  1. That is one of the best layout design software I have tried! I am into G scale model trains more then Lego Train, but it does great both ways!
  2. +1 for Plano boxes! The 3730, 3731, 3700 and 3701 makes life very easy to keep the maximum Lego in my closet and has locks to secure the lids ;-)
  3. That is an awesome build! But that is definitely a Hackintosh computer :-/
  4. It is great looking and talk about built to fit your custom setup, lol I am surprised that we don't see more of these awesome cases. All the PC Case modders out there sculpting cases out of all different kinds of mediums, but not Lego as much. We all love Lego here and we all have computes :-/ Now how many of people build their PC's? Then making a SFF case out of Lego would be a fun MOC. I am a Mac guy ;-)

Creating it with an odd number looks great! Just add some custom stickers and it will give a great finishing touch.
  6. I believe I asked once about buying one, not interested in them, and I believe the store said they couldn't sell them. Not 100% sure though. I will definitely ask next time I am there. Though I did ask when they are going to put their series 3 CMF on sale, though no word yet from them. It should be soon. And they should be able to sell it by the case as well. They said also said they have to check on that too. I won't buy it but thought it was interesting. Correct me if I am wrong guys!
  7. It is just more economical to buy the K-Box in my eyes then taking the time and trying pack in as much as possible into a PAB $15 cup (more applicable to bricks then plates). With Lego VIP rewards you still get the cash back on the boxes and get more and more friendly with the store. I have already bought several k-boxes from the Atlanta Lego store (and plenty of sets too) and they always very nice and when I go in there now they tell me what new PAB boxes they have available. My whole Lego life I had just built sets and kept them very vanilla. Now I have really started to turn my attention to MOC builds. I loved seeing all the MOC town buildings people have built on this site and would love to be able to build them, but they are a bit above my talent capabilities and loose part counts for now. Then I found this guy and his amazing skyscraper builds: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/3193 So I want to start my first MOC by building one of favorite skyscrapers, the Empire State Building. The practice and techniques learned from copying that build I want to use the build the Bank of China skyscraper (my favorite skyscraper) and more after that. The Chrysler Building is right after the Bank of China. Hence the need for light bullish grey grilles for the first build :-) And might as well buy a box full now, no shipping and the cash back can't beat that.
  8. Every since getting back into Lego I haven't been really open a it about. Until my friends started to ask where the heck I was when I would disappear for a weekend building lol ;-) So I finally told them, mostly because we all have engineering degrees so I knew that all of them had to have Lego sets as a kid too. They laughed at it but were intrigued as well. So when they would come over to the house they would always ask to see my collection. I keep it all in my office and office walk in closet when possible and for now, but that is slowly not possible. With 500+ sets and lbs and lbs of loose brick the room is getting overwhelmed. So the new rule is to keep it all upstairs. The big builds get put in either my bedroom or the hall way. The rest stays in the closet and office for now. My guest bedroom is looking more and more tempting to take over the as the Lego Room. I don't out right tell anyone I am a big Lego collector. Even at work all my colleagues don't know. The rare times some of them bring up Lego in conversation, I make a nice educated comment on it and they take a second look at me. They have not really asked me about how much I have or if I still buy. That time will come soon enough. I am in a Mechanical Eng. firm so it would not be the craziest hobby by far and would not bet against at least one other person in the company being an AFOL. I am not ashamed at all of Lego and should probably talk it up when people mention it. I would probably get more offers to buy their past collections. Always nice to get more brick :-)
  9. I would rather buy a k box of them, if not then I will go to Bricklink for them. Lego S@H PAB is way too expensive for me :-/ I was just asking to see if anyone has seen them on a PAB wall since I have seen any all year. (may of missed them too unluckily) So trying to decide weather I should be patient or if they are not an option for Lego stores to order in the recent future, and just order from BL. :-)
  10. Has anyone seen Grilles on the PAB recently? I ask my local store and they said they hadn't seen them in a while. Does anyone know what the PAB part list is? The guys working there said only the manager know. I met her once and she was quite nice but not there today. Maybe in the near future I can catch her again to ask ;-)
