  1. Hey. You put 2x black shocks on each side of the front axle? Original instructions say a soft and a hard combo. Maybe you find it a bit too soft?
  2. [Take it light-heartedly] Are you not among the serious ones complaining about the 2025 thread being sliding away off the topic? I second the idea that a Le Mans style car be released in every two years. If the 1:5 bikes and Formula One racers get it that way why not Le Mans ones! Wish Lego had released this car, it would look cool in that colour accent.
  3. Really liked the way you implemented the looking glass for this MOC. Five years (almost) gone and it feels amazing how this set still keeps getting such awesome creations ❤️‍🔥
  4. Thanks. There has been a "comparison" video got out by these guys. Apparently the stock Defender performs better in terms of "off-roading" . While I do not agree what they say about transmission it does seem the rest seems to be pretty valid points. They IMO look cool after swapping the tyres!
  5. @jb70 come out come out and join forces (when it's time)
  6. Alongside Racingbrick's review there is a very detailed written review out there: https://ramblingbrick.com/2024/07/26/now-i-get-it-42177-mercedes-benz-g500-professional-line/ With a video detailing the drivetrain functions:
  7. From Let'sBuild video, dude says that if you are a Mercedes Fan you will love this set, but if you an off-road lover, then Defender is better (something like that). Did he mean 42110 has better suspension/off-roading or was simply mentioning real life cars' off-roading performance? 🤔 Also, the front sits are...flimsy- something done right with the 42110.
  8. You gunna do that for P1? Hopefully?
  9. Man! Such an awesome work. It somehow missed my eyes. Choke full of functions. A slight (maybe on nitpicking level) concern for me is the three axle steering. The 3rd axle seems to move/response a little late when inclined but again I am sure that is a little thing. I honestly think any parent who want their child to learn and play with Technic should seriously consider this MOC. Also in the video it would be cool if a little sneak-peak in the drivetrain along with Engine was shown. Or did I miss that! Awesome MOC 🔥👏
  10. That's you, @M_longer, right? Keep us updated!
  11. I see and I don’t forget. Perhaps, go visit a doctor to check whether you have dementia or not 🙄 Ah, finally! Surprised to see it uses the long steering gear rack for the door mechanism. Ingenious. And also it’s good when they connect the diff gear directly to the engine.
  12. I don't get this. Dude asked how the gearbox behaves when moved on a plain surface. The other dude replied it accordingly. Why sentiments and counter-sentiments are being dumped here on this poor McLaren P1's thread? Keep this set's turf clean and related, please @Milan And, no, the sentiments and arguments all are valid and reasonable too ever since the first Technic Ultimate set revealed back in 2016. These just need a dedicated general thread. I think it is high time a dedicated 1:8 scale Ultimate Car (not set specific) criticize/sentiments/feedback (whatever adjective fits here) thread is created. That thread should always be kicking and alive by and thru veteran Eurobrickers like the above members. Otherwise, all those valuable views/perspectives will keep getting buried in a particular/specific set thread. Kindly think about it dear higher-ups @Jim @Milan
  13. I second that. An extensive test like this would be essentially cool given all the drums and gears that have been developed in recent years.
  14. Part 2 of Racingbrick's review is out Interestingly it has no reverse. Instead has an e-mode which when switched only the drum will roll.
  15. Ha. That's also correct. Howevr, the speculation and wishes thread does not specify the year meaning you can wish and speculate any set for any years to come. Again, the wishes and speculation that are being made here are for 2025 😛 I think 2025 can have two threads: A) 2025 Official sets discussion thread B) 2025 Wishes and Speculations thread Now it's upto people and higher-ups if they allow/think a certain year can have two such threads or not 🤷‍♂️ Fact is, when all 2024 sets are revealed and reviewed (mostly) people are supposed to enter the future wishes and spec thread just before a handful amount of information for 2025 comes out therefore requiring a dedicated thread where discussions will be solely for whatever are actually happening. Howevr, for years that is not happening here 🤦🏻‍♂️
  16. It's a trend. When the 202x thread begins information is really scarce. Not to blame people too much if speculation and wishes (to some extent) invades here 🤷‍♂️
  17. Honestly makes more sense. Thanks guys! I will edit the post now.
  18. You guys continue this awesome discussion meanwhile I think the successor to 42128 aka the HD Tow Truck should come by next few years, expecting from the year 2025.
  19. Cannot tell for sure. Take a look at it. He switches the lever with satisfying click and, both pair of axles move. Before switching it was only the rear axle. In both cases the other guy was moving the red gear of the rear diff. Of course you guys are more expert on this one. Btw do you think it will have rolling resistance as much as the Ford Raptor/42126 had?
  20. A bit detailed demo of function of the car. - the rear seat is foldable which is noice.
  21. Duckbricks review is out At around 16:11, was it clicking when it was in the "slowest" gear? 🤔
  22. Thanks. From the article regarding the new 7x7 wishbones: Hmm.
