i start to cry in the middle of the photos its wonderful. lego city and train layout in my dreams. i hope i can build a layout like this huge one in future. for now i dont have that much trains nor space to put in my home. it was enjoy to see these pictures i hope you'll add some more. i was planning to build a train bridge.Sth similar like your one but it looks like i should improve my city too

Thanks, I think battery box and some more could cause problem for 4-5 stud designs. But i'll try sth different in next weeks

These designs looks interesting but i have an another question on my mind, i want to do sth different. I havent used that M,L,XL motors ever and also i didn't touch any Lego Technic parts so i don't know much about them but i want to do something. (have 4511,7938,7939(only engine and PF),10194(i use with 9v motor),10219) I want to create, design a tram with running functions. But i dont want a create a wagon like train-wide. I'm looking for a tram like 4 or 5 studs. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=85976 I want to use smaller tracks like this. You guys are better than me on this subject, do you think thats possible to do ? I can design wagons but i'm not sure to design this motorizations because i really dont have much part for it and dont have these type motors, i have only train motors.

you should add another line without white. red train has a white line at bottom. white train should have red-blue i don't know but there is a differnt colour line missing in your project. but it looks good i must admit that.bravo

no i'm ok with minifigure accessories. i'm not saying only "method".size and shape are also important for this classic lego experience. so accessories are compatible.. i don't think technic parts add creativty to lego. there are many moc's people doing. if there weren't any standart all that moc's would be crap. making with classic bricks and working in basic brick standarts is the key point of lego i think. intercompatibility ?? i know technic parts,bionicle parts,minifigures,bricks. you can ask a little child for this. does it look like intercompatible? comparing minifigures,bricks with technic parts ... i don't suggest the seperate these "intercompatible" systems fully. i give an example. 10194 emerald night have technic parts. its okay. but in some sets it can be bothering. i think most of lego fans which isn't technic fans dont like technic parts. "it is a con for reviews."

alsa you can ask why people dislike bionicle parts. i like bricks. i love that standart.all bricks looks same size ,shape . i'm building sth with that standart. for example i am a train fan. there are lots of train in market. some of them looks like more real more original but i love building trains with lego.i don't want to see any other material. i like bricks and that standart.that all parts fitting together with same method i don't like technic parts and also i don't like bionicle parts. i don't prefer belville sets i prefer paradisa sets. i amm excited about new dc and marvel minifigures. i'm going to buy most of them but i won't buy "Hulk". that hulk doesn't designed in normal lego minifigure standart. i think this size,shape and building in same method is very important for TLG ! this is the difference with other toy companies.. i dont like technic parts but it is okay that if it is used for only necessary functions. 10194-Emerald Night train has some technic parts but it is okay. also i am an admirer of 8110 unimog too.i have respect technic parts in technic sets ...

i hope tlg will release some kind of a tram set. 8404 tram is a good one. but it needs a rail and pf not normal train tracks. not 6 wide wheel

for new train,new boat and new rocket launch site i can say old ones are better but this isn't a rule for all sets. 4560 or 7938 ? 4560 7938 i think 7938 is better one. i can say maersk train,emerald train are also better than older ones. but this wouldn't be objective. if i compare 4560 with 7938 7938 wins.NEW CITY SETS WIN ! but if i compare 4558 with 7938 4558 wins.OLD TOWN SETS WIN! so comparing sets 1 on 1 isn't healthy. when i look from the general point of view i think new sets includes more details but new city sets looks more childish legos. i think its becasue tlg. they are selling city sets for afols with modular buildings theme.because of that city sets are look more childish.

indiana jones series selling much only because afol. they are buying these sets for german and soviet soldiers i think.colonel etc ... i think this is the best.maybe they can sell minifigs of indiana jones in other set but tlg doesn't want to sell military stuff

its big problem in some minifigures. one my lego minifigure head breaks in a motorcycle helmet :cry_happy: irony ... and it sticks in the helmet too i cant pull of the head.

i think all lego licenses are good. brands,stickers,minifigures from realworld or tv,comics,books etc. are always nice for me. 10219 maersk night train. without the maersk blue and maersk brand name it would sell less. or a batman set. you cant sell your own story sets as much as batman sets.. so my point is i'm open for every lego licenses!

i'm very happy lego bought this licenses. but i'm very disappointed with these minifigures. they are certainly look bad. batman is ok but others look like designers dont care how it is look like!!

i think this is more likely and efficient idea. monorails don't look like lego. so i can understand why lego leave monorails. monorails are ugly and they dont look like a train track too. monorails only looks good in city transporting. normal train tracks(9v,rc) are heavy and big for going over the city. but monorails are good for city transportation. with a gotham city theme or maybe new spiderman theme(dr.octopus and train crash scene) that could be possible. otherwise i don't want to see maersk train or emerald train on monorails!
