Hard to say. They seem to jump around a lot on legacy, which is fine. The first wave this year moved to season 5 for the first time under legacy, then the next wave was a set from the pilots and one from season 1. I do hope they make the nrg dragon again, green is my favorite color and I love that dragon

I’m surprised at how many people are confused here and elsewhere tbh. It’s called Ninjago: REIMAGINED. And, they’ve stated several times that it’s mostly a non canon or “canon if you want it to be” thing, with one exception apparently. Probably the wu and time twins one. So while this could surely inspire a season of ninjago, it’s not canon for certain right now. I loved it though!! Makes me want to write a full story in this world about getting the ninja back and what happened and all

I’m glad to get maya over neither of them, but I have to say I’ll be disappointed if we don’t get Ray considering they both got new outfits and he’s seeming to be in the season more than I expected (all I expected as a brief cameo in one episode). Maybe a mini figure accessory thing, we haven’t got one since golden Zane

Yeah, when the first part came out it was cited as 1/4. I believe part 2 also said 2/4. I LOVE the Ninjago soundtrack though, so I would be overjoyed to see a part 5 with the island and seabound content. It would also explain why Jay Vincent hasn’t posted island stuff on his SoundCloud yet, the last few seasons he’s done that as they release in English.

it’s very possibly group 2 (or at least the ninja) will be joining the others partway through. We’re only guessing with fragments now, but we know they fight Kaalmar from the trailer but the episode descriptions say nya and her team go to the island to get the amulet one episode before the other team is looking for it at the explorers club (where they fought kaalmar in the trailer) so I imagine Nya and co. Will be tagging after him and they’ll all meet up. Even if some of them never get scuba suits I still much prefer getting things that don’t appear in the show to having an incomplete set that will never get filled it. It bothers me SO much that we didn’t get Digi Zane, even thought they frigging made a design for it!! Ideally things appear in both the show and sets but if need be, better to have a complete lineup of each ninja suit than have random awful looking gaps in them.

I could go either way on this, by the time a new movie would be made and released the current designs would probably have been in use even longer than the original ones. And people change their hairstyles, that’s not unreasonable. I understand nostalgia and preferring one design to another, but I never understood the people who get incredibly worked up and hateful on the basis that they can’t and never should have changed their looks. I’m not saying anyone here has been acting like that, just that I’ve seen it before elsewhere. So yeah, I like the old and new designs and I’m not eager for them to change a third time, but if a new movie comes out and it happens again that’s fine by me too. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if they change again in 2023 or maybe 24 regardless of there being a new movie, just as an attempt to freshen up the show as they constantly have to do so.

I know I’m a little behind on this thread, but I just wanted to say this could TOTALLY work as a second Ninjago movie. The only problem is LEGO movies aren’t under WB anymore, right? So I guess if we do get another Ninjago movie it could be a third continuity, in which case this concept fits even more perfectly. I love it so much!

the face doesn’t bother me as much (due to it mostly being covered) as much as the overall design being nothing like Bolobo’s appearance in the show. The other two elemental masters in the set aren’t 100% perfect, but they’re really close to screen accurate! Why is Bolobo different? At some point if it’s nothing like the character, why even make them? (Bolobo still looks like himself, I’m just saying in general). Don't get me wrong, I like the design. But it makes no sense. Unless he appears in season 14? It is set on a jungle island and we haven’t seen Bolobo since season 4 so it’s possible.

Most likely Nya but that’s not really on point for this particular thread This has me wondering and thinking about (once again) how hard it would be to make a full on Ninjago city, like add more stuff to it. I’m really pretty bad with making my own stuff so I was wondering if anyone else had the same though as me that maybe the Chinese New Year sets could fit in well with the city? If you do just a little custom work to layer them and make them a bit taller to match the buildings. I’m not sure what other sets would go well with the Ninjago city ones, but now I want to make a full city more than ever...

As much as I wanted the set to basically be a Ninjago CMF, I think deep down we all knew that wouldn’t happen. These city sets always come with some civilians that make sense to go with the building, and that’s honestly fine in my opinion as it simply makes sense - a huge building in a populated city should have some regular people to give it life. That said, the main thing that bothers me is the mismatched ninja. I like we’re finally getting little Lloyd, but regardless of that we should’ve gotten all of them as casual. I honestly can’t believe after 10 long years of wanting casual ninja from the show they only gave us half! What’s the point of that? Can’t do much with half of them and having an incomplete set is almost worse than having none of them. I guess with Zane’s modern hair coming out we can make customs, but still it isn’t quite the same. That’s the biggest disappointment for me, the kai and Zane are utterly wasted figures as we’ve gotten those over and over again. Especially Legacy 1 kai, I have a bigger army of him than of any actual armies that have featured in Ninjago. At least the Zane has a titanium head and not the movie one. Clutch powers is also wasted space, he was available quite recently and for pretty cheap. There was no need to make him available again, but oh well I guess, it’s not that bad. On the bright side, finally we’re getting the mechanic! Also a new Misako and ronin, and the golden wu. They all look great. I do wish we could’ve swapped clutch for skylor (I mean seriously, Chen’s noodles but neither Chen is in the set?), and maybe a civilian for Pixal. Or better yet, someone we’ve never had like Cyrus Borg or Zane’s father. As it is, we’re getting a massive $300 set with only one entirely new character in minifigure form that’s from the show. That’s pretty disappointing. But the set overall is absolutely amazing and I really can’t wait to get it! The build is just fantastic in every section from bottom to top, they really came though with an amazing set.
