  1. PHASE 10 — Wayne Manor + Batcave is Done A few years. A few thousand bricks. A lot of joy. Wayne Manor sits atop three levels of the Batcave.
  2. PHASE 9 — Batcave Completion The third level of the Batcave has now been completed. Includes an elevator entrance into Wayne Manor as well as the abandoned well entrance to the Batcave too.
  3. PHASE 8 — Wayne Manor Construction Restarted The roof of Wayne Manor has been completed. Put the finishing touches on the front and rear-facing areas of the main building.
  4. PHASE 8 — Wayne Manor Construction Restarted How it started. How it's going.
  5. PHASE 8 — Wayne Manor Construction Restarted The third floor has been completed along with the roof sections for the side rooms. Custom floor tiles are now in place. Some experimentation with adding gargoyles (grotesques) on the exterior of Wayne Manor.
  6. PHASE 8 — Wayne Manor Construction Restarted The roof over the main dining room has been added to the back of Wayne Manor. The second floor grand hall and side rooms have been completed. The front of the second floor of Wayne Manor has been completed. Windows for the grand hall and the side rooms are now all in place. Wayne Manor would not be complete without some exotic warrior statues. There is a Samurai, Crusader Knight, and a Roman Centurion statue in the middle of the grand hall. LEGO King of the Wicker People statue is still under consideration. '
  7. PHASE 8 — Wayne Manor Construction Restarted After more than two years of no work the construction has restarted. Working in the second floor. Custom printed floor tiles in both the grand hall and side rooms.
  8. Working on a skyline MOC of Glasgow. Need some help thinking through how to do a mini version of the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. https://i.ibb.co/Ln4h4Cd/EDC082-E1-7-D9-B-4603-9-F77-E595-D179-A48-E.jpg
  9. After Wayne Manor is destroyed in Batman Begins (2005), the Batcave is out of commission and under construction during The Dark Knight (2008). The Batcave is transformed from a dark lair to a high-tech research lab with concrete walls and a bright geometric ceiling. The backup Batcave is located underground in Gotham City along the riverfront. The spartan accommodations are accessed via a lift hidden within a set of shipping containers. This MOC will take advantage of the limited source material and visuals from The Dark Knight. This MOC will be built out in sections with updates posted periodically online. The first phase was to start with the central lift area that allows the Tumbler to enter and exit the Batcave. The LEGO® DC Batman™ Batmobile™ Tumbler: Scarecrow™ Showdown set was built and modified first. The next step was to build a partially raised lift that will come up from the floor. Custom printed steel floor plate tiles were used along with some standard LEGO tiles and pieces. As always, your feedback and comments are always welcomed.
  10. The comics, movies, and LEGO games all acknowledge that Batman keeps kryptonite in the Batcave -- just in case it is ever needed. We used this inspiration to build a kryptonite vault that will be inside of the Batcave. This is an exterior shot of the the Kryptonite Storage Vault located in the Batcave. The vault has a working door and internal locking mechanism. We made sure to line it in lead to keep it away from the prying eyes of Superman. This is an interior shot of the the Kryptonite Storage Vault located in the Batcave. There are multiple rows of kryptonite, some security devices, and a kryptonite spear too.
  11. [MOC] Wayne Manor + Batcave PHASE 7 — Wayne Manor Construction Continues Work continues on Wayne Manor. In other news, the amount of bricks and pieces on this MOC has required some new shelving and organization. There are a lot of black, yellow, grey, and blue pieces that have to be sorted and kept track of.
  12. [MOC] Wayne Manor + Batcave PHASE 7 — Wayne Manor Construction Continues Some times you try and try and try, but just can't get it to work. We spent hours using different techniques to build the main staircase for Wayne Manor. Different bricks. Different styles. Different angles. Nothing really worked and we called it a day. A clear head and a good night’s sleep helped finish this the next day. Changed the orientation to keep the first floor space open and still achieve a realistic look. Reinforcing the stairs also created a better look for the staircase. When in doubt -- sleep on it.
  13. Thanks! This project has taken longer than I ever thought --- but it is a lot of fun.
  14. [MOC] Wayne Manor + Batcave PHASE 7 — Wayne Manor Construction Continues Completed the front entrance to Wayne Manor. Two heavy doors that are functional with metal and glass accents. From a distance there is a subtle hint of a cowl in the glass.
  15. [MOC] Wayne Manor + Batcave PHASE 7 — Wayne Manor Construction Continues Here is my attempt to recreate a scene from the 1989 Batman movie. “I don’t think I’ve ever been in this room before.” - Bruce Wayne
