I need this raised baseplate But the best I can do in the UK is Would it be wrong to spray paint it green. Please let me know what you all think because I'm really torn on this. Update...... I decided not to spray it. I covered the yellow and blue with green plates and used a green paint pen to colour over the blue waterfall that goes up the side. This has worked out ok and made for a good compromise that is barely noticeable.

Another confusing set from Lego. My take on this is that it is a black Knight set. The guy with the shield is a spy and he has captured the boat and is forcing another guy to row him back home where he will keep the treasure in the barrel and report back to the black falcons.

Stickers have never been good and never will be good. I don't even apply them. I stopped doing that 10 years ago. Printed bricks should be kept to a minimum. I hate the sheer quantity of head face designs. Just give me a smile. Star wars is getting boring. Get rid of the blind bag minifigures. Lastly and I know this will be unpopular. I am not a fan of over detailed, over constructed MOCs. Some people get way too carried away with the detail.

Lukandros, I'm a fan of your castle. It makes more sense.

That's an extensive list. I guess we can thank the internet for helping to standardise Lego's naming. It seems the only true faction is the black Knights as they have the same name across the board.

I love what that guy has done to improve the castle. It is true that the left side is poor. I like how he has put in similar features to tie it in.

It seems that both castle sets and the factions have different names depending upon where you live. As a child I always called the black falcons black Knights and I called the black Knights dragon knights. The lion knights are often called the crusaders by some but is that politically correct. I've always preferred lion knights. So what's your take on the different names for both factions and sets that are out there.

Do it, I might share my map one day but I'm trying to iron out a story to make sense of it. My map depicts all the structures from the yellow castle era to the royal knights. It's good fun to put it all together logically.

These are all interesting ideas but I don't think the dragon master are a spin-off from the black Knights neither are the royal knights. I imagine a land of many factions and in that land the dragon masters live amongst the mountains beyond the dark forest. In a small enclave between the mountains and the dark forest lives the royal knights who are a small faction charged with guarding the only river crossing to the north. Majesto the wizard lives in the mountains and the forest. The dark forest is like a great boundary that separates the land from the south where the lion knights and black falcons live. I've made a map to keep me happy. You gotta have a map.

The error with the flags in 6081 drive me mad but in my own story that I have created I have decided that 6081 was an abandoned haunted castle high in a mountain region long forgotten about. The female maiden is the Queen of the black Knights and she has found the ghost of her deceased husband the black monarch in the castle and so she has claimed the place for the black Knights. Unfortunately her guard were ambushed in the haunted forest by Wolfpack and the lion knights have dispatched a small force to retake the castle which is who we see in the set now occupying the castle. It's a bit of a push but I have come to accept it as a reasonable explanation.

I voted average. The box is great and I would definitely call them the dragon masters as it sounds much cooler. It's a great shame they didn't go with the idea on the back to the right as it looks much better. I never liked the dragon head it totally puts me off collecting these sets and yet I love the idea behind the dragon masters. Shame.

The Black Knights are cool and tbh when I was a kid I used to call them dragon knights as dragons feature widely but the sets of the actual dragon knights are a mixed bag and for me they show a real shift in direction for Lego. Once you reach the fright knights the game is well and truly up.

Sorry. I've just had another look at the sets and it's just dragon heads everywhere. 6076, 6020 and 6048 are ok but 6043 and 6082 just don't do it for me. I can't see the sense in waisting so many bricks on dragon heads. Also there are lots of colour combinations in these sets whereas sets before tended to stick to 2 colours. Plus I never liked the big flags. Sorry again.

I don't own 6081 but I one day will. To look for a positive I can see a little place for the ghost to live next to the gate. But why does the tower have a hinged window with bars on it? It can't be a prison as there already is one. I do like the double crossbow. It's a nice touch, and the tree helps to balance that side out.

The Royal Castle isn't one I've given much thought too as I don't like the faction. However after just looking at it now I think it's a great castle with some cool elements. A great use of a raised base. I would swap out the blue for red and then change the faction to either Black Knights or Lion Knights.
