Liebherr 9800 deal at Costco USA
I've been eyeing the Liebherr 9800 for a while, and just saw that Costco.Com is selling to members in the USA for $369 -- finally picked it up. Incidentally they have a bunch of other lego on sale as well. Sadly the Johnny 5 moc is no longer available on Rebrickable...

BuWizz - High Performance LEGO Power Functions Controller and Battery
Finally received my 2 buwizz 3 and 2 motors. They work great but disappointed that the latest version of the buwizz app doesnt support technic hubs. Also the latest brickcontroller 2 cant talk to buwizz 3. So no way to control a hybrid technic hub/buwizz creation from a single app. There also seems to be a bug with return to center steering not calibrating. Hopefully this gets worked out soon. congrats on finally shipping these in any case during a pandemic!

42055 - Bucket Wheel Excavator - MODs and Improvements
dlee98 replied to Imanol BB's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling@Imanol BB: I reconstructed the base of the model using IMANOL's LXF file to use 2 PoweredUp/Control+ motors, seems to work well. However, the 8:1 reduction using the worm gears to 8 tooth makes the base a bit slow. Has anyone tried less reduction in the base? Is there still enough power to move the model at 4:1 or 2:1? I also used more L motors (poweredUp) to run the other functions and it works pretty well. All being controlled with Brickcontroller 2 connected to X Box wireless controller: 2 L: Base for tracks: Left + Right trigger for forward, backward, Left and right shoudler for turn left, turn right 1 L: Bucket wheel + Upper Belt: Y button to turn on/off (brickcontroller used to set the speed) 1L: Lower Belt: B button to turn on/off (brickcontroller to set speed) 1L motor each: Left stick: Up/Down to tilt the bucket wheel up/down, left/right to swivel entire bucket wheel left/right I did not motorize the swivel function on the lower belt

Control+ General Discussion
I've been having fun using Control+/PU motors to motorize the 42055 BWE using Brickcontroller -- but I have the same question on configuration. I can't see in any of the apps where there is a way to limit or put stops on the number of turns the motor will make to avoid for example actuators hitting their limits. Seems like it should be doable considering the PU L and XL motors can count how many rotations they have done...
