  1. I guess you’ll hate to hear I have 69 of them. I’ve done the legwork while traveling to find them and have no regrets. Some of us are actual collectors (not scalpers) to build an army that we’ve invested in for a long period of time. Should we wait until they’re $30+ each to give everyone else a chance first? I’ve actually found them easy to find if you just do a little research and get out for the hunt. If you want just a couple, they’re available online for a decent price without having to use gas and time to find as others of us have done.
  2. The best part is the name of the inn in that set. Hope to see it show up (maybe as a GWP) next year.
  3. I thought the same thing. They did this with the bard CMF with the crown coin that was a teaser of sorts for the Lion Knights castle and girl knight CMF.
  4. Just took a break for dinner….This thing is amazing. I’m only on bag 7 but am just enamored with the techniques, parts, and details that are included. The new Lion Knights shields are fantastic. I really like the update. Back to it…!
  5. I still have a feeling that we’ll see these sets again as a VIP point redemption to give everyone another shot at getting at least one. You have to at least hand it to Lego for creating hype and demand on products. Their distribution and logistics planning is abysmal, but they drive FOMO and demand very well. That said, it sucks being on the short end of that. I have 4 Forest Hideouts in hand another on the way with a 3 in 1 Viking set. I had been hoping to get a 6th with the Castle tomorrow, but that’s likely not going to happen. I know some will say I got plenty, but I’ve been a long time Castle-only collector, this is all I buy. Everyone and their sister who bought an Atari, Camaro, Sanctum, etc got one and probably threw it on eBay. Im keeping all of mine to get those figures and parts into my kingdom. Let’s hope we see it back again.
  6. Well, I stopped by my local Legoland Discovery Center yesterday and they had mistakenly put one out for sale. I quickly purchased it and ran home with it. 5% off and got the Forest Hideout GWP with it too! Building it today.
  7. I’m purchasing day 1 online and in store. I’m with you, no chances being taken with this one,
  8. I’ve owned every one of these castles except 375/6075 (never liked the yellow color) and bought them all pretty much when they were released (or as gifts earlier on). For me, it came down to 6086 and 6090. Both were incredibly different than their predecessors and felt like large, fortified structures…but 6090 was a game changer to me. It had so many interesting details that I had never seen in a Lego castle before - and it was huge! I rebuilt it last year after years of moving around the country and felt the same thrill as when 17 year old me built it in 1995. I still think the rear tower is one of the best ever designed in a set. I never really liked the Lion crest for that faction, but the sets, and this castle in particular, were fantastic.
  9. Yeah, I’d say next year is the earliest we’ll be getting any Castle-y stuff again. They’ve done good by us lately with the Vikings ship, Castle, and Forest Hideout as well as the 3 in 1 and Blacksmith still on the shelves. I really like your idea of the Guarded Inn being redone…that was my favorite set until the MVV was released. Good stuff.
  10. I’ve got one on the way and will get another when I purchase the castle, but I’m still hoping they made so many that they will be available via VIP points at some point.
  11. 10176 had stickers for the shields, but that was kind of a unique castle. I agree with you though that these are prints in the new castle.
  12. I got the same thing today. Not too much longer now…
  13. I know, right? Joking aside, I think we might get them more often this time. Long before any talk of this castle or even the Medieval Blacksmith/3 in 1 Castle, there were those of us who we’re wishful for Lego to build a once a year Creator Expert style Castle set (similar to the annual modular buildings). Maybe this might actually lead into it? It doesn’t have to be $300 plus, just some sort of tower (Wolfpack), mid size castle (Black Knights, etc), market, weaponry, ship, etc each year in the $150-$300 range to wet our appetites. They could still continue the ~$100 Creator 3 in 1 sets and have these for the upper range. Throw in an accompanying GWP like they did with this and they do with the modular buildings and we’d get some smaller stuff to fill the gaps. This is my dream anyway as I don’t think we’re getting a full line any time soon unless it’s a medieval/fantasy license.
  14. Really doesn’t bother me, keeps the nostalgic thing going for sure. However, I would personally have preferred dark brown for this and the GWP. I’ll be going with a dark brown change for this castle as well. My brother and I used to make our annual big Lego purchases at TRU during one of their BOGO 50% off sales from the 90s on. While their prices were a bit higher than other retailers, it worked out very well with the sale. I still have multiple smaller MISB Castle sets from the Fantasy, Kingdoms, and final line because I bought so many during those sales. I miss filling shopping carts full of Castle sets…
