You have a great Peterbilt 281 with a great trailer. Unfortunately I have problems with free time, but I will definitely finish my version.

[TC27] Lime dump truck
efgen86 replied to efgen86's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI am very glad that my works inspire someone. I was indeed inspired by the Peterbilt 351/281, but since the contest rules prohibit using real cars, I would prefer to simply call it a yellow truck 😉. I hope to finish it before the end of August, I have very little free time now.

[TC27] Lime dump truck
efgen86 replied to efgen86's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI'm almost done with the chassis for the yellow truck. The engine took its place. I also made the steering, with a working steering wheel in the cockpit.

[TC27] Lime dump truck
efgen86 replied to efgen86's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingDid some work on the yellow truck. I really like the progress, but I'm having trouble with the engine placement. Very limited space under the hood. I think I'll come back to this later while I work on the lime truck.

[TC27] Lime dump truck
efgen86 replied to efgen86's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI'm having a bit of a creative crisis. And to take my mind off things a little, I decided to work on the second model. While still working on the alternative model 42108, I had one idea that I could not implement due to limited parts. I think now is the best time. The main goal is to make an American truck from the 50s. I really like the way their hood opens. And this is approximately what I want to get in the end. Well, a little update on the lime truck. I still have a lot of time and I’m thinking of working on both projects at the same time.

[TC27] Lime dump truck
efgen86 replied to efgen86's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI have an assistant, now the work should go faster. I also received the parts and started making the cabin. I’m not entirely happy with the result yet, there’s a lot of work ahead.

[TC27] Heavy Duty Forklift
efgen86 replied to Stereo's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingA very interesting project. I always thought that the scale of model 42078 was approximately 1/20-1/21, the same as 42128.

[TC27] Technic 49.5 x 20 Tire Vehicle Contest - Discussion Topic
I'm starting to think that my project looks very simple in terms of functionality. Can I change the purpose of the truck while working? For example, instead of a dump truck, I want to make a car crane or a tow truck.

Perhaps my question was not noticed. I'm still interested in hearing the answer.

[TC27] Ford Transit Connect (2008)
efgen86 replied to bruh's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingIf I understand correctly, your drive uses four motors. Rules allows the use of a maximum of four motors. You must have another motor to control it.

[TC27] Technic 49.5 x 20 Tire Vehicle Contest - Discussion Topic
I wanted to clarify whether the wheels on the lift axle can be considered decorative (as in set 42128).

[TC27] Lime dump truck
efgen86 replied to efgen86's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI don't know how often the information needs to be updated. Today I did a little work on the body and hood. On Monday I'm leaving for a week's vacation. At this time the ordered parts will arrive. After the holidays I'll work on the cockpit.

[TC27] Lime dump truck
Hello. Wheels 49.5x20 are my favorite size in Lego, and I couldn't miss such a competition. I recently got pieces in lime green and really liked it, so I've already decided on the scale and color. There were no problems choosing a vehicle either; I’m a fan of American trucks. I like truck tractors, but the 6-wheel limit does not allow me to make a tractor with a trailer, so I chose a dump truck. And the lime color goes very well with white. At the moment I'm working on the dimensions and geometry of the model. I'll do the rear axles now. I'll replace the wheels with white ones, they've already been ordered and are on their way to me along with a bunch of lime-colored parts. I don't speak English. I use Google Translate.

[MOC] Crane-truck
efgen86 replied to Ivan_M's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingVery cool and compact model. I love trucks on this scale. The number of functions is more impressive, and this is from just two engines!

42099 Mods and Improvements
efgen86 replied to efferman's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI didn't have a prototype, only my imagination. The frame was an improvisation, without it the model looked empty. Thanks. I'll change cards a little later when I'm at home.

42099 Mods and Improvements
efgen86 replied to efferman's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling42099 was my first model with suspension and electric drive. I really liked its chassis, but the body was too simple. I decided to make a completely new body, with opening doors and a hood. I also added an imitation of the engine and a working steering wheel in the cabin. To do this, I had to move the swinging axle back.

Classic US truck
efgen86 replied to efgen86's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingUnfortunately, I don't have 49x14 wheels. In the store where I buy the parts, they also do not exist yet, and buying sets for the sake of wheels is expensive for me ... And I also don’t have discs of a suitable color for them, and it’s also problematic to get them. P.S. On a dump truck, these wheels look good.

Classic US truck
efgen86 replied to efgen86's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI had some free time on the weekend and finished the Australian truck. It is based on my previous truck, but there is little in common between them. The most notable differences are the shorter wheelbase, flatbed sleeper, protective grille, other doors and mirrors. The position of the air filters and the exhaust pipe mounts have also changed slightly. Under the hood is a new engine, in-line six-cylinder. The protective grill can be folded back to open the bonnet, and in the upper position it is fixed with two axles. Work on the dump truck has moved forward. But there are several questions here. I couldn't figure out where to put the HOG until I settled on the option to make it removable on the roof and remove it when lifting the body. And secondly, I saw a photo of dump trucks with tanks on the sides of the cab. But where are their battery boxes? Can't decide how to do, two tanks or one side of the tank with another box. I think it will look better symmetrically.

[SMF][MOD] Peterbilt 359
efgen86 replied to Sven J's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI have exactly the same situation with these studs. I just meant that they could be rotated specifically for a staged photo. Or is it a render?
