If I could code, I'd be designing video games. But I cannot code, so instead, I create virtual versions of all my models and create scenes with them, for my entertainment. I give you the fleet roster of the Commonwealth of Solaria! Show me your MOCs and spaceships! Warning: It's a friggin BIG picture. https://i.ibb.co/5r3wn1J/COMMONWEALTH-NAVY.png

Been working on this the past few days. I give you, the internet, Stratosphere Defense Command! The nerve center for the entire Commonwealth navy, it lies in low orbit of the desert world Duronis, in the little world I live in. Though well-armed with capital-grade heavy lasers, it is fully covered by OWPs higher up, and surface to orbit cannons on the surface. Took me a couple days to get all the detailing done, and a few hours playing with contrasts and angles to get something I was finally satisfied with, but am most pleased with the result! Models are mine; background is a generic Mars picture from Google images I touched up. https://i.ibb.co/nnLDqXh/Stratosphere-Defense-Command-2.png

It honestly reminds me something out of The Expanse, like a one- or two-man survey ship.
  4. Saw the Lego Ideas submission, pity it didn't take off. Still, those are pretty cool. Got a few I'd like to make at least virtually, before trying to build the real thing, to take to shows, once the plague is no longer a thing!

Haven't seen it, but nice design!

That's super cool, didn't realize they came in ALL those colours!
  7. Hella impressive! Say, has anyone on here ever rendered the Terran Wraith from Starcraft?
  8. VERY impressive! I knew someone who actually built this. I need instructions for the battlestar Pegasus in this scale! It will become my desk, and I don't mind at all!
  9. I've noticed occasionally the site doesn't load, does anyone else notice any downtime on here every so often?
  10. Duly noted, Duvors! Any other avid roleplayers/writers around these parts?
  11. Thank you mister samurai-turtle, will do!
  12. Thanks, I'll check it out! Also looking to gauge interest for some new stuff, if there are any takers. Some more pretty CG pewpew for your eyeballs! https://i.ibb.co/RCPSBWT/Central-Assault-1.jpg https://i.ibb.co/bRWZ9hd/broadside-battle-background-2.jpg https://i.ibb.co/P5yf38M/space-battle-3-2.png https://i.ibb.co/mJH0xXg/Space-battle-6b.png https://i.ibb.co/RvGPNfR/cruisers-in-dock.jpg
  13. Greetings fellow space travelers! And whether you realize it or not, we are all traveling through space! Even if it's just to go to the kitchen for another drink. I'm a frequent lurker who finally decided to create a profile so I can meaningfully contribute. I'm an avid roleplayer and have recently converted most of my physical models to digital, in Stud.io. Lately, I've been experimenting with designs that would not be able to be built IRL 9due to gravity or clipping) and experimenting with weapons fire effects. Just saying hey!

So I did something similar a while back with some friends and we built up quite a bit of steam before it suddenly fizzled out due to stuff happening IRL (one friend got married, bought a house, and deciced to go to university in his late 20s, another was moving to another city, and a third got mad depressed and could barely get out of bed)that basically involved freeing an ecumenopolis (that's a city-planet, like Coruscant) from the hands of some vile space pirates. It was a cross-universe thing we did; we had ships from my little universe, star wars and battlestar galactica. I saved the story as we had it into a MS Word doc before the forum was taken down due to inactivity, because it was a blast to partake in. Later, I managed to 'acquire' the stud.io files for a number of star wars and BSG ships, and have been toying with the idea of rendering a scene or ten from that story, in stud.io. Where I'm going with this here, is to see if anyone would be interested in revisiting the idea. The goal was to have fun and tell a story collaboratively. The forum boards are not too active, but I did want to gauge what level of interest peeps might have. Some shiny renders from that story I put together to grab you by the eyeballs. https://i.ibb.co/8KLDZn5/Central-Assault-1-2.png https://i.ibb.co/8KLDZn5/Central-Assault-1-2.png
