CrazyKreations started following 42154 B-Model | Ferrari F40
-
Hey all, we'd like to present another alternate build from the Lego 42154-1 Ford GT set. This was the best I could do out of the Ford GT! Honestly, I'd just like to hear if you guys liked it :) A 1/12 Scale Technic Ferrari F40. When designing this model, we wanted to preserve the Ferrari's iconic features and looks to make it a worthy replica of the famous sports car. The limited parts available in the Ford GT set proved challenging, making a functional car that looks accurate and performs as a good display piece. I want to say that when designing the model we built it to act as a shelf princess with some extra features. Our Instagram for more photos: InstagramNow let's dive into the features Features: Accurate and detailed F40 V8 Engine (working) RWD Suspension on both front and rear axles (limited in the front) HOG steering Interior with steering wheel and seats Opening doors Accurate F40 exhaust design 1/12 Scale (same scale as Ford GT) Tilting Hood Pop up Headlights A tilting Rear section that exposes the engine, rear suspension and exhaust Full independent suspension

Hello Everyone, Crazykreations here with another update to the truck. We have switched out the tyres that were mandatory for the TC27 competition with the tractor tyres that fit the same size rims for better grip offroading (The contest submission is over, so tyres don't matter:). Enjoy the video we made of it offroading in the wild!

Hey everyone, This is my last WIP Post on here for this contest submission. I want to thank everyone for reading and following on while I was building this model, I hope you all liked how the model turned out. I have a video that I will embed below of all the functions and features for this Contest entry so please have a look at that. I will release more videos of different mods and improvements and some videos of it driving outside and setting it up outside this contest discussion very soon :)

There is no central differential. As I have said before, there is no need for a central differential. I will show an example of the outriggers in a video

I do understand what you mean, however, If the caravan was put on a steep slope the outriggers obviously wouldn't be able to accept the height difference. If the outriggers were to be put on an uneven offroad terrain that is mostly flat but is far from perfect they would adapt to the height difference. Again, this will not be parked on the side of a mountain but a decent clearing. Your argument that the outriggers will not adapt to every height doesn't make sense as you would have to ask yourself the question, Will you park the camper trailer on an extremely uneven or tilted surface? Even in real life, realistically, no one will park their camper trailer on terrain that lacks a basic horizontal angle. If you are one of those people who engages in extreme camper trailer parking, I think my camper trailer will work but you would have to choose a safer more appropriate clearing/area to park your trailer *The sum of the front travel does not have to be the same as the rear, they can lower independently of each other so they do adapt to the surface.

This will probably be my last or second workbench post as I have just finished the camper trailer. Before anyone says anything about the camper trailer not being out of a tent I have an explanation. I decided to build a hybrid camper trailer that combines the best of both worlds, a lightweight camper design that isn't the full size of a caravan. You also get the extra space and rigidity of a caravan without it being so big. This is my camper trailer. I still have a few things to polish here and there but it is mostly finished. I just need to make some changes to the Fender designs and clean up some random colours. I should have a video of all the functions of this full entry soon. The camper has the following features: - Pop-top for the roof - trailing arm suspension - Multiple storage and bench compartments - 2 output gearboxes for the outrigger deployment and pop-top roof lifting - Synchronised outriggers, courtesy of my differential design for the lowering and lifting mechanism - Rear door with lock - spare wheel rear bumper with integrated steps I just wanted to also say that I have changed the M-Motor for the steering from a fake one to an authentic Lego motor (I honestly had to check if I was using any fake motors and I did it not on purpose. I have now changed it). The rules stated that I can't use any imitation Lego motors and parts but Jim has allowed me to, due to a grey area, to proceed I must only use the battery box as an alternative power source and nothing else so I just wanted to talk about that for a bit before I show the photos.

Ooo alright, so that means that my entry would be disqualified. I’ll try and find another power source for the truck then…

I have made a coded speed control profile for the steering motor so it can be more controllable.

Thanks, I will use the wheels that are valid for the entry, (These wheels are just for the early stages of the development).

Hello, Crazykreations here with my next workbench update on the trailer. The 2-output gearbox has been rebuilt and added to the trailer chassis for the camper trailer. The mechanism for the outriggers works as I expected, allowing the trailer to be stable even when there is uneven terrain. Hopefully, my next workbench post will include some progress on the exterior of the camper trailer. I am planning to have a lever mechanism for the lifting roof with the linear actuator.

I understand the problems with this concept, but I have found a solution. The mechanism is made so that all of the outriggers will fold and turn to their position (even if one outrigger goes first). I will show in my next post. That is a great idea! A different cab fully based on a specific truck will look good.
