  1. No, it was already there during construction.
  2. This one turned out really great mate! Excellent shape, cool colours and the sails and rigging also look the part. I guess that dude in the headrails got stuck ey? I do miss a few parts of the rigging, like the ratlines. Do you intend to add those later?
  3. What? There's nothing furry about that!
  4. Looks beatiful so far! Good luck on the build!
  5. Man your model looks great, despite a few not so historically correct things. It is a daring mission to build such a large model, I admire your patience and Will to complete it. I think the tan coloured rigging looks nice, not on every ship the ropes were tarred. The tan bushes might be on the small side, but I like it better then grey ones. After all this is Lego and it May be modelled as you like. I look forward to see the finished result!

It's, it's, it's so....Big! Very nice setup and you've got some good MOCs build up in there. I'd love to see some more detail shots of those.
  7. Very nice model, it looks Just like the real thing. My only nitpick is that the tower roof on the real thing is roundish instead of square, but that can be hard in Lego of course.
  8. Absolutely gorgeous! Good luck in the contest!
  9. Aha, now I see that extra boom behind the mizzen, also called a trisail mast I Just read. They made that to accomodate a larger sail for nore speed. Interesting stuff!
  10. I get inspired from looking at many photo's, or visit the real object I want to build. For some models I make a sketch and measure out the large proportions. But most of the time I Just start building and let the model "grow". Meaning I tear down parts all the time to get everything correct and integrate even the smallest of detail. I stay away from digital building, I like to get my hands "dirty"
  11. The first fkex tube headrails on a ship were on my la mort royale, but imperial shipyards Just used them in a more "perfectionist" way. anyways, they seem to be used as ornamental instead of functional like on real ships? So I wondered if there is a real life example of this? A snow is a type of brig if I'm not mistaken? Which part exactly is the snow nast? I don't know anything about this type.
  12. You should have named her snow White! really nice looking brig, shape, mast and sails all look great! I do wonder where the inspiration for those headrails came from?
  13. Great looking schooner! I'd like to see the stern more integrated with the colour scheme instead of all that White, but it's really no biggie.
  14. This has a really nice shape. The colours are bold and daring and they work in the end. The green sails are a nice touch and they have a really excellent shape! My only nitpick is that the bowsprit seems to be bent.
  15. We can't make these dates, that's too bad.
  16. She turned out really nice buddy! Where did the inspiration for the triangle shaped top sail come from? My only nitpick is that the rigging might look nicer in a more natural or darker colour.
  17. Excellent work, as we would expect from you!
  18. You could try and reverse build some of the great MOCs displayed on the forum. This really used to help me with a few things back in the day, though I always gave my models my own touch instead of making 100% copies. Though I'm now at a point where I believe I can build anything, except elaborate technical stuff. Good luck on your quest!
  19. You did a great Job capturing the shape of the nose AND the coloured lines, top notch!
  20. I love the use of diamonds for lamp posts! Indeed this scale has the possibility to build a huge city without having the need for an equal huge space. I look forward to your expansions!
  21. That's awesome. A merry Christmas to you too!
  22. Awesome model! The angled walls are great and you've managed to cram in a lot of detail for it's size. I do wonder why you haven't used cheeseslopes for the blocks on the wall instead of 45 degree slopes with tiles.
  23. Really nice display Phred! It's great they gave you the opportunity to show your models there. Did you get a good response?
  24. I'm not selling since they stil run, Just not that great. I hope you find some!
