Why don't you buy these instead? They're the updated versions of the cone. The only difference is the top groove.
  2. 23) Mechanic Entry (Build by Darkblane) - 1 point 27) Flamenco Dancer Entry (Build by Skafte) - 1 point 36) Genie Entry (Build by graznador) - 1 point
  3. 7) Art Deco (Flamenco Dancer) Entry (Build by lisqr) - 3 points
  4. My set has the pin joiners without slots, so they do exist.
  5. Production runs for this set are low for some reason or another. I've never seen this set at the LEGO store or at TRU (I'm in the US). I thought originally that they were just selling out really quickly at the stores and I kept missing it, but the LEGO store employees told me that they've only had about 2-3 shipments of them. Either TLG severely underestimated the demand for this set or there is some other production issue that is slowing down the output of this set.
  6. Helmets with moveable visors came out in 70s. They were present as far back as the yellow castle. Those visors were probably the best parts of that set.
  7. The dot codes are not randomized (or that would defeat the purpose of having them coded), but rather they dot patterns change with each batch, or every few batches. The batch numbers are found along the same area as the dots. Unless you know what the dot pattern is for the specific batch that you are looking at, the dot codes are unreliable.
  8. Hi Avenger, I've ordered both light bluish gray and old light gray levers from Bricklink. In my opinion, the old gray doesn't look too noticeable since they are so small. The mast rigging goes in the back of the Falcon, over the trans-blue tiles. They are visible parts, so it'll be up to you if you think the black is good enough. I was able to get those from Lego before they were discontinued. I've heard of someone else (it might be on this thread somewhere) of someone painting it gray and they said it looked pretty good. The sticker sheet is a licensed product, so you won't be able to order it from Lego without having the instruction manual (unless you get lucky and get a customer service rep who doesn't ask you for the number in the back). I haven't yet decided what I'm going to do about the stickers, but currently I am stickerless. Good luck on finding the rest of the parts you need!
  9. So did you get black levers or light bluish gray levers? I ordered them months ago, received the black ones, and when I called customer service, they told me the light bluish gray ones were discontinued. I'd love to know if they're still being made.
  10. Hmm, I'll like to venture a guess: 1. Female elf 2. Guy in a cow suit 3. Bowler 4. Female vampire/Elvira type 5. Scarecrow 6. Crocodile Dundee (Australian outbacker) 7. Greek goddess 8. Referee 9. Judge (old style with white wig) 10. Mongolian warrior 11. Fairy with wings 12. Female skiier 13. Matador 14. Hercules (Greek warrior) 15. WWE wrestler 16. Marching band drummer
  11. I found them in the Christmas section of Target. They were $3.49.
  12. Dang, I think you're right. The set doesn't seem as impressive now.
  13. Wow, this looks amazing. I was hoping for some basic villagers, but the printing for the green dress and the nobleman looks fantastic!
  14. This MOC is incredible! I just stumbled across this thread and read through it all. It's amazing to see the landscaping being built up bit by bit. I wish I had the skill and the amount of bricks to be able to create something like this. Thanks so much for sharing your creation and techniques!
  15. If there's any sets that are out of stock at the stores that you want, as long as S@H still carries it, the store will order it for you and ship it free to your home.
