the adjustable suspension, but I think that would have been a tall order at this scale and detail level. A great build!

Best 3d priter
Aurorasaurus replied to Sentinel's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingBuilding on 2GodBDGlory's post. I have a bambu lab P1S and if the A1 mini is anything like it, its definitely more of an appliance than another hobby. If you want something that "just works" then I think bambu lab might be the way to go.
