Hey all. I've built some more of the east wing. I added the central tower, southeast gallery, bell towers, lookout tower and part of the courtyard. The next steps will be to add the last small building in one corner of the courtyard and of course the astronomy tower. Sorry for the bad-ish photos, I really need to find a better way to take pictures. Here's a look from the other side: Some more can be seen here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/189983961@N08/albums/72157715675147848/with/50447395872/

Thanks! Yeah you may have seen some photo's on Flickr. The buildings I'm making (currently in stud.io and some, like the viaduct entrance, already in bricks) have easy-to-remove floors/roofs, so you can access interiors that way. I'm planning on doing it like that for now, so that all buildings will be fully closed from the outside. Maybe I should look into a system with hinges for some of the other parts. Here's a stud.io render of the whole east wing, which is sort of finished except for the dungeons/rock work. Will try to update at some point when I have actually built more of it besides the one building so far.

Hi all, Long time lurker here, but time to make my first post! Recently came out of my "dark ages" during the Covid lockdown. Rediscovered my love for lego and specifically the Harry Potter theme and naively decided to start building Hogwarts in minifigure-ish scale. It's a big project and it will take ages, but it's been a lot of fun so far! After finding out as much as I could on the castle lay-out, the first building I tackled was the Viaduct Entrance. I tried to stick very closely to the building style and colour scheme of the official sets. You can find a couple more images here https://flic.kr/s/aHsmQiHZhL Interior/scene-wise I haven't done too much as you will see, beside making a library with a restricted section, you'll see there. But that is a work in progress, I'll focus on the exteriors first of all and we'll see how far we get :).
