hawkwind replied to Polarlicht's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingCouldn’t you change the axles to be dual pendular with a central joint causing them to rotate in opposite? I’ll Mess around and post if I have any success.

hawkwind replied to Jim's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingNot sure, but I hope they release a servo so we can just buwizz instead of PU. Rotation sensor in motors is nice though

Your Best Technic Bargains
hawkwind replied to Kumbbl's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingDoes any body know any american BrickLink sellers with good prices? I am also extremely jealous of the ridiculous deals people are getting. Are people getting these online or just finding them at garage sales and such?

[HELP] Generic Building Help Topic
hawkwind replied to Jim's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingNow I have a new problem: if I load in an LDD model with parts such as the forked suspension arms, they load in, however I cannot find them in the LDD parts inventory. Am I doing something wrong?

[MOC] Compact 2 Speed Automatic Gearbox
hawkwind replied to TechnicBrickPower's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHave you tested this in a vehicle? I feel like it would just transfer the power to the lower gear ratio because the differential would slip immediately. Still a really cool concept though.

Control+ General Discussion
hawkwind replied to Jim's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingIf the port is patented, does that mean that no Buwizz or similar can exist for PU?

Control+ General Discussion
hawkwind replied to Jim's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI’m wondering, is it worth it to buy control+ or just stock up on pf? I’m concerned that within a decade control + will be bricked. I do not like the approach LEGO is taking because it is complicating something that is supposed to be simple with a sub par app. The 9v system works thirty years later, I kind of wonder what control + will do in 2050.

[HELP] Generic Building Help Topic
hawkwind replied to Jim's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingCould someone give some explanation on how to efficiently use Bricklink Studio 2.0? I wanted to try designing something in there and then buying the parts and tinkering with it physically, but I am having so much trouble inserting pins into pinholes, getting things at the same elevation, etc. It takes me about five minutes to get a differential in a 5x7 frame.

[WIP] Bergmann Swivel Tip Dumper
hawkwind replied to JLiu15's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingIf you do want to use the new differentials, you can buy the 65414 and 65413 parts for significantly cheaper if you buy them in the bricks and pieces section for about 2.00 USD each compared to upwards of 15.00 USD each on bricklink.

[HELP] Generic Building Help Topic
hawkwind replied to Jim's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingSo I'm wanting to start working on advanced Lego Technic builds, and am wondering where to start. I already have a reciever, controller, battery pack and a fair understanding of how cars and suspension work, and want to know 1. What is the best thing to start trying and learning about and 2. If I am mainly interested in making off road type rc vehicles to start, want to just buy power functions and am not really interested in buying the powered up powered parts, where is the best place to spend my first 200-250 USD on Technic parts?
