[LDD MOC] Storm IV Twin-Pod Cloud Car
When you said it was unusual I had a feeling there was a cheese wedge pushing on it.

(MOC/MOD) 75082 TIE Interceptor and Rebels-style RZ-1 A-wing
The prototype is an excellent starting point for TIE MOCs. It's fairly cheap, give you a TIE pilot and Imp officer, and the design of the prototype is easy to turn into a standard ball. Not to mention the prototype isn't even particularly desireable, at least IMO and I say that as a fan of Rebels, so I don't feel like I'm missing out by not having one assembled. I was going to build it as per the instructions and then tear it down, but once I got to the wings and looked at what I already had, it was so meh that I just stripped it down and started the Interceptor wings.

[LDD MOC] Storm IV Twin-Pod Cloud Car
Ah you're right, I forgot he came in the mini Cloud Car! And looking at pics of the real ship, I prefer your bubble canopy to the actual one. The bubble fits the design far better even if it isn't accurate.

[MOD] Alpha-5 Nova-class Starfighter (7915)
A Twi'lek pilot would have been unlikely in the time period that they were using V-wings. Thay said, the model looks great, I always preferred the Imperial version of these. I love seeing other people's pet projects. I have a few myself between Star Wars and my town scale cars, so I know the pride that goes into them.

This would look be a great consolation for the Carbon Freezing Chamber, with Lobot instead of Han though.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Wow, the TIE really is huge. I think the Devastator might be the most impressive though.

(MOC/MOD) 75082 TIE Interceptor and Rebels-style RZ-1 A-wing
I think this may be my first real post in this forum, so hello everyone, I'm Brian, aka Bootz. I've recently started seriously collecting SW sets again after a long while of favoring my modular buildings and City sets for my town layout. Last week I purchased the 75082 TIE Advanced prototype with the intention of turning it into an Interceptor (plus I wanted the figs). Since I was snowed in last night, I took it as an opportunity to build the Interceptor I've always wanted but TLG hasn't made in forever. The cockpit is essentially unchanged from the official set, of course I deleted the "Advanced" body to strip it down to just an eyeball, but otherwise I left the design as is. The wings make use of several FO TIE and T-70 polybags that now I don't feel so stupid for buying so many of. The overall shape is as close to the real thing as I wanted to get. They're a tad too long towards the rear but I feel that they look right. The hinges are the same as the Advanced prototype, so there's no chance of them supporting the weight of the model without collapsing, hence the makeshift stand. They do however "click" into place when extended like you see here, and they stay in position while swooshing. With all my builds I aim to retain swooshability and this model is exceptional in that regard. I also kept the missile launchers of the official set with the rotating back of the cockpit as the firing mechanism. It doesn't look great from behind but it's fun to shoot things and the mechanism is very slick to use. My A-wing started as mostly a recolor of the green RZ-1 from the Mon Calamari Cruiser set, but by the time I was done I realize it looked more like the Ralph McQuarrie inspired A-wings seen in Rebels. I'm very pleased with the overall shape, I wanted to capture the rounded hull as best I could while sticking close to the official models and average building techniques. The engines aren't quite accurate, but I instantly loved the way those round pieces looked there.

REVIEW 75135 Obi Wan's Jedi Interceptor
Oh I'm very picky with all of my hobbies because I have to budget money between them and actual life essentials. So I generally only buy sets I feel that I need. I've passed on all of the TFA sets aside from Rey's Speeder and the polybags because I'd rather spend that on OT sets and the occasional PT set like this. I've never had an ROTS Obi Wan nor an Eta-2, and since Obi Wan was my favorite PT character this is a set I feel compelled to get. Other sets I've been on the fence about, I can't tell you how many times I've been in a store and almost bought the Rebels TIE Advanced prototype and Imperial Assault Carrier among other sets. Plus I still need to get the Brick Bank and the 1960s Batcave this year, and I can't neglect my diecast car collection either. So just like with Hot Wheels, I happily buy the ones that interest me and leave the ones that don't on the pegs. Sorry to have hijacked this thread though. Great review, and as I said this is one I'll definitely be getting. I may have to pick up Anakin's to compliment it.

REVIEW 75135 Obi Wan's Jedi Interceptor
There were plenty of sets and themes I didn't get when I was little because they were too expensive. I still can't collect everything I want.

REVIEW 75135 Obi Wan's Jedi Interceptor
Being a fan of Obi Wan, this is a set I'm looking forward to picking up whe it becomes available in my area. It seems the consensus is that it's not worth the price, but unless you're willing to wait for a possible sale what else can you do than pay the price Lego asks for any given set? I've missed out on a few sets because I've assumed they'd turn up discounted because of their high price(the last ISD in paeticular) yet the shelves in every store I've been in have been virtually stripped clean of Lego Star Wars, that is unless you like buildable figures and Kylo's Shuttle. They charge what they do because they can, because we buy it anyway, because clearly there is a massive demand for Star Wars compared to all of their other themes. And if we're being honest, I'd assume most of us are aged 18+, so really ANY amount of money could be considered overpriced for a plastic toy. I wish Greenlight diecasts didn't cost me $6 for what is essentially a fancy Hot Wheels, but I know darn well I'm going to buy every 1970 Plymouth or 1977 Firebird I see. This is the price one pays for being part of this hobby. It's the price I pay for what makes me happy, and I can live with that.

(MOC) Allegiance-class Heavy Star Destroyer (EU-Dark Empire)
This is sick, especially next to the Eclipse. The details are fantastic and this could easily pass for a model kit. I love still seeing EU MOCs. People act like the switch in cannon made the EU vanish, but there are still incredible stories and vehicles to pull inspiration from, as evidenced by this SD.

[MOC] BTL 8 "Super Y"
I love this, from the concept to the execution. The sliding canopy is a great touch.

Meanwhile, people complained that TFA didn't have enough updated of classic ships... The R-22 Arrowhead was already part of old cannon, so I really don't see the issue with the A-wing in Rebels, or how that's enough to dismiss the new cannon entirely. The history of the Y-wing had to be retconned after its appearance in TCW, I don't see people ignoring that series because of it. Back on topic, I'm extremely excited at the prospect of the TIE Advanced vs A-Wing. My first set was the TIE vs Y-Wing, so this would be a nice tribute to that IMO. Plus I don't know how anyone can complain about more A-wings. Heck, I had hoped it was a standalone set so I could get a bunch.

[MOC] TIE-Raider
For someone who isn't into Star Wars and supposedly has never made a good SW MOC, this is quite a first effort, though something tells me you're no stranger to starfighter building. This looks fantastic, I like how you've taken bits of cannon and EU TIEs to create an original design that would look right at home next to Defenders and the like. The rounded cockpit is probably my favorite part, but the weaponry looks great too, and I like the nod to the chopped wings of the TIE Aggressor(that allowed it's rear cannons to clear the wings, yours appears to be for the pilot's visibility).

Resistance Y-Wing
The Y-wing would have been 50+ years old by TFA, the B-wing was slated to replace it after the OT, so presumably they're all retired. As for the B-wing, perhaps the T-70 fills the role that it was intended for. The rotating cockpit was always problematic, so a cash strapped Republic/Resistance could have retired it as well. Don't get me wrong, I wanted to see updated versions of my favorite starfihters, but I like to at least attempt to justify why they weren't featured.

[MOC] B-wing Shuttle (Smuggler's Troop Transporter)
This is great, the ship looks fantastic as does the crew. I love the brick built droid and the smuggler using the old UFO blue robot head.
