Thx! I did forget to share the livery under the flag of the DRG as Baureihe 18.4: http://DRG 18.4 SIMON JAKOBI by Simon Jakobi, auf Flickr http://DRG 18.4 SIMON JAKOBI by Simon Jakobi, auf Flickr http://DRG 18.4 SIMON JAKOBI by Simon Jakobi, auf Flickr

Hi, there! It`s time for a true classic... one of the most beautiful pacifics out there... the famous bavarian S 3/6! I returned to this old project when I finished my BR 18 Rheingold. The Windschneidenführerhaus is a real challenge. The angled sidewalls are quite easy to aligne but the curved roof where all those angles meet is a nightmare. I came up with this solution: the little fragments of the roof are fixed in the right angle and height by bars with clips on rigid hoses. Most of the other sections are quite similar to my concept for my BR 18. Of course I did carve out some detail here and there and she received a lower tender. I checked different deliveries while designing. With some slight part changes you can build this beauty in dark green, new reddish brown, blue, dark blue, dark gray, gray and black of course. Some of the many liveries you can find out there also feature a black smokebox. I hope you like my approach and enjoy the first renderings. Greetings, Simon! http://K.Bay.Sts.B. 3. I have good news... Martin from Bricks on Rails will provide instructions!!! 4. I really like the loco! It certainly would be a perfect match for the small diorama of a railroad close to the coastline I saw recently. This perfect engine deserves a sweet layout showcasing the very special feel you described. Very well done! Greetings, Simon!
  5. I really like this color sceme. Of course dark blue would be nice too but I think purple is closer. There were several other trains in such a livery. Check out DR 877 ("Fliegender Hamburger"), DR 137 or the "Henschel-Wegmann-Zug"!
  6. Happy new year! I could not resist... this is my answer to TLC Orient Express! I while ago I was messing around with the famous bayrische S3/6. But I never was quite happy with my solution of the streamlined cabine design. TLC Orient Express gave me the kick I needed to switch over towards the simpler BR 18.5 - 18.6 design in order to build a full consist of the famous german Rheingold. It is easy to see that the concept of the loco is widely based on my latest well proved BR 01 design and the concept of the wagons was stolen from my F-Zug. Due to the big cylinders and the length of the wagons this model is restricted to big radi. http://DRG BR 18 with Rheingold Express SIMON JAKOBI by Simon Jakobi, auf Flickr http://DRG BR 18 with Rheingold Express SIMON JAKOBI by Simon Jakobi, auf Flickr http://DRG BR 18 with Rheingold Express SIMON JAKOBI by Simon Jakobi, auf Flickr http://DRG BR 18 with Rheingold Express SIMON JAKOBI by Simon Jakobi, auf Flickr

My 01 has XXL wheels. L is way too small. I gave L wheels a chance on my 03 on LEGO IDEAS: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/5c87154b-3396-4343-ac5e-42a5f10bd988 As I mentioned above the design of the egines is pretty close. When you compare my 01 to my 03 the improvement by using XXL-wheels is obvious.

The rods are custom parts from bricks-on-rails.de.

Thank you all! I do not have lots of time for our great hobby at the moment. The more happy I`am that you like my little consist. Maybe next year I will add a baggage wagon. Dark green would be nice. At the moment the plattforms of our Layout are too short. Greetings, Simon!

DB 01 & F-ZUG LEGO SIMON JAKOBI 01 02 by Simon Jakobi, auf Flickr This year I was lucky to finish a long term project... My 01 did receive a major overhaul and some matching rolling stock. Together they form a full consist of a german F-Zug. The new version of my blue lady was inspired by my concept for a 03 on LEGO IDEAS. The tender is all new. I did change the roof and cabine of the engine. The cylinders and several details of the boiler were improved too. But what is most important: She proofed herself as quite a reliable and strong runner on the first exihibtions. Please note: the wagons are slightly shortend by two or three windows and feature standard couplings to keep them compatibel with the engines of other designers and the small radii (R72 and R88) of our LUG-Layout. Up to now I build three wagons including a dinning car. All of the wagons feature full interior and internal illumination. 11. Hi! Maybe some of you have discovered my DB 120 on BRICKS ON RAILS the other day. But there is more to come... Over the last years I made several attempts to design this iconic and outstanding loco which is from a technical perspective mother to all of the modern locos and even to the first ICE generation as well. Every time I dropped the process pretty early although the series 120 was my all time favourit loco in my childhood. All of those angles and slopes on the front gave me nightmares. What happend? New elements! With 37352 it suddenly came all together rather fast. As you can see my MOC can be powered by PF-L-motors and controlled by SBRICK or you can switch to PU-L-motors and PU-hub. But once I was pleased with the first renderings of my 120 the desire for wagons grew. First I came up with some regular Interregio- and Intercity-wagon. Sorry, but I am really poor when it comes to the vast variety of wagon types. Then I moved on to a control cab coach. By that point I was already fallen mad into a strong maniac episode which came to its end with some rolling stock in the famous TEE livery featuring a regular car and a restaurant! I hope you like the result of my latest project. All aboard, summer sneaks around the corner, holidays are in sight. 12. THX!!! Heavy haul operations. Furthermore these lcocs pushed all kinds of trains upwards some steep ramps like "Geislinger Steige" or "Spessart Rampe"
