  1. @4x4mods its not a lift, but I did add a third shock absorber to the rear and added more support to reduce the amount of tension on the axle(s) used to connect the springs. Makes it sit up much nicer; doesn't "sag" in the back. Note: I also used two red shocks on the front axle as well - instead of one red and one gray.
  2. @SimonCK yes - the steering connection remains intact with a few minor modifications. Use a longer axle parallel to the ground, and a shorter axle angled connecting the two u-joints near the cab.
  3. Love the lowering of the rear suspension @efferman! I took that as inspiration to lower the front the same amount. It greatly improves the stance! I also implemented something similar to @Lionintown's engine compartment cover, and upgraded the engine compartment a bit with a few turbos.
  4. I've finished getting rid of the silly looking inline 6, put in a V6 with @Edward011778's intake manifold, and added my own intercooler. Think I'm done with the engine compartment!
  5. I decided to mod the part of this car that I thought the Lego team really "mailed in"... the side "fins" of the rear wing. In my opinion, my modification makes it look much better - and much closer to the real thing.
  6. Hi there! Thanks for all the cool mods in this thread! I started modding my defender a few weeks back. So far, I have implemented the rear tailgate rubber band tension mod from @Coolusername, the roof rack fog lights, lockable doors and the bar to keep the bonnet open from @twoofive, the door-limiter from @JunkstyleGio. I have made two mods of my own. One - extremely simple one - is a roof tail light "bar". The other - is making the passenger seat fold to provide access to the back seat as it would in a real 2-door SUV. For this model - it also gives a better look at more of the gears and axles from the side! The folding mechanism includes a lever "lock" that you must articulate to allow the seat to tip forward. I'm not thrilled with the way the folding mechanism attaches to the seat using studs, but I was unable to find another way to attach it that didn't interfere with the door hinge assembly. Pictures are below, along with links to download the stud.io files! Stud.io file for rear light bar Stud.io file for folding passenger seat
