BuWizz - High Performance LEGO Power Functions Controller and Battery
The cold will amplify the issue as the batteries simply can't deliver as much during that weather. I run RC Cars with 2x 3s LiPos, in the cold, the runtime is drastically lowered and power output is noticably reduced. However, if the battery is kept warmer (say, in a car that generates a lot more heat) the batteries appear to last longer. For the record, i was out in -11'c last week with those batteries, and they didn't last as long as normal.

Technic 8275 Motorised Bulldozer
ScT replied to williamyzfr1's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingNever had this set, but apparently have 97.7% of the parts required to build. It looks great, is it a fun build?

World's biggest Lego Rc monster truck video
ScT replied to Aerolight's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI enjoyed this, it was fun to see the amount of torque it has and the use of Traxxas Summit tires was well worth the watch! (Even though i cry at the thought of such a great RC sitting gathering dust, instead of being used...!) You mention that the suspension position could be improved - if it weren't for Lego not being stiff enough, and requiring a large frame to achieve it. Did you actually try it though? Would be interesting to see what actually happens with it. Nice MOC - i like the truck that inspired it too, even if not 100% operational yet. (Can't get both engines at the same rpm to shift smoothly together, iirc)

42131 - CAT D11 Bulldozer
ScT replied to Maaboo the Witch's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI didn't get the humming or beeping noises when calibrating mine while building. Everything works fine afterwards. There was definitely a pause or two during calibration though, and if i calibrate now it often seems to get stuck midway through. I usually cancel it (close the app) and start over.

42134 - Monster Jam Megalodon & 42135 - Monster Jam El Toro Loco
ScT replied to Ngoc Nguyen's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingWell, i said i'd buy the Megalodon Monster Truck a few months ago, finally got around to building it last week. My son loves it. Probably his favourite lego set yet. He loves how the teeth stay in the correct orientation even when he crashed it (which happens a lot!). So far it's been on the carpet, wooden floor and even the bed. It's raced down ramps from the couch to the floor and rolled all over the place... It's crashed into other models, and has been played with alongside the "Stuntz" set from lego city - the ramps from that set are actually perfectly sized for some good fun! Definitely a 10/10 set for playability, and wasn't hard to build either. My kid is only 5 and was able to follow the instructions fairly well (only the odd mistake, but got there in the end). The monster jam line-up as a whole has been a big hit if you ask me!

BuWizz - High Performance LEGO Power Functions Controller and Battery
@slug420 I have 42099 (Well, the @efferman MOC version) and i can see a difference in speed with the hub being swapped for BuWizz. I can also see that there's a torque difference when climbing. Sure, the difference isn't huge, but it was easily noticable. Perhaps around 10% faster, if i were to guesstimate a number.

42134 - Monster Jam Megalodon & 42135 - Monster Jam El Toro Loco
ScT replied to Ngoc Nguyen's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingFirst time seeing this thread - have to say i will be buying both. The playability is massive, especially with the previous 2. My son loves running them down ramps at full speed into eachother, and they hold up great. So theses are basically a no-brainer. Good move by Lego.

42107 - Ducati Panigale V4R
ScT replied to Ngoc Nguyen's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI can't find the pricing/deals thread that pops up, so posting here instead. This set is on offer in Norway right now for 399 nok (40 eur) at Extra-leker.no (Unsure if i'm allowed to post a direct link, but here goes nothing: https://www.extra-leker.no/lego-technic-ducati-panigale-v4r-42107 )

ScT replied to Maaboo the Witch's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHey! You can host the images on an external site, and post a link to them here. For example, www.imgur.com or flickr. I would like to see the grey-tread version with your pin changes too.

42131 - CAT D11 Bulldozer
ScT replied to Maaboo the Witch's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingMy Control+ app updated yesterday, on iOS. It now has the Bulldozer and a "Debug" option that i'd not noticed before. Also found that Proshop in Norway is selling this for 3800 nok, which is about €380. Interesting...

Advice on Publishing Premium MOCs?
@amorti I'm really liking the changes to the photos and the description, very nice, even with the "potato" camera, the build pictures look great anyway! The new rendering with multiple colours was well executed too. Not sure the price drop was needed - but then again i'm in Norway, and your instructions cost as much as some candy bars here, so...
