Chevrolet Apache 1958
syzygy87 replied to syzygy87's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThank you, it's always nice to hear such praise from someone who builds at your level :) Choice of models a bit repetitive, somehow lately I build trucks over and over again ;)

Chevrolet Apache 1958
This time something rounder - finally :) It started with the lights, which are taken from my Impala. However, the whole trick is to extend their shape, which is possible thanks to the available bricks (37352+1750). To my delight, it also turned out that it's possible to split the headlight housings in half - exactly as I wanted, because that's how two-color Apaches are painted. Two-color is an interesting thing - on the one hand it makes the appearance more attractive, on the other it simplifies the construction, because in fact half (or maybe most) of the car is white ;) Thanks to this, I finally managed to build the car in orange. Disadvantage - the bonnet flap is very much inspired by a leg pickup. Somehow it came out that way... :) I focused on the headlights, grill, then started gluing the top.... and nothing else fit me there. Unfortunately it is very similar to what Lego built. Building this model I finally didn't feel like some kind of craftsman, like with the previous model (Monte Carlo), which I finished out of some strange sense of obligation.... Here I started with a cool use of parts and had the feeling that it would be something new, not another square car with a slightly different grill ;) These curves also worked well for me, of course there were a few moments where the hobby tired me more than the work, but overall I had fun. And I felt it would be a good model, which helps a lot and motivates me to keep working. ...but is it good in your opinion? :) REBRICKABLE FLICKR INSTAGRAM Features (as always): -working steering wheel; -openable 2 doors, hood and tailgate; -detailed engine, interior and body shape.

Yo, you have no choice - jump in. Tuco in the back seat insists. Hello after the break! I'm back with another model - this time I'm returning to (my) Breaking Bad “theme” :) The model was born in slight pains, somehow I lost momentum and enthusiasm, but managed to finish. It's not my best model, but I'm satisfied with the rear - the trunk has a characteristic fold. Unfortunately the lights don't have a silver frame - it didn't work :( I'm curious to hear your opinions! :) Creator expert scale. Features:-working steering wheel;-openable 2 doors, hood and trunk;-detailed engine, interior and body shape.-details from Jessie's original car: fist behind the rear window, dice under the mirror, Mary's figurine, low-rider control panel. syzygy87 replied to syzygy87's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThanks a lot! The gap is half-stud long, but it is necessary... In my F100 someone reminded me of its absence, now I remember it :) Although it requires a bit of work (e.g. moving the rear axle by half stud). Thank you so much! :)
