Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
I think after the retirement of the UCS Republic Gunship, we deserve some more prequel-era UCS sets. Before the RG, the last prequel-specific UCS was 10215 Obi Wan's Jedi Starfighter from 2010. My personal favorite Star Wars ship has to be the Venator-class Star Destroyer, which has only come in mini form and a playset from 2009. Being completely wishful and not so realistic, I am hoping that the 5000+ part $650 UCS for this fall will be a Venator and Invisible Hand together, each about 2500+ parts and big enough to have some detail but not so big that each would need its own coffee table XD. Something like the MOCs by TanBrickZ. Maybe include General Grievous and Palpatine in his grey robes, a minifig I don't think we have had before, and a clone gunner and pilot with nice prints. I would buy a Venator and Invisible Hand at bigger or smaller scales, but this would be the sweet spot. I miss the "midi-scale" sets from 2009 and 2010 and always wished I had got them. They look good on display without having to break the bank. I would like to see a midi Venator, Invisible Hand, Republic Gunship, Droid Control Ship, Imperial Shuttle, Home One, Executor, etc. As far as quote/diorama sets go, it would be cool to get the final Darth Maul duel from Phantom Menace though I cannot think of a good quote to go with it. The final Count Dooku duel on the Invisible Hand could be "Do it," just like the memes and could actually be somewhat popular for that reason, but I doubt that would actually happen XD.

LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Another reason I doubt the fall $650 D2C will be a sail barge is the price-point... I don't know if it is iconic enough to warrant something of that size. How much could you add to the old playset that would be of substance? The Pit of Carkoon, a skiff, tons of figs, some more detail, sure, but I don't see how it could sell for more than $300. It is worth noting that the UCS Star Destroyer just retired, so maybe that is making room for another capital ship like the Executor as someone said earlier here. It has been over 10 years since that one came out. However, I don't know if they would make a SSD smaller than the SD. Also if the SD was 4000 or so parts for $700, I don't know if they could make a Venator for 5000 parts and $650. There must be a lot of small parts and details in that thing. Maybe it really could be a Death Star mega playset? At the risk of sounding wishful, I wonder if a Venator and Invisible Hand could come in one set for that price point and part count. Probably not, but we have had pitifully few prequel UCS sets. Butif they did do something like that... then you are a bold one, Lego. ;)

[MOC] LEGO Eldorado Fortress, redesigned
Very cool! I can see bits of the 2009 and 2015 fort sets in this too. The dark orange complements the white well. Nice attention to detail.

[Esl - Ch III - Cat D - MOC Only] A surprising change of wind
Awesome! The galleon has a very massive feel to it that you pulled off well.

[COR - Challenge III - Cat D2] The end of the Resilience
Certifiably awesome! Nice work on making the photo look like a painting. Nice story too. You pulled off the tiny-but-epic effect very well. Microscale is always cool, and microscale that feels alive is even better. Overall a great build.

The light colors are very nice. I also notice sideways headlight bricks built into the walls which are a nice touch. This build feels very alive.

[MOC] Floral Butterfly and Metamorphosis
Hi all, I recently made this for a contest on Lego Ideas that challenged contestants to construct something with a twist on nature. I opted to create a butterfly out of plant parts since they pollinate flowers. The wings are made from tree leaves and decorated with various flower molds that Lego has produced. As an afterthought, I included the whole life cycle. The egg is a stud; the caterpillar is made of classic smileys since caterpillars often have odd patterns to scare off predators; and the chrysalis is made of minifig capes and Hobbit spiderwebs (the contest required entries to be 100% Lego). The whole thing is more or less to scale with real life, so I am sharing it in this forum. I hope you enjoy! [MOC] Ship: "The Falcon"
Hi all, I made this ship a few months ago at the beginning of quarantine. I attempted to submit it to Ideas but ran into the same problem discussed here by others of being told it overlapped with the existing Pirate Bay. Nonetheless, I had fun and was pleased with the final result. I began with hull pieces from the Creator set Cruising Adventures and made a brick-built hull from there. It was fiddly while building but now is fairly solid. The mast and decks can be removed for interior access. Because of its small size, I used brick-built cannons as well. The arrangement of colors was a bit improvised due to limited supplies of dark blue and cool yellow, but I think it works. The captain's cabin is my favorite part of any ship, so I made sure to include a bed, a painting, a map, and other details. I opted for a semi-exposed gun deck like the original Black Seas Barracuda and new Creator Pirate Ship. There is a working capstan and a brick-built anchor that I quite like. The figurehead as well as the blue tooth plates came from a Fantastic Beasts set I picked up on sale some time ago. This is my first ship MOC, and I know little about rigs and sails, so I more or less copied the original Imperial Flagship in that regard and did string rigging on only the front. I hope you enjoy! [LEGO IDEAS] Modular Island Fortress
Modular Island Fortress by Christian Techam, on Flickr Hi all, I am a new member here at EB but have read it for many years. I am sharing here a MOC of mine that I completed and uploaded to the Ideas site a year ago, the "Modular Island Fortress" (as of posting, it has over 100 days left). I love pirates and bluecoats, and I wanted to create a fort for my soldiers to call home. This one sits atop a rocky island sticking out of the sea with carved steps to the door. Its construction is modular not just in separating floors but also removeable walls as I hope to use this as a set for a stop motion film someday. On the ground floor are two cannons and a heavy wooden door. There are small holes in the walls for troops to fire through with muskets. The curved wall I made simply with hinge bricks. A hatch opens up allowing soldiers to descend by ladder into the hollowed out cellar in the rock. Stairs lead from the ground floor to the one above, where troops walk a small hallway including the door to the commander's quarters before emerging into the open air on the fortress roof. There are two swiveling cannons and a flagpole. I hope you enjoy! More pics on Ideas and my Flickr. I like this one and do not mind the brick-built hull and sails. I think I prefer it over the Brick Bounty because of the more interesting color scheme. I hope it comes out in the U.S. soon...
